I could give 100 stars review about Dr. Von Ins if I could. She has done so much than my 3 other doctors combined. Setting up an appointment with Dr. Von Ins was so easy and she took an hour!!! to examine my condition. I didn't feel rushed at all. She reviewed all my medications including anti depression, heart and sleeping pills. She tried to figure out the root causes of my issues and recommended better meds and life style advice. She checked my diet, exercise and sleeping habits too. Very Knowledgeable and sweet. She treated me as her family. She is the best lifestyle medicine Dr. not only to relieve my symptoms but help me get better. I can't thank her enough. read more

Well first of all I will have to say my experience with Samantha Von Ins has not been as fruitful as others, I would also say those reviews posted other on Yelp like this one were coererst to say something nice about this crumby I'll manered doctor as this one because she seems to think of her patients as sacks of potatoes. The reason I say Dr Von Ins is disrespectful is because every time she comes to visit me she seems to pretend I don't have my cognitive ability to make my own decisions to gain as much power as she can get over me as a patient.Take today just before 3pm she showed up out of the blue & she started right away telling me she was forcing me to go to the hospital & get an MRI because she knows I am in a lot of spinal pain. This is a doctor that has never examined me in any way & she didn't ask me any questions about my pain levels or how I was doing.She ended up giving me an anxiety attack & leaving me with out any anxiety medication? Icing on cake she left the nursing center without approval of my usual anxiety medication. I get the feeling I'm being punished for not going along with her Coop charade so this is how she left me without a regret & being the doctor I don't want at my bedside because it's never been productive. When it comes to my medical concerns she doesn't have the first good clue on how to do it right? There is no respectful conversation, discussions about what I could possibly need or want? It's always been the short cut medical practice? Has anybody had a doctor that doesn't care at all about what the patient wants or ask some caring questions so you get the feeling that you are being cared for the right way,the normal way.Bottom line this is an abnormal way to practice medicine. I attempted to become a patient at this facility with Dr. Von. I accessed their website and submitted a form to become a new patient with my husband. I received a text message shortly after to provide my insurance card and date of birth. Once I provided the requested information, I was told immediately that the doctor is not in my network. I had searched for a doctor in my area and that is also in my network with my employer, Dr. Von Was one of the first physicians to appear and had some of the best reviews. Even after double checking my search and providing proof that the doctor is in my network, I was still denied and advised that they aren't in my network. If you have Blue Shield California - Local Access+ HMO, good luck. This physician is apparently not in network. Seems like this facility needs to update their network list! read more

This one star is for Dr Samantha and zero star for her front desk lady. I went to Dr for wellness exam and she ordered so many labs without letting me know. I got almost $300 bill from insurance. Also, my insurance covers wellness but her greedy front desk girl asked me to pay copay of $25 twice. Anyway, i still decided to see doctor next year because i got UTI. Her front desk lady told me there was no appointment until 6 months. When i told her i have to wait 6 months to see Dr Samantha? She straight up told me that i should look for another Dr if i have an emergency. Like what the hell!! I was ready to see Dr in 2 months but she said 6 months! Worst staff! Luckily i got Dr's appointment in St Jude as a new patient in a month. Please do not go to see this Dr if you want an appointment in 2-3 months. read more

Hi everyone, I'm usually not someone who leaves reviews; however, this experience was very disappointing and felt necessary to share. I had scheduled a follow-up appointment regarding a medical concern and received confirmation for my appointment time. The day before the appointment, I reached out to get additional information and was informed that my scheduled time had been taken by someone else. Since I had already booked and confirmed this appointment, I'm unsure why it was double-booked. I was then offered another time later that same day, which initially was a relief. However, after agreeing to that time, I was told that it had also already been taken. Ultimately, I was informed that the next available appointment would not be for another three weeks. The entire process felt very unorganized and frustrating. Due to this experience, I decided to change doctors and would not recommend this office. read more

