Sam's club gas station sucks you only can pull in one side if tank fill is on driver side you have to sit in line while 5 pumps for passenger side fill sit empty attendant won't let you pull around now , so I will get gas at Weis from now on it's same price read more

I've been a member for a very long time and always preferred it much more than Costco which I am still a member for also a longer time than Sam's. In CA they did open at 7 am but in the east coast it is 8 am which I don't mind. West coast eats healthier than east coast so I wish they would select more healthier alternatives which I know doesn't sell very well but try it more often instead of rarely. I don't have many complaints other than that. Sam's is an awesome store and I have always liked it for its quality items as I mentioned I also still shop at Costco, however, prefer Sam's prices and quality! Keep up the good work! read more

Sam's Sunday hours are open til 6:00. We did our shopping & my husband went to order a pizza as I was checking out at 5:50 & was told the pizza ovens were shut off.... very unprofessional! We are paying an annual fee & hours are posted & they should abide by their hours! read more

Meh. Meh. Meh! That's about all I can say about a visit to Sam's club. Knowing that Sam's is the cooler relative to Wal-Mart doesn't make it any better. I wasn't particularly happy to be coming here, but when you aren't the one driving, you don't get to make the decisions. I was like that little kid you take shopping with you that purposely drags his feet in hopes that you will get fed up and leave. I didn't even want anything to do with the free samples. Even though the guy that was handing out samples of chicken sausage kept trying to get me take a sample. No sir, I don't want any of your sausage! The one thing I did like here was that they have self checkouts which makes for an easier exit. Even if they do have the stupid rule that you have to take the items out of your cart. Sure, I'll lift that 50 pound bucket of mayonnaise out and put it back in the cart...right. *Nifty thing here is they have a vending type machine that gives you free samples of prepackaged items. Depends on the week and which company wants you to buy their product. read more

Needed to contact customer service about a return of a mattress in a box. They will not answer the phone. The mattress is defective and would not flatten out. They only give me the option to return it to the store. If I could return it, I wouldn't have had to buy a rolled up mattress to begin with! ANSWER YOUR PHONE! read more

I used to love shopping here. I've been a member for over 20 years. As a plus member you use to receive special deals and early hours. A few years ago they started to give the special deals to everyone. I found out yesterday the no longer have early hours for members. Not only did the get rid of the early hours they now stock the shelves during the day. Genius idea. So now you have to actually wait in line to get out do to so many people you also have to wait to go down isles because they are stocking shelves. This use to be a great store. No longer. This place is pretty great. I have a small business and my wholesale suppliers sometimes can't beat Sam's price and quality. Most of the cashiers are a treat to deal with. Yea I'm talking about Tiff... Only issue I have encountered. Was they sometimes drop a product I like and use a lot. Oh well. My wife and I like to shop early before the store gets crowded. So we got a Prime membership several years ago so we could make the 7:00 AM opening time. We arrived there at our usual time this past Wednesday to find opening hours changed to 9:00 AM. Due to this change along with several other changes, I will not be renewing my membership card. Although I spent an average of $150 to $200 a month, the present management is only interested in customers that own businesses and spend large amounts. read more

I really like Sam's club but lately is is uncomfortable. My last week visit I was approached by a gentleman who did not introduce himself or why he stopped me. He asked me about what cell phone carrier o had. We have both Verizon and ATT. He accused me of making that up. Really?! You can't have both? I asked what it is he wanted and he became defensive actually scoffing at me. I told him that I came to shop and was busy. He snapped that he was only trying to save me money. Not professional at all! Several employees were standing about complaining about working. I came to get birthday cakes. The bakery is super. Employees are pleasant and polite and cakes are delicious. Unfortunately a friend got a cake earlier and her child's name was misspelled and the writing was a mess. Self checkout staff are always pleasant and helpful. The card checks need to be consistent. One day they check and it causes a pile up because some days they check and some days they don't. Other customers have commented the same when entering. read more

This is the worst Sam's Club I've ever visited. Some employees there are friendly and customer focused, but many are not. I've been treated poorly in this Sam's Club on numerous occasions......I've had nothing but positive experiences at other Sam's Clubs. I assume the problem starts with management and cascades down through all employees, as rudeness and poor customer service seem to be quite prevalent at this particular location. I am writing about my terrible experience at Altoona, PA Sam's Club. My fiancé and I went in dead set on a mattress for our new home, so we went to wait in line to sign up for a membership AND credit card. We were the only ones in line and patiently waited for 20 min while another customer was helped. When it was our turn, we approached the counter and the lady immediately turned away from us and went down the counter to another older gentleman who said "I was next." He had just got there, and she had seen us standing there for twenty minutes, alone, in line. Another Sams club worker told the lady behind the counter that we were next, and my fiancé said "We were next, why aren't you helping us?" She shrugged her shoulders and made no eye contact with us. We then asked the other worker what was going to be done, and she said nothing. We walked away, no membership or purchase, and went to another store who showed us great customer service and a great bed. Thanks for pointing us in a better direction and losing our business and my in-laws, who cancelled their membership! read more
