I have to disagree with the comment by munksmum. There is enough car parking for everyone providing…read moreeveryone parks appropriately, it even states this on their website. There is also another car park opposite which has ample parking should it be needed. The rates are reasonable. YOU WOULD BE HARD PUSHED TO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH A BETTER RATE CONSIDERING THE TOWN IS AN ACTUAL HOLIDAY RESORT!!! We also had a balcony room and although it was overlooking the car park area there were also views over the countryside. As for the breakfast, we couldn't complain, we were up early everyday of our stay to make the most of the surf so never missed it! The hotel also has a 4 star rating so they must be doing somehting right! Anyway, we've booked again for next year and will probally turn up for NYE also

This is a quaint hotel right in the centre of Perranporth. The price per room isn't at all cheap…read moreand this does not reflect the fact that the whole hotel is very dated. There are several staircases and no lift so be prepared. I can only comment on the room I stayed in, and though it was clean it was vey small, especially as they knew we need space to fit a travel cot. The room did have a balcony which was good but our view was just of the car park. I believe there are rooms with a sea view though. The staff were very friendly and helpful so absolutely no complaints there. Breakfast was good, however the time slot in which it was served was very short which was a little inconvenient. The hotel has a restaurant should you want to eat in, though we didn't try it. There is also a pub/bar at the front which was o.k. There is a car park and their website says it has enough room for all guests not true. There was a cycling event on while we were there and the hotel was fully booked and there certainly wasn't enough room (even if you all park blocking each other in which is what happened every night).

We were staying in town for four nights. Tried to get dinner at another place, was fully booked…read more After a quick walk we ended up here. And were pleasantly surprised. Location couldn't be better. Right at the wonderful beach. Having dinner, some beers and watching the sun going down. Fantastic. There are a good number of tables outside. Depending on the day it can get windy though. Plenty of tables inside as well, some with great views as well. You order at the bar and the food and drinks will be brought to your table. Staff was very friendly, food arrived pretty quick and prices are fair. There are no reservations and the place is well visited. Even so, it wasn't a problem getting a table even on a weekend. Just a really short wait. We were very happy on our first night, so came back two more times. Had twice the Burger. Nice chips, good meat quality, nice flavour from the grill. Had chicken tacos and fish tacos. Especially the chicken tacos were very nice. Fresh and filled with some nice crispy veggies. Also had a ciabatta chicken sandwich - ok, but not great. And a peperoni (salami) pizza, which was very good. Sometimes wine, sometimes beer, sometimes some cider with the meals. All in all it's easy beach-bar food. But it's fresh, it's well cooked and enjoyable. Together with the fantastic location I'd say it's the best place to grab dinner in town.

It's a small restaurant right in Padstow that does small plates that focus on seafood. To start, their cocktails were great! I wish I could remember the one I got but I added a photo of it. I think it had passion fruit in it. It was so good! My friend's favorite dish was the scallops and mine were the prawns. :) They were giant and so tasty! The oysters were good too and I definitely would order more next time. Being from a landlocked area, it was so cool to hear how fresh this seafood is! Definitely recommend stopping in if you get the chance.

This is one of the best dining experiences I've ever had…read more Prawn on the Farm is a delightful, casual-chic tent restaurant set on a farm lawn with a stellar vista over the Padstow area of Cornwall, out toward the coast where their fat, creamy oysters come from. It may sound strange to those with preconceived notions, but the place has the exact vibe of a well-done Burning Man camp, including the sense of being comfortably ensconced in the environment. The constant presence of the benign outdoors--beside the operation's hooped greenhouses--is absolutely perfect for a restaurant that prides itself on fresh, hyper-local produce, fish, and beverages. And what food! The menu is small plates...except for some larger whole-fish options. The strategy is to order 2-3 per person and share. This ensures that you are getting a cascade of delightful flavor combinations that remain surprisingly subtle despite deep character and a broad flavor palate that ranges from the mild creaminess of cannelloni beans and bacon sparkles under a small slab of baked hake, to a scallop grilled in a soup of Thai green curry. Flavors combine to gently surprise: tree ear mushrooms and fresh dill, candy-sweet cherry tomatoes and tarragon, kale with truffle oil. The combinations are so insightful and unexpected that it's often tricky to identify them, even though the dishes remain clean, simple, and pure. The extreme freshness and site-specificity of the ingredients means that quantities are limited and the dishes on offer are constantly cycling. If you see something that looks good, order quick before it changes to something new! The service is excellent, with a young, skilled and friendly staff both in the front of the house and in the open kitchen; a snafu with our order was quickly and easily resolved. Unsurprisingly, the bar offers local alcohol, including Padstow Brewery's excellent modern and traditional beers/ales, and Tarquin's interesting gins. The POTL team also has a taqueria in Padstow, and apparently the temporary tent will be replaced with a permanent structure next year. I hope they find a way to retain the current feeling of the place, because it's just perfect (even though the season is quite short). Be sure to reserve WELL in advance. Though you have no sense of packed busyness while there, this place books out during the summer season, and it would be a pity to miss out on food that tidily upends Britain traditional reputation for bad cooking.
