Fine at a Busy Time of Year…read more I wanted to go to St Augustine's "Nights of Light" celebrations and activities. Due to health issues, I didn't get to book as far in advance as I would have liked. When I did book, there weren't a lot of options in the B&B category. At Journey's End was on my list of places I would try and they did have a room for my 3 nights. I chose the Howard Carter since it is in the original house and has a large balcony to sit on. At Journey's End isn't a B&B in that they don't serve breakfast. B&Bs will also often have a little happy hour. And the hosts live in the home as well. So there are opportunities to meet other travelers and get info from the host. Here a manager comes in for a short period mid-day to clean rooms. I don't really care for AirBnBs for the same reasons--no one around and no other travelers. Anyway, our room was a bit snug, but did have a large bathroom and a large deck. I tried to sit in the common rooms downstairs to do some desk work but it was so warm I had to retreat upstairs where it was cooler. All in all, the place is nice, but doesn't really meet what I want in accommodation.

Our friends and family had plenty of room to socialize, play games, eat, drink, sleep, it is a perfect place for a gathering from small to large..the beach is so beautiful and the shores are super wide for those daily walks... What makes this place unique is the beautiful tropical gardens. The down side is that it does not have a heated pool. All through the winter months ,the pool is unusable except for the most hardy. Also, if you have any trouble with mobility you will have great difficulty getting to the beach because there is a huge sand dune that you must climb over to get to the beach. There are two tennis courts and a hot tub. Many other resorts have more amenities. We give SeaWinds 5 stars for its excellent location, close to restaurants and shopping, beautiful gardens, ponds and wildlife, convenience of condos with garages and driveways. The pros far outweigh the cons.

It was very easy for us to get our pass as the front is manned by security... I want to say 24/7. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Our room was very clean upon arrival. Two bed, two bath with a kitchen and large sitting area. Any time we came in contact with staff they were always very friendly. The pool area gets cleaned every morning and is a pretty decent size. Granted, we came on memorial weekend, but their was still enough space for my family to sit out by the pool. A quick walk down the little boardwalk they have gave you access to the beach, which if you've never been to St. Agustine, is a beautiful beach. I hope that we can continue the tradition of coming this this wonderful beach resort.

I can not get over what Kurt does in the course of checking my home - it's a lot of service for the money. If you are looking for someone to check on your house while you are gone... this is the company to call. Update - my wife was really worried about Hurricane Dorian & Kurt went over to our home at 8 p.m. at night to move the grill, furniture etc. into our garage! Who does that... he should wear a cape! He really saved us!
