I've had my children attending Kindercare for the past 2 plus years now. I had one of my children start in the infant room and work her way up. All of my children have been nothing but loved and taken care of every minute of every single day. This place is family. It's home outside of home. I see these wonderful ladies at the front every single morning and evening ready to help in anyway they can! Or just smile at you while you come through the door. My husband and I were brand new to the area and I can truthfully say, we found family within this Kindercare. Salmon creek Kindercare is by far the BEST daycare my children could receive. Not only have my children learned so much from these wonderful teachers but they also are so structured which is by far the best. My daughter has been attending this KinderCare for a few years now and we could not be happier with the staff and facility! They handled COVID extremely well, balancing keeping kids in school along while still being serious about keeping everyone safe! They communicate very well, Kayte the director is on it and is always available for questions or feedback. I recently asked for some support at home in helping my preschooler work on letters and the teacher put together a huge packet of games, stickers and lessons for me to have fun with my child at home reinforcing the classroom learnings. I have had my children in the past in a Montessori school so I was skeptical at first with a larger, generic daycare type of facility but what I've found is an organized and caring learning environment! read more

I got the pleasure to receive training at the Salmon Creek Kindercare and let me say it was wonderfully done. Big thank you to the infant teacher Deb. She taught me so much and is such a wonderful teacher. I can't recommend enough that the infant classrooms at this location are beautifully ran. My 2 children have attended multiple daycare centers in Clark County over the last 7 years - I can 100% - without a doubt - say that the Salmon Creek KinderCare is the BEST daycare center I've ever enrolled my children in. Education is a top priority here and it shows! My daughter was 4 when she enrolled in this center, and is more than on track for starting Kindergarten in the 2022 year! I'm constantly impressed by her knowledge and vocabulary! The teachers provide updates and pictures via the app all throughout the day and it's one of those things as a parent that you really look forward to! The staff and Director are friendly and helpful, and have handled the ongoing pandemic exceptionally well! Great communication as well. 11/10 would recommend enrolling your kids here if you have daycare needs! We were on a waitlist, and it was well worth the wait for the peace of mind you get knowing your children are thriving and well-cared for when you can't be around. read more

Horrible, horrible communication. Working as a director of a big company I understand more than anyone the importance of responding to potential clients. It's like pulling teeth to get a response here. I emailed Kayte and didn't hear back for 5 days. It was a pretty generic email back, no response to any of my questions. Then when we moved to the area a month-ish later I reached out again, and again I got a generic email back where she clearly didn't read my email. I emailed back asking for the response to my questions and this time she half answered. So I emailed again, and still no response days later. What a shame. If they can't handle the most basic email communication how can they handle caring for small children and babies? I sincerely hope the rest of the staff is much better trained and communication oriented than my experience has been. read more

I have had my daughter at Salmon Creek Kindercare since she was 5 months old. We were originally going to leave after a couple of months once our spot opened up at The Goddard School (which is a great school and childcare facility), but we decided to stay at Kindercare. Our daughter was doing so well and absolutely loved it there. The staff are all very friendly and truly care for the kids like they're their own. They follow your special requests, communicate well, and follow all safety procedures. The meals and snacks are appropriately portioned, healthy, well balanced foods. The teachers do art projects and fun activities that focus on that month's curriculum for all age groups. I receive detailed emails telling me the learning focus and what the kids will be exploring. I also love the new app. The pictures and videos I get of my daughter from her teachers put a smile on my face every day while I'm at work. What a breath of fresh air! I called this center, which happens to be minutes from the freeway, and minutes from my house, and spent a good 15 minutes on the phone with the director getting information. I eventually was able to come in for a tour. The lobby was organized, clean and quiet. I liked that the lobby was accessible, but the rooms were all keypad locked. The director stopped everything she was doing, and took me on a tour of the two infant rooms. She stayed with me, introduced the staff in each room and showed me all the things/forms/ and answered all my questions. She was quite informative and personable. They have a great system for communication with parents. Each of the rooms had infants who were doing various things (Sleeping/eating/playing/just hanging out) which made me feel like my child's needs could be addressed, not matter what they were. Each baby was content, and seemed like they were comfortable. The cribs were clean, the room was organized (but lived in). I was happy that they had organic based baby food, and were open to whatever schedule worked for my son. They also have great security policies in place. I'm so relieved to have a place that I can take my son for child care, if needed! Thank you! read more

Our little girl is about 22 months and we are very pleased with this center. It's more expensive than the other place we had her at for a short time, but I love the outdoor area and center altogether. It's clean and structured. I also like that they feed the kiddos all their snacks and meals. You get what you pay for! read more

I've posted reviews on Google and on Care.com, and here is another. I want to shout this from the rooftops: Do not bring your children here. Don't make the same mistake my husband and I did. First off, check the Washington State Department of Early Learning Childcare Check webpage (https://del.wa.gov/parents-family/licensed-child-care/child-care-check) for information on any past inspections performed on any prospective daycare you are considering for your child. Before even considering Salmon Creek Kindercare, please look at their past inspections. Here is a link to the report from a Child Protective Services inspection regarding an incident involving my 3 month old son in April 2015: https://apps.del.wa.gov/Check/FLCA.aspx?id=241917&ccid=1291693 He was at Salmon Creek Kindercare for 3 weeks when one of the teachers became frustrated with him for "being fussy" (he was 3 months old at the time). The teacher picked him up in a "rough/quick manner" and flipped him over and dropped him to the floor on his belly from nearly a foot off the ground. According to CPS's findings, "The director [Kayte Lucas] had knowledge of the mental health concerns of [the teacher I described above who dropped my son] and allowed the staff to continue to work in an infant classroom unsupervised. The licensor and center staff observed questionable behaviors of the person and reported them to the director who failed to take appropriate action. Previously the person was given written warnings more than once for her verbal and physical actions toward children." When we confronted Kayte Lucas after we learned of the incident TWO DAYS LATER she kept repeating the phrase "this doesn't happen here", I guess meaning that child abuse doesn't happen here? I resented that then and I resent it now because yes, it does happen there. It happened to our infant son (and others too, apparently) under her watch. I implore you to look for another daycare. Do not bring your children here. read more

Honestly, I do not even know where to begin! The teachers and management team treat your child like family! Each day we arrive we are greeted and the building smells fresh and clean. They have taken all the safety measures for COVID and ensured that we are aware of any illness' going on in the building. It really puts my mind at ease being a working mom that my child goes to a safe, clean, and engaging school! My daughter has been attending Salmon Creek KinderCare since she was 12 weeks old- I can not imagine a life without them! They have TOP NOTCH education and strive to only be the VERY best! I receive multiple photos each day of my daughter engaging in activities, curriculum, social activities, and cute selfies! :) THANK YOU for all you do but especially for loving our family like your own!
