She met us on a potentially rainy day at a beautiful park and managed to keep us, introverted as we are, from feeling awkward while posing for photos. She encouraged us to be ourselves while also offering us guidance, and she was able to capture our relationship beautifully. And she sent us over 100 photos. Her turn-around time for photos really impressed us, and she had beautifully edited all of them in a way that looked very natural and retained the natural beauty of the surroundings as well as keeping us looking like ourselves. We were delighted with all the photos and with her friendly but bold, easy-going personality which made it so easy to spend an afternoon in the park with her, despite having barely met. You know, the…read moreones everyone hands out to hide in your wallet only to be seen by an old friend who doesn't give a hoot what your "blank" looked like a year ago. Without torturing our friends and family we went in search of a photographer that would take "real life" photos. Then we found Tonya Todd Photography. Our kids took to her immediately, she is very easy going and friendly! She has a very unique style with her photography which is very laid back and not posed. Having two kids, I know it is not easy catching a good shot at the right moment. (At least for me!) We ended up with some great candid shots of both our children and of us too. We have now used her a couple of times and have referred her out to family and friends for weddings and family portraits. They have all been extremely happy with her work. As for pricing, I have found her to be more reasonable than other photographers in the area. But for us, we can be assured quality photos to share with our family and friends. I forgot just…read moreabout everything and 1 week before the wedding I hired her and she threw together a last minute wedding website that was ADORABLE. We were low on party favors and she thought of making these adorable smores packets for our bonfire with little labels with our names in them. They were a HUGE hit and totally filled things out. She also brought me the razor AND tooth brush I forgot. When my photographer went to the wrong location she and her husband played photographer for the dressing and they took GREAT pictures. She shuffled people around, kept things on time, rounded out edge, made everything look sharp and was extremely personable, professional, and polished. Everyone LOVED them! And this is only the things I remember them doing off the top of my head. I'm probably not even aware of MANY things they did. O, like when my sister/bridesmaid would NOT stop complaining about her dress and makeup and insisting someone do her makeup, Roz even did my sisters makeup may be to be nice - probably just to get her to shut up AND IT WORKED.
