It's not grungy and claustrophobic like the Merivale Road location. In my opinion, the stuff is rather junky and the clothing is quite frumpy, in general. However, like all thrift stores I'm sure you can find some gems with some patience and luck. They have some new items too. I saw lots of new Christmas ornaments. However, they were ornaments like a little boy holding a sign that said "my favourite middle child" or equally specific types of ornaments that would not apply to most people's lives. They had like 10 of the aforementioned ornament. They have free coffee at the front of the store. Don't be deterred by the religious values of the store if you are non-religious. No one preached to me or tried to convert me. This store is in the same strip mall as Dollarama, Goodlife Fitness and Box Low Food Prices. Lots of free parking.

It's a true non-for-profit, unlike the Walmart owned Value Village, and is mostly volunteer run. The store is really clean and doesn't have a used store smell. Being such a large store, it's no surprise they have a large variety. I find their price point is middle of the pack, cheaper than Value Village but a bit more expensive than Salvation Army, but they tend to have better quality things which is worth the price point. It's my go-to thrift store in Orleans.

Their selection of gifts is beautiful, and you're sure to find something special for yourself, or a special someone. Their gifts are Canadian-made, and they have great options for new babies, anniversaries, weddings, showers, and more. They also have a sweet children's section with beautiful toys and stuffed animals. This is totally the kind of place I would pick up a birthday present for the little ones in my life. I ventured into this shop not really knowing what I would find inside but let me tell you it is a dream to have a store like this in Orleans. I have visited the store a few times now and love that they seem to be adding more and more locally made products every day. You can find a lot of great gift ideas and unique items in this little shop. I highly recommend picking up some Split Tree Cocktail mix - whether you drink it with alcohol or just add it to your club soda it makes for a very refreshing beverage. I love that I can support a local store and a local maker at the same time. I try not to spend too long browsing because it is the type of store I could see myself spending lots of money in. Time for a review update as my original review was in 2013 and many of the stores I mentioned are…read moreno longer there, and some don't even exist anymore :( Place d'Orleans is an enclosed shopping mall in the suburb of Orleans, about 20km east of Ottawa. It's not glamourous and doesn't have high-end stores, but is a decent mall. It has a drugstore (Rexall), a dollar store (Dollarama), and the usual retail stores and services you'd expect to find at a typical mall (clothes, shoes, cell phone providers, tailoring services, opticals, banks, etc.). They have a sizeable food court with mostly big chain vendors (think Thai Express, Tim Hortons, A&W, New York Fries, etc.) and a few independent businesses (Umi Eatery, Osteria Italia, and Shawarma Kitchen). In recent years, the mall did struggle but they are really making efforts to revitalize the mall and bring in more shoppers. In the summer of 2025 they had this great promotion where if you spent $25 at the food court and you took your receipt to customer service, you got a $10 mall gift card (there were a bunch of conditions, but I was still able to take advantage of the promotion several times). The mall also partners with different businesses to host pop-up markets. For the Black Friday weekend in 2025 the mall partnered with The Mom Market Collective and they had this fun pop-up market with foods and crafts where I got Nigerian food (from Mirabel's Yummies - it was my first time trying Moi Moi, a bean pudding with beef and I loved it. Their meat pie was great too. It was ground beef and had a subtle curry flavour) and fancy Turkish delight (from Z Baran Gourmet Collection, which was so delicious, not to mention very visually appealing). When I first moved to Ottawa I rarely went to this mall (as I considered it "out in the boonies" lol), but since my parents moved to Orleans, I'm out in this part of town more often and find myself at this mall more often. It's grown on me (or I'm more generous in my ratings in my old age, haha) so updating from 3 stars to 4 stars, for what it is, a functional suburban mall ;) There's lots of free parking. A small town thrift shop run by a woman who shares the building for both her home and business. She…read morewas very sweet and kind, clearly likes what she does. The prices were marginal to the point where you wonder how she pays her expenses. She cleans everything herself and organizes according to type and style. Has a huge selection of children's toys which I found endearing. Stopped through during Rockfest and picked up a hat and pair of shorts for myself, and a male friend found himself a $3 shirt in perfect condition that otherwise would have cost him at least $40 retail, so I was happy to convert him to be comfortable in the thrift stores he so often mocks.

