So when summer was here and my feet weren't ready, I was able to waltz in here on a whim and get a beautiful pedicure. There's your typical wall of polishes to choose from, but some brands I don't recognize and wasn't sure of the quality. They did have plenty of China Glaze and OPI and I was able to find a color I liked. You are always welcome to bring your own polish as well. There are 12 each of pedicure and manicure stations. The pedicure chair was adjustable and comfy. I didn't try the massage controls. There was a television with the news on. The decor is neutral and serene. When I arrived, I was able to be taken directly back after signing in. By the time I left, there were people waiting, it was hopping! There were plenty of staff on, about 10 technicians I believe. I don't think anyone waited longer than a half hour. They appeared to be sanitizing the equipment pretty well to my untrained eye. The technician I got seemed to be running the store. I asked for a spa pedicure over the basic. It was aggressive and fast. It took about 30 minutes in all. Other patrons were being worked on longer. I don't think my technician cheated me, she was just very efficient. If you don't mind a quick aggressive pedicure, this is the place for you. It is not a relaxing full service spa type experience but it's super convenient and I was thrilled with the quality of the results. I paid $32+ tip. Like I said, my feet had been neglected all winter and now they're super soft and pretty!

I was told by the front receptionist she would be back in a minute to fix it, but a half hour later I was still sitting with my feet in cold water and no fix. When the nail tech finally came over, she could not fix the problem, but instead of moving me to one of the other 4 chairs with a bag in the bowl, her solution was to just take the bag out , empty the bowl and refill the water without any sanitizer in it. Very unhygienic. She did a horrible job on my feet, left polish on my 2 big toes and hurried me off the chair so she could run and take another customer. I sat in the back of the place, waiting for my fills to be done, and more than 45 minutes later, after watching 3 walk ins get taken, I finally had someone take me. She did an OK job, but the woman up front who seems to be in charge realized what poor service I got and apologized for it. I was in that place for 3 hours for a fill and pedi! I had to go back today because they neglected to charge me for the horrible pedi. When I pointed out that what they did with my pedi was a violation of health codes, this same in charge woman told me it didn't matter because they already had a health inspection recently and they passed with flying colors!! I told her that I bet the Health Dept would like to know that as soon as they passed inspection they stopped worrying about following code. She said this in front of about 7 customers!! I have been coming to this place for easily 5 years so I'm not unfamiliar to them, but I have noticed a serious drop in both customer service and quality of work for about a year. The woman who acts like she is in charge regularly starts a customer, then when someone she'd rather work on comes in, she callously passes who she is working on to someone else so she can be the top dog. I do NOT recommend this place. Find any other place, even get your best friend to do your nails. Nail Lacquer in Mentor is TERRIBLE!

I went with my girlfriend first thing on a Saturday morning. It's a busy location because they're good! They don't take reservations, so go early! I opted for the most expensive pedicure package with all of the bells and whistles. My pedicure package included hot stones, hot towel wraps, about 4 different massages, lotions, etc. It was super relaxing and the technicians were friendly. Everything was clean and sterile. They used all new tools and foot tub liners for the pedicures. I opted for a gel pedicure with a cool purple and black metallic streak that is obtained from using a magnetic wand. (Chrome nails?) It's truly stunning! I felt funny about posting pictures of my feet for this review, but you get the idea! There's something for every budget at this salon. I once was seated next to a client with black hair (box dye), I head the stylist explain the risks of going from an unknown dark dye to a platinum color. Those included unpredictable color variations and that it would take at least three visits to minimize any breakage. Looking at the before and after pics was amazing!
