Finding a $1 rack of things that are wearable is fantastic. Ok, so not everything is wearable (unless you're having a Rubik's Cube party!), but it's still very cheap. Shopping at the MS shop is definitely a pot-luck experience. It's small so everything is shoved in, and whilst there is definitely a semblance of order, there is certainly no guarantee that there'll be anything useful in the pile. Keep checking, I say. Sooner or later it'll pay off. The Christmas decorations are often particularly nice. *pun unintended but kept in because it makes me feel clever.

This is a bit of a shame, because they supported other charities and it was nice to have the option of visiting the others. Maybe rent was an issue, who knows? In any case, this particular store is fairly good, it has plenty of stock, much of it outside the store. It often has "sales" too.

Most people think it's more of a woman's thing rummaging through clothes to find something that might be "vintage" but I find it great fun trying to find cool men's clothes. I've found some big brands recently and picked up some great bargains where I love getting comments about how expensive my clothes must have been...Op Shop mate!! St Vincent de Paul in Sumner Park offer a lot of second hand goods to fill a wardrobe as well as a home. Not only do they have a wide selection of womens, mens and childrens clothings, which are all in reasonable condition they also have homewares. The homewares here include an array of kitchen utensils, pots and pans, cupboards, tables and chairs, sofa's and even some beds and bedding. I have bought a few trinkets from here to decorate the house with. I love collecting old books and unique figurines. The staff who work unpaid for charity are clearly passionate about what they are doing. You can see in their kindness and service. I recommend coming every two weeks to check on anything new that's been donated. Also, feel free to get in contact with them to donate any pre-loved items.

The alterations have always been completed on the time indicated and the prices are very competitive. The work done is always of high quality. Though there are a number of alteration shops and franchises in the area, I believe this is the best.
