I am a very complicated patient but he never loses his patience with me with I'm tired and feeling unhappy about my pain which he is doing his part but my body doesn't comply. I have also had some experience with Chelsea and she fits right in and seems to enjoy what she is doing and is good at it. The front desk is always kind and polite and there is at least one more woman that is the one that processes the medication requests. I have dealt with Christine since I've been going to Dr. Ho and she great. She has a big and important job getting our prescriptions done in a very timely manner and she is so considerate and understanding. I know she goes out of her way to do all she is capable to make sure you get your medication. I'm sure many have experienced having to deal with pharmacies that don't have any or not enough, very rare, but it happens. Christine doesn't want you to suffer so she does all she can within her power to help you. I hope they never leave.

So today was my third appointment. I was seeing them at the recommendation of my primary doctor for…read moreongoing right side back pain that didn't respond to meds or physical therapy. We decided to try radio frequency ablation where they burn the root of the nerve in order to make sure that we have the right spot and we're doing the right thing, we're supposed to do two diagnostic injections before the actual procedure. Today was supposed to be my first injection. The last two appointments, I showed up and I waited no more than 10 minutes. It was great. Today I showed up at the appointed time, and after 45 minutes I noticed nobody had been called to the procedure area. A couple of people had come out, but nobody had been called in. I went to the desk and asked the young woman there how much longer it was going to be. She stuck her head out into the waiting room, counted heads, and said that there were three people ahead of me, and that all the bays, (I think there were four), in the procedure area were full. This meant that, AFTER 45 MINUTES, there were still SEVEN people ahead of me. I provide full-time daycare for my grandson, which means I had to take him with me to this appointment. That means I had to have a friend come along and keep him entertained in the waiting room. After 45 minutes they're telling me it's going to be at least another hour and a half before I get called back for the procedure. I left. I will not ask somebody to sit in the waiting room with a four year old for 3 hours waiting on me. That's insane. I respect people's time. My appointment was for 11:00, not 1:15 or 1:30. If they don't value my time how are they going to treat me as a patient? Will I get quality Care? If they're running that far behind will they rush the procedure? I don't know. I do know that if you don't respect my time, I don't want you as my provider. I'll find another provider, or I'll deal with the pain.

They did not go over my insurance before scheduling my lumbar injections and although I checked this address on my insurance website, the surgical center within the office was out of network. I had no prior way to know how their billing worked and they failed miserably. I received no help from office staff to resolve this issue and I will never go back. The surgical center bills separately under 'Interventional Pain Management, LLC' and not 'Centers for Pain Control'. You must get a tax ID# and call your insurance provider to be sure they are in network because they may not warn you as other medical offices do before scheduling procedures. Lesson learned!