Dr. Von Ins is a great primary care doctor..Her staff is friendly and she doesn't leave you sitting in the lobby for hours so the visits are quick (but not rushed). I am so grateful that Dr. Samantha is now my primary care provider. After months of searching for some answers regarding my infertility, not being fully informed of a significant lab result by one fertility doctor and being denied basic lab tests through my Kaiser insurance- Dr. Sam was able to properly diagnose me with PCOS- which I had suspected and what other providers either did not care enough or were too restrained by insurance limitations to discover. She did not upcharge me for recommended lab tests which only came to $60 with her. The fertility practice wanted to charge me $600 for the exact same tests out of pocket! Through her care and guidance I've lost significant weight and my hormones are stabilizing and I will hopefully get pregnant in the coming months naturally. She has spent a considerable amount of time with me during all my visits with her, thoroughly discussing my concerns and formulating the most effective plan to move forward. I was initially taking my senior mom to see Dr. Von Ins. She has lots of patience for all of my mom's questions and concerns. Her bedside manner is extremely commendable and kind. When my insurance changed, it was hard leaving my PCP and St. Jude after over 25 years, but it was a no brainer to switch over to Dr. Von Ins' office. Thankfully she took my new insurance. My 2 daughters, in their 20's, also see her. My oldest has special needs and I was so pleased with how much extra care Dr. Von Ins gave her. The entire office staff, Ashley, Monique, Myra, Jessica, and Lucia are all extremely pleasant and professional. I never feel rushed and they try to accommodate your schedule as much as possible. Let me first start by saying Dr. Von Ins was my physician several years ago and she is great however I ended up changing insurance and couldn't have her as my doctor any longer. When I had changed my insurance and I contacted her front office if they accepted it, I was treated horribly by her front desk girl Lupe at the time almost as if my insurance was just too disgusting for her to verify and confirm if they accepted it. Fast forward to the present, my brother now a patient of this practice assigned Dr. Von Ins as his PCP. Instead of things getting better w/time, I feel like w/this place it got MUCH worse. Similar to what other Yelp reviews state, Dr. Von Ins REFUSES to address any other issues during your visit, demands you schedule another appointment to discuss each individual issue separately which is VERY difficult to do in the first place. Oldest trick in the book to collect more money, both from insurance AND patient. Ernie at the front desk is just something else. HE IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND 1000% SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PICK UP A PHONE. PERIOD. Calling the office and knowing he will be the one answering the phone is it's actually worse than getting teeth pulled. The best physician I've ever had! Caring, kind, listens, explains. Amazing and professional.

So disappointed with this place. I just walked out because I had an appointment at 10:30am and it was 11:45 and I had still not been seen. I waited 30 minutes in the lobby, then they finally took me to a room and told me to undress for my physical and literally left me sitting in the room undressed for nearly 40minutes. Outside of the fact that I wasted my time and gas to go to the appointment, I was more upset that they left me in a room undressed for 40 minutes without any consideration for me. I even called the front desk to let them know I had been waiting for an hour and they just told me to wait that the doctor would be out "soon". This is only my second visit and I'm not pleased. Not to mention that the first time I went they gave me someone else's paperwork that had their address and other confidential information which worries me that my information may not stay confidential under their care. Luckily I shredded the paperwork but who knows who could have used that information for ill intentions. The doctor seemed pleasant the first visit but I've yet to actually have a follow up with her because there are no appointments available any time soon and when you have an appointment they make you wait over an hour to be seen. read more

First of all, Ernie the guy at the front desk is extremely rude! I thought it was just to me over the phone, but when I went in to see the doctor & heard him on the phone with other patients, I realized that's how he treats everyone! Anyhow, I made an appt over a month ago to see Dr. Von, originally when I had made this appt, I thought I was coming in to follow up with my symptoms that I have been having for alopecia (hair loss) which has been getting worse. I also had mentioned that I needed a refill for my Xanax prescription because I occasionally get anxiety. She gave me such a hard time to refill my prescription and lowered my dosage. Mind you it's my first time seeing her & she didn't even know that I had anxiety because I lost my son a few years ago & went thru severe depression. I was trying to let her know that my alopecia was getting worse (I even tried to show her and she stopped me!) and that I was feeling tired all the time. And her response was "we are not here to talk about your alopecia, today we are talking about your anxiety, if you want to talk about your alopecia, you'd have to schedule another appt for that!" I was so shocked at her response, I thought to myself... are you fking kidding me! What, wait for another month, drive 30 min to schedule another appt to talk about my other ongoing symptom??? She didn't even seem to have a genuine concern about why I felt tired lately or seem to even care about my hair loss. She was rushing me and was adamant about not bringing up my other symptoms. Almost like saying I'm not getting paid for that right now so schedule another appt so I can get paid for that. No fks given but I told her I wasn't coming back ever again! And that I would never schedule an appt with her! Don't go here... there are way better doctors out there that actually care about their patients health and not just to get paid! read more

Dr. Sam is nothing short of AMAZING!!! My 6 year old son was sick on and off for ~2 months. My wife and I thought it was just your seasonal cold/flu that was going around. But it was odd that he kept getting sick. So my wife and I scheduled an appointment with our regular pediatrician. Unfortunately, they wouldn't be able to see our son for over a week. As our frustration grew, my wife and I decided to contact Dr. Sam to see if she can help. Within a few hours she came right to our doorstep and did a full checkup on my son. She was able to figure out that my son was experiencing a simple sinus infection. That same evening, she was able to prescribe him antibiotics that we were able to pick up at our local pharmacy. Within 2 days, my son was back to 100%. Dr. Sam is AMAZING!!! If anyone in my family is in need of a doctor, I wouldn't hesitate to refer them to Dr. Sam!!! read more
