Take your money elsewhere!!! They do not uphold their one year warranty. Completely ghost me when reaching out before our warranty has ended. Called and messaged multiple times and have never got a call back. We have had several people slip and fall on our patio when it's wet. I even tried to ask if there's a product I can buy and do it myself to help make it less slippery and they can't even reply to tell me what I can use. For as money as we spent on this job I expect them to be more professional and practice honest business. The owner bullies and harasses you into changing your honest reviews. Curt White owner of Sam The Concrete Man installed our driveway. It was a colored driveway. The colors are all splotchy and uneven. It looks terrible. They didn't tell us the truth about how it would look. . Also the Salesmen sold us a so called special sealer . The sealer was suppose to protect from oil , well water , and tree sap he said everything . He lied it doesn't . Curt never calls back. I would under no circumstances. Recommend Sam, the concrete man for any concrete work. We spent a lot of money for this driveway and it looks horrible! read more

So we had Curt with Sam the Concrete Man, pour a 680sf driveway for us, 6" deep with reinforced rebar. That was July 2024. Today, I'm looking at my driveway, (which is still blueish color and not white) and it has a crack all the way across one half of the driveway. I contacted Curt and he said because I treated him and his crew so badly, that we wasn't going to do anything to help us. Then said it was out of warranty. Well, all the paperwork I have doesn't have any warranty info on it. I would not have paid almost $10K for a double wide driveway, 6" deep, reinforced with rebar if it was going to crack in half 15 months later. Please do not give this company your business. I worked with Curtis on this project and it has been a horror since the beginning. The second day I already had a crack. They filled in the crack and went about their day. Not even a year later I have huge cracks. Have been trying to get in contact with him to come meet with me and no response. I advised that I paid for 4 inches and I received 2.5. Without informing me he sent his workers to do this to my drive way and my driveway looks HORRIBLE! Please save your money and go somewhere else if you're in central Florida. Terrible communication from these guys. I had the estimator named Icaro at my house on the 25th. I made him aware the same day that we would accept his estimate, and would like to get the work done, including in the color that we wanted for the concrete. He made me aware that he would have someone named Curt send me an ACH to send a 50% deposit, or I could mail a check to an address for a P.O. Box in Lake Mary, and that he would also look into a work date. After not hearing anything back a few days later, on the 28th, I sent Icaro another text to make him aware that I still hadn't heard anything from Curt, and therefore hadn't been able to send any deposit money to an ACH. (I would never send a check to a P.O. Box.). He again said that he would get ahold of Curt. To this day, now the 1st, I still haven't heard or received anything from Curt. To me it's unbelievable. At this point I have to assume that my $1,500 job is too small for Sam the Concrete Man to make any effort to communicate, and set up the work. Today, I again reached out to Icaro just to make him aware that I was no longer interested in Sam the Concrete Man performing any work at my house. If they can't come though with any basic communication to their customer, with it being initiated by the customer, and still not be able to resolve any needs to get a job done, I sure won't be trusting them to perform any important concrete work at my house. Icaro made me aware that Curt is off for this weekend, and as I of course assumed, no one was working on a holiday weekend. Way too little, too late. Do yourself a favor, and don't just look at the pretty work you can see them do on the online videos, consider the frustration you will have just getting them to allow you to pay, and actually set up a work date. He did NOT HAVE THE COURTESY TO CALL BACK to CANCEL or RESCHEDULE our appointment. I took time away from work in between my shift to be here. Concrete work is good, but if they need to remove tree roots, they are ill-equipped and require supervision.

Hello STCM / What is your real name? The customer should always ask for a license and insurance bond from the contractor / business, and all subcontractors as well. In most cases a permit is required. I recommend all customers use the online payment portal with a credit card so you can dispute the payment if there is an issue. In regards to your licensed and insured crew you had on our property , you STCM or them, the subcontractors were NOT actually licensed or insured. I was told by the "crew" when I asked for that info to refer to our contractor STCM, but later found out you are not actually a contractor . Also you STCM or your "crew" did not file any permitting which led to your companies receiving citations from code enforcement. A permit was required. All info is in the public record. And as far as your claim of ...We uphold a high standard to our customers for being professional and respectful.... Why did you attempt to keep our 12k deposit and not return calls or text or reply about a refund??? and why did you threaten to sue us for the balance with a really intimidating letter from one of the local Larger law firms. Lets recall, your or your crew did not deliver the contracted materials ( sheets of flat wire , not rolled) or services (dirt compaction by a mechanical compactor), and left our property with a full dumpster that We had to pay to have removed, and a huge mess. And , you did not pour or deliver one drop of concrete to our property , and then you abandoned the job and would not respond or reply. We had to report you to our credit card company as fraud and the credit card company refunded us the entire amount. Is that the high standard you mention? read more