Upon walking in, it's just a lot. Where do I go? What do I look at first? There are a lot of products thrown at you at once. I guess you can say, they really do take advantage of every square meter in the store. The store is hard to navigate, and trying to get down the aisle are tight. They do have some cool products, but the prices are not as competitive as they used to be. A regular priced product I was looking at last month is now $10 more now. I do appreciate that they sell items dedicated to smaller spaces, I just don't think the quality is there for a lot of their items after getting a closer look at them in store.

I didn't have a very good experience today at jysk. I came in to buy a big mirror and I couldn't…read morefind anyone to help me. Lots of the mirror were in the boxes and I couldn't see what they look like. There was only two cashier in the mirror stand is right there. I tried on the few occasions to get someone to help me but since there was only what seem to be 3 staff I could only wait. The line at the cash was getting longer and longer and I didn't feel like even after 45 minutes I would be able to get any help. I am usually very patient but I felt like I was in the way of people who just wanted to come out. So after that 45 minutes I simply walked out with no mirror. I don't know if the price will change but there will be a better day. Jysk is a great store to get furniture at a good price. Today was probably just one of those days.

I avoid store right now, the line up was about 15-20 min pretty decent I believe. It was really long but moving fast. I usually avoid the self check out, I believe they take away jobs but, the line for the cash was very long and I had 4 items. Guess am not as Patient as I thought. I don't think its the time yo buy watermelon they had a white bottom, broken too fast. You wanna go for yellow bottom little tip here. But I still got one for my feta and watermelon salade, perfect for the summer time. The staff are keeping safe distance and they had clean cart ready for shopping. Mine was full of sand, for some reason. They had everything I wanted and more.

My Glasses broke on a Friday night, I went into Vezina in Orleans on Saturday hoping they could…read morehelp me out. To be honest I was fully expecting to be told to come back on Monday. When I got there I was greeted by Olivier and he took a look at the glasses and said something like 'that should be no problem'.... I was shocked, were my glasses actually going to get fixed on a Saturday? I waited patiently as Olivier ran around the store looking for something. Then he found what he was looking for, a bag of hinges. And just like that (having been in the store for less than 10 minutes) my glasses were fixed and I was thanking Olivier for his help. my glasses were covered under warranty so I wasn't charged a penny AND I grabbed a cleaning solution on the way out. It was an amazing visit and this is the reason why we keep going back. amazing customer service from a great staff! Thanks a lot!!

The gentleman who does orthotics and repair shoes, he is so rude, insulting, there is no word to describe that man. I went there to buy sandals and wanted to make sure that my new orthotics that I would get the next day and sized to the sandals by Dr. Greenberg Podiatrist who is the No. 1 doctor in Ottawa. This man at Cordonnerie Regional start putting down Dr. Greenberg Podiatrist. Even after telling him that Dr. Greenberg basically save my feet after starting to make my orthotics two years ago. He said its because you did not come here for your orthotics, looking at my old orthotics he said you see this is not the way of doing orthotics, he was so frustrated because I kept telling him how Dr. Greenberg did an amazing job on my orthotics. I was going to buy those sandals but then he start telling me that I could not even get a credit note if the orthotics wouldn't fit in the sandals. When you have problems with your feet, you need to turn to an experienced doctor of podiatric medicine who listens and responds ... an experienced podiatrist who knows the field and can effectively diagnose and treat your needs ... a friendly practitioner who counsels you on the best ways to maintain and improve your health. Certainly not Cordonnerie Regional! If there was less than 1 start that's what he would get.
