History

Established in 2012.

Salon Taboo started as a dream I had when I started beauty school at 15. I grew up in the salon world and I wanted to open a business that combined the warm, welcoming feeling of a small town beauty shop with the skill and expertise of a high end salon. Salon Taboo is centrally located between Murrysville and Greensburg on Route 22. Salon Taboo is an environmentally friendly salon and none of the products we use are tested on animals. Salon Taboo is also very involved in the community through charity events, donations and school sponsorships. Feel free to come in, meet us and take a look around. Our refreshment bar is always stocked with the best coffees and teas so come in and enjoy a cup, even if you are not receiving a service. We would love to get to know you soon!

Meet the Business Owner: Jesika L.

I have been a licensed stylist since 2004. I grew up in the beauty industry and have been in love with it since I was a young child. I started beauty school at the age of 15 and obtained my license a few weeks before I graduated high school. I have always known that I would own a hair salon so I set up m career to prepare me for the job of being a business owner. I worked at several different types of salons and pursued management training and positions at all my jobs. I also attended beauty school for my teacher's license. I believe that clients come to a salon not only for the service they receive but also the experience they have while they are there.
