Marlene was a delight, really funny and fun to be around, and she taught us a lot of fun, easy things to make! We chose her sushi menu, and that included veggie spring rolls with a dipping sauce, edamame, miso soup (so yummy! I want to make more RIGHT NOW!), a ton of different rolls and nigiri (with albacore, salmon and ahi, I believe), diablo sauce (the guys had fun trying to out spice each other), and a really, really delicious sake-based sangria. Everything we made was really yummy, all the ingredients were fresh, and Marlene made every really easy and fun. Also, it was very unexpected, but Marlene even washed the serving plates and glasses we had used during the class! I totally did not expect that, but was very appreciative that she went that extra mile to try to make everything (even the clean up) easier for us. It's that kind of service and attention to detail that makes me want to be a repeat customer. If the five of us had gone out for sushi and drinks, I guarantee that we would have spent a heck of a lot more, and not had as much fun or learned anything. Maiden Kitchen cooking parties are SO much fun, and I can't wait until I have an excuse to have Marlene back again and to try a different menu (she has so many awesome menus to try!). Thanks again SO much for a fantastic experience! I hope my friend can use your company for her bridal shower :)

I was pleasantly surprised with what Maiden Kitchen had to offer! First, Maiden Kitchen is so affordable. We were able to have an alcoholic beverage (phenomenal Sangria), an app, entree, and dessert! Ordering all that at a restaurant is just not in my budget right now. Maiden Kitchen was such a fun alternative. The food was delicious! I am not one you will find in the kitchen but under the supervision of Marlene (our Maiden Kitchen chef), everything turned out amazing! We made hummus, pita bread, salad and salad dressing, rice, chicken, baklava. The best part was that we were each provided with the menu, ingredients, and recipe so that we could recreate the meal on our own! Marlene has such great energy that only added to the fun my group of friends was already having. She did not hesitate to jump in or answer a question anytime one of us shouted her name. It was really a pleasure working with her. Oh, and the best part....Maiden Kitchen brought everything we needed and used to my house! Marlene brought all the ingredients, cooking bowls, etc, and dishes! Clean up was a piece of cake!!!! I would highly recommend Maiden Kitchen to others. I am in a wedding this spring and I am trying to talk the girls into doing a Maiden Kitchen event for the bridal shower or as part of the bachelorette! FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!

I loved every single coursed out dish that came out and my mind was blown when I found out everything was vegan. Itzel made me a believer in vegan food and I would hands down refer her business for any future events and even hire myself. Big thank you for making sure to bring me every item as if I was a guest myself and describing each dish was such a classy touch. Such a professional from start to finish. Thank you!

I had packed many people into my home (probably more than I should have!) and space in the dining area was limited but Chef Izel and Chef Drew were very accommodating and presented the most incredible dishes in a very timely manner. I am still getting texts from guests talking about the food... many of whom are not vegan. Working with them was such a wonderful experience. I'm determined to throw a party every year just to have an excuse to have them cater again. Thank you both so much for such an unforgettable and special evening

From the "fresh from scratch" ingredients to the final garnishing touches in the end, each course comes out perfectly, creating a full sensorial experience with every meal. He has catered small private events for us over the years and each time always bringing something new and different to the table...literally. His fresh breads, delicious soups, varying gourmet salads...his seafood cioppino is incredible and his tri-tip melts in your mouth. Grilling is an art for him and his baked mac and cheese is the best we've ever had. His Salted Butterscotch Pudding is to die for. He is also passionate and highly experienced with fine wine, craft beer and high end spirits with mad mixology skills. A food and beverage pairing is also a fun and creative activity he can host in addition to cooking lessons and catering. Add to that his funny and gregarious personality with his professional and yet "No big deal, it'll be AWESOME" attitude, you will be in for a treat. Highly recommend Chef Marc Dix for your next culinary event or party. Even during these Covid times, he would be able to provide contactless and virtual experiences. He is BY FAR, one of the best in the business and we are fortunate to have him here locally in the South Bay! Bon Appetit!

Chef Dix not only prepared a fabulous menu for us to prepare, but he carefully showed us "tricks of the trade" on how to chop, dice, slice, and julienne with ease and like a pro. He taught us how to properly hold the cutting knife and how to let the knife do all the work. He taught us to use fresh herbs and spices to bring life to ordinary dishes. I love to cook and thought I knew a lot about cooking, but I walked away with new techniques and a few more recipes that tickle the taste buds. Thank you Marla for hosting and including me. Thank Chef Dix for amazing tips, yummy recipes and a fun-filled evening.

So I thought I should finally dip my toe into this world of posting yelp reviews with a person offering services that I strongly believe in... Dev, of OMChef, has touched my life over the past 6 years. I met her through a word of mouth referral as I needed some prepared food while I was nursing my first child and I was hoping to lose some baby weight in the process. She would bring the most beautiful, healthy organic food prepared and packaged with a conscious. She completely educated me on GMO's, food chemistry, environmental awareness of our products and how to best nourish our bodies with the foods we love and some we learn to love. I lost the weight, but not my friendship and knowledge. Our paths crossed again almost 4 yrs later (this past year) when I was diagnosed with Cancer. You would think after eating healthier and paying more attention I wouldn't get cancer at 42. Well I got a really rare sarcoma in my soft tissue of my leg.. This cancer has nothing to do with the food I put in my body. With that said, I knew I wanted to be as clean and green as possible and have the support of Dev to provide nourishing meals for myself and family as I went through Chemo / Radiation / Surgery and recovery. She talked with me before I started this process and informed about what to expect. This was so eye-opening because I sat with the staff nutritionist at the hospital who didn't explain half the things that Dev imparted to me. Dev took on the task to help me and family and I couldn't have been in better hands. She created menus to match my changing taste buds almost the night before a delivery. She created this wonderful little picnic baskets for my long chemo days at the hospital. She would also put together family meals for the days I felt better. Truly, I can't speak more highly of OmChef, Dev, and the support to my recovery.... Please please check out OMChef. She does a host of things: catering private parties, food delivery, cancer patient food support, culinary instruction (great present - gift certificates), shopping / food prep for families and busy professionals. Go to her website you will be thrilled you found her. omchef.com oh by the way, I'm cancer free!
