The best advice I've received about makeup as an African-American woman was from someone that worked at Sephora about getting lighter makeup for darker skin to put under my eyes. It was an epiphany for me and I have used that advice ever since and it has really done wonders for how I have used makeup ever since for lightning my eyes and making them pop. I have been to Sephora all over the country from the East Coast to the West Coast out north and south from Texas to Boston, North Carolina, so Sephora is a place that I do recommend folks to go if you get a rep who is disrespectful just simply write a review and get their name and call them out. Then one day while visiting Newport, it somehow popped in my head, randomly but subconsciously, that they were based out of Newport and had a store front. So I went. Getting to see their full product line and smell everything in one place was dangerous in the best way. My other favorite? Jack Frost. AMAZING! I've ordered multiple candles online since, for myself and for gifts. T customer service is awesome, and I love supporting a locally owned business. Can't make it to the store? Order online or grab them wherever they're sold. Best part? When the candle's done, the glass becomes a drinking glass. Practical brilliance.
