Great pizza place just outside of Parksville. They do a Neapolitan style pizza when thin base without it being soggy. Lots of customers while we were there on a weekday afternoon. They do half baked pizzas to go as well so you can finish up when you get home. We got 2 large pizzas. Can't remember the cost but total came to over $50. Their "regular" pizzas are pricey for what they are. Pepperoni and cheese are priced the same or v similar to something more exotic w truffle oil. There are a few tables inside, pretty no frills and 2 tables outside. I'd go back again for some quality pizza when you are in or around Parksville. read more

4.5 rounded up Full disclosure, I had very low expectations. I was filling up with gas when this place caught my eye. The first thing I thought was "gas station pizza". Similar to gas station sushi. Something anyone with a brain interacting with taste buds wouldn't do. I also didn't have internet. The connection was spotty so I couldn't check the reviews. Throwing caution into the wind, I went for it. What a surprise! The pizza was incredible. Apparently their pizzas sometime sell out according to some local reviews. I can certainly see why! So good, I got one to go. A hole in the wall location in the middle of nowhere along the Island Highway, Small spot seating maybe 10 inside along with a picnic table outside for some additional seating. Friendly service. I would consider myself a pizza, aficionado, or perhaps a pizza perfectionado. Easily the best pizza in the Oceanside area. I've tried all of them. I don't try any of them other than Salt now outstanding ingredients great value for money I can eat a large lol just ask for the Bosco like Costco, Italian sausage, awesome cheese, and a pizza I've ordered, probably 50 times. Service could be better (ran out of water, no one explained the ordering process, confusing if we were to pay before or after). Pizzas were awesome - group had the funghi, house special, margarita, and diavolo. Great crusts, nice topping ratios, great flavours, and local ingredients. The funghi and house special were my favorites. They have a nice selection of half pints of Salt Spring gelato and sorbets to go ($6 each). Definitely worth getting a couple - great flavours! If you like thinner sourdough crust with very high-quality ingredients and cheese that melts in your mouth ( like who am I kidding). You must get your pizza here! The toppings are very unique and may not fit a traditional fast food pizza style like you know the regular's. It's worth the money to have this great and unique pizza. I have spent many months all over Italy and this is a Delicious thin authentic Italian crust and great sauce. I just thought for the hefty prices, there should have been more toppings on the vegetarian and the west coast. Also in Italy the arugula is tossed with olive oil and salt and put on top of the pizza after baking which is amazing...not before baking which dries it all out and makes it have no flavour. I haven't tried many of the other pizza places around Parksville but after my first pizza from Salt in nearby French Creek I didn't look any further. It's that good. Many people must agree its pizza is great because last week Salt sold out by early evening! Our hearts were broken but fortunately one of the friendly staff took our order for the next day. Artisan style pizza at a very reasonable price. Homemade, fresh, crisp crust. Great sauce bases, both tomato and white sauce. Very fresh and high quality ingredients.
