It's in a good location with plenty of street parking and while there's not a lot of curb appeal, it sounded good, so thought we'd give it a go. The interior is a little odd; quite a mish mosh of decor. But it smelled good inside, so we were eager to see what the food was like. They took our order promptly, and were accommodating with requests. The food came out in good time, which was more impressive since they were doing a few take out orders. The entrees were nice. Generic chicken spring rolls and chicken curry puffs. They were really nice and would probably order again. For my main, I had the chicken fried rice and though it was really nothing to look at (presentation left much to be desired) the food was very good. The kitchen honoured our requests for changes to the dishes, and the mains also came out in reasonable timing. From a pricing point of view, I think it was very reasonable. Mains were in the mid teens, and on a par with other small Thai restaurants. Overall ... would I come back again? If I was in the area, I'd definitely come back again. There wasn't anything really bad about it here at all. Considering it's almost a 30 minute drive from home to it, I'd be more inclined to try elsewhere first. But if you find yourself in Sandringham and want a good Thai meal, give this a try for sure.

Admittedly, this was my first time trying Nepalese food, but I love Indian and I know they're a little similar, so thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did, because the food was fantastic. The restaurant itself is nicely decked out. It's got a slight modern warehouse type feel to it, but there's ample room (but with small tables), and beautiful smells coming from the kitchen. I ordered the Pan Fried Sekuwa, which are pieces of chicken thigh fillets marinated with mustard leaves, yoghurt, garlic, ginger and cumin. It was so delicious and came with a mini refreshing salad of cucumber and onion and tomato etc. A really good start to the meal. Following that, I ordered the Chicken Curry for my main (which came with butternut pumpkin) and plain rice. It was beautiful and fresh and while the chicken wasn't as tender as the entree, it was still packed with flavour and texture. The service was good. Food came out all together and correctly and within a reasonable time frame, and the prices are worth it for what you get. Street parking is plenty along that side and portion of Waverly Road and I really look forward to trying it again another time.

Prices are very reasonable and the choice of wines good. Parking is readily available on Waverly Rd and a booking was not necessary when we visited. It was a pleasure not to be bothered by piped music so we all had a good conversation in a friendly atmosphere with attentive staff. The flavours were delicate and interesting. The nan breads were a treat. So treat yourself to a night out at Nepal Dining Room.

On a whim while wandering the streets we saw ramen and my sleep deprived brain thought that would be the perfect pick me up on our first day on the ground. I ordered my $7 bowl of minced chicken ramen, and though it was on the salty side, it was extremely satisfying and warmed me up after walking around the city on a cold, wet day. Another incredible choice. Many mains, come with pomme frites, so you think not to order anything else. The only negative, was that there are so few per meal. For mine, that had a lot of jus, it NEEDED something like a full serve of pomme frites, or else I would have ordered some other kind of side. However, it was delicious. Lastly, I ordered the Rum Baba which should have been delicious, and probably was, except there was way too much rum poured over it for my liking. It was fresh and had potential, and when I eat there next time and maybe order dessert again, I'd ask for no rum, to be honest. Overall, the experience here was great. We all enjoyed our dinners and again, the service was very good. Yes, it's a little pricey, but this was an occasion, so it was worth it. Bussing service. The cocktails and drinks are fantastic and I've been coming here for 30 years so definitely worth putting on you must have list, cause it's an experience.
