So now on Thursday it is pack (full) The place is very small so it definitely gets crowded. That is the only downside that I can find about this store. This is A real thrift store, not like value village... You won't be finding a pair of leggings for 10 bucks... pants, jeans are three dollars. This of course brings a lot of people. Baskets are limited, and carts are also limited. The staff are all volunteers, always happy to help. I love to get my books here! 50cent I believe the most expensive one or 2$. Instead, this place was bright and clean. I love how they've laid out the clothes - the jeans in particular: they are hung so that the waste band sticks out, and you can see the size and the branding, and it looks really cool! This is a big store! I didn't have time to go through it as much as I would have liked, but of course like other recycling stores, they've got a bit of everything, from housewears new and old, clothing galore, books, games, and electronics. I'll have to go back again when I do have more time.

They had some new items like Funko Pops and Squishmallows, while I was there, but I guess these depend on donations, perhaps these were from a business (?) They also had some used video games and controllers. They also have (new) Big Brothers and Big Sisters merchandise. Staff are friendly. I believe that many of them are volunteers. I scored really beautiful designer and stylish vintage frocks here, all in amazing condition, for a steal of a deal - only $6-$8 for dresses, and even less for that gorgeous pussywillow-grey silk blouse with a scooped neck and 3/4 length sleeves! Honestly, I have a hard time writing reviews for these places because I feel like I want to hoard all of the treasures to be found there for myself! But, I also have to give kudos to this place - everything is affordable, well-organized and supporting the planet in its efforts to recycle and offset the fast fashion fiasco that is polluting our beloved earth. My choice to shop places like this is political, not just economical. I just want to contribute less to that growing mountain of cheap clothing that clogs the landfills. I was first drawn to this store by its amazing window display - it was a war-time 1940s theme and I was sucked in right away. I was actually hoping to find a shower curtain to update mine but nothing struck my fancy. Since I was in the mood for looking at household items, I browsed the kitchenware section and then noticed the clothing rack at the front of the store. If you are doing Zoom meetings or engaging with family members on Skype or other apps, you know that you are always in need of colourful tops--blouses, T-shirts, sweaters, and of course, scarves. Light, frothy tops layered over a camisole are perfect for summer Zooms and as when the temps cool in the evening, a long-sleeve, form-fitting spandex garment can be worn underneath. O la la, c'est très chic!. Along with several blouses, I noticed a boho bag that looked as if it might be from the sixties. Then, as I was rushing out the door to dash between the raindrops, my eye caught a multi-strand, copper necklace. The jewellery section is sort of hidden along a wall near the coffee cup section and might be a bit tangled from my last visit but well-worth a looksee.

It was the same concept whereby all monies benefit the shelter pets. The staff is always friendly and helpful considering the effort taken to keep things organized.
