The last few times I ended up walking out without purchasing any thing this time I was out of some of my favorites, leave for a trip tomorrow, and did not have a choice other than to purchase it in person nearby. There was an ungodly amount of people working there. However, there would either be two people helping one person or groups of employees standing around, drinking Starbucks and talking. At one point there is no one at the register with 10 people in line, and then at other points, you would just see employees, casually walk away and texts on their cell phones. I try to ask for help more than once, but could not get their attention to save my life and gave up. I found most of my items like going I'll buy I'll. Sephora was my favorite place in Dallas so it's where I always get my make up but this is an absolute nightmare - at one point I think it was obvious that I was irritated and about to take a picture of three people gossiping with Starbucks orders, and a young man came over and I'm not sure what he said but then he asked how my day was going with an attitude because I asked him what he said because I couldn't hear him the first time and then when I was leaning over to grab some thing asked me what I was looking for and I said the brand that was right in front of me and he was like well look no further it's right in front of you, as if I was blind, and could not see it..... it was utterly painful Lastly, I finally get in line and there's about 15 people in front of me three people get on the register and the line is starting to go down and move quickly than one person peels off and there's two and then I finally get up and a girl looks at me look down at my stuff and goes yeah, the next broken. Check you out signs off and leaves and gets on her phone.... The other girl had an issue with the person she was checking out so it was another 5+ minutes and then finally when I get checked out she asks if I found everything ok and I said barely and asked who helped me and I said no one- and she seemed shocked and repeated it and I reinforced not a single sole... she wasn't thrilled or nice afterwards - I'm guessing she didn't like my answer but don't know what to tell her when I pretty much got the opposite of help and wanted to gtf out of there .. As I leave, the lines long and 2 people behind the check out are hanging and then as I'm walking out I find the other group hanging out. For as much staff as they have here, the place should be immaculate, wells stocked, and great help ... maybe I have high expectations of Sephora from my Dallas experience, but even when it was slammed during the holidays, it was far better than this. What a waste of money having this many people doing so few things. You cannot pay me to go back to this location ....

There were three men working. The men were working register, stocking shelves, and assisting customers. There was also a young lady working there doing wig installs. (She wanted to remain anonymous) She assisted me with finding a particular gel and went back to her customer. I am not experienced with any of the things I needed, so I was talking asking her questions, about what I needed. During the conversation, she said that she braided hair. So, I made an appt. She quoted me an amount of $30 (5-braid style) from the list the owner provided and asked me to return at 5pm. I paid for my items, (a pack of hair, gel & mousse) and left. When I returned, four hours later ready for my appt., the young lady sadly pointed to a new list on the mirror. The owner changed the pricing. Instead of the $30 I was quoted, the price was now $80!!! The owner was still there, and I asked could I speak to him. I explained the situation and said, that changing a price of anything is not a fair business practice, especially after a quote. I went on to say, if you want to change the pricing, why not have it start the following day, instead of at the end of a business day and not honor the pricing that was in place, earlier that day? The owner stated that he owned eight stores, and this was the only store that offered this service, and he didn't want to continue providing that service. I said why don't you just end the service instead of up charging customers? He didn't have an answer and offered to reduce the amount from $80 to $50. I thanked him, smiled, and told him that he lacked integrity and that is a reflection on his character. I went back to the young lady and relayed the conversation. She was so sweet and offered to pay the difference out of her own pocket! I told her "Absolutely Not" and that I had the money, it was the principle. I asked her out of the $30 original quote, what was her percentage? She said he gave her $5!!! The situation bothered her so much, that she quit. She already had her own successful braiding, makeup, and eyelash application business. If you've been to this store, then you will know who she is. She had a flyer up on the mirror with her contact info. I hooked up with her a week later and got my hair braided and it was beautiful!! I try to support local businesses as much as possible, but based on how THIS owner treats his customer and how be belittles his employees, I will NEVER purchase from this store again, or from any of his other stores. Even the guys (his friends) that worked there felt bad but were too scared to speak up. Because he owns so many stores, he doesn't value the people that afforded him this business, with the majority of those being Black and Afro Americans. I understand the convenience, but I compared his products, and he is highly overpriced. The same items he sells, can be purchased on Amazon or at Walmart for much cheaper. This owner is taking advantage of the customers in every way. The chair they have you sit in while you get your hair washed massages you. Talk about total relaxation!!! I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep. She even included a little head massage to go along with it - it was awesome. She took her time with my hair and got rid of all these horrible ends and my hair came out looking so shiny and felt so much better. And to top it off she did all this in a hour!
