My appt was at 5 and I got started with at 5:15. She apologized for the delay and expressed gratitude for patience. She started me with my pedicure, and handed me the colors to select from. I loved my pedicure (and this was my first ever pedi!) : foot bath was lined and clean, water temp was nice and Anna made sure I was comfortable. She took her time with my cuticles, talked to me to get to know me, and told me about other beauty services at the salon. She also put on the massage chair for me and clarified some details about my Groupon (see below later in the review). She took her time with painting my nails, which I got simple white gel on my toes. She massaged my legs and gave me a hot towel. Afterwards she moved me to the other table to do my manicure, which I selected a baby pink gel color and she took her time on this as well. I let her select the shape to do, so she filed me down to a square almond. I appreciated that she took her time and didn't rush bc all my nails are clean and even. :) I had a Groupon, and she stated they use the Groupon to get exposure and obtain customers, and honor the Groupon price in store. They recommend customers not purchase the Groupon and just tell them they saw it online so they can honor the price and get 100% of the cost, otherwise Groupon takes over half of the money from the Groupon and also discounts the service further than the price the business set. In the Fresha app, I noticed their price for a regular mani is $30 and pedi is $40. For gel it's $50 and $55 respectively. The Groupon was for a regular mani and pedi priced at $105 and discounted to $78. So I paid $78 for a "discounted" mani pedi when their regular price in the app and website is $70, not 105. Even tho I technically paid $8 extra, she applied $15 for the mani and $15 for the pedi since I wanted gel. Overall, I would return bc I love how my nails came out and I had a relaxing experience, without feeling rushed. The service from the staff was great quality! In the future I wouldn't purchase the Groupon and would rather just call or book directly to avoid up charges and confusion on the pricing.

I am someone who doesn't go to a salon often, so this was really special to me and I wanted my hair to look nice. Shana seems very well experienced, but when I told her how I would like my hair done she seemed frustrated (it was her first time working on my hair, I was not trying to offend her in any way, I just know my hair and how it works). I told her that my hair gets very frizzy and curls form after a day if I only blow dry, so I usually have to put a flat iron to my hair in order for it to stay put. Most of my appointment was quiet, she barely talked to me and she seemed very annoyed. When I told her about how my hair curls and gets frizzy, she snapped at me and said "i know how to do hair, i've been doing it for X amount of years". I stayed silent for the rest of my visit, paid, and left. The next day my curls returned (as I expected) and I felt like I paid that money for nothing. I would of loved the experience if she had listened to me, I was not trying to tell her how to do her job, but I knew it was her first time working on my hair and thought she would appreciate me letting her know how my hair works. The salon is beautiful and offers many services, but the attitudes there need to be a little better. I'm a hijabi and I liked this salon since it is hijab-friendly (one of the very few in my area), but I feel because of this experience it'll be so awkward if I go back to her.

My appointment was with the owner Effie who is very fashionable and has beautiful hair herself. She told me it would take multiple visits before I could achieve the blonde that I wanted which was understandable but I left the salon just hating my hair. It came out with very brassy, stripey, highlighted hair with chunks of hair that looked over processed. Also, I paid $300 for this to be done.
