Several of our friends bring coolers when they visit so they can take 20 lb or more of bacon, in-house sausage, and other meat products back home to stock their freezers! We've been buying jerky from the Country Butcher for 40 years and we've never been disappointed,…read moreuntil now. For some reason they've soaked the meat in oil before packaged it. I cannot think of any reason to do that other than increasing the weight. I had to use a paper towel and dry off every piece as I took it out of the package. See the pictures below. You can see the puddle of oil on the meat. You can see the oil stained on the paper towel I pressed out of the piece of jerky . Also check out the before and after pictures of what it looked like after I dried off the right hand piece. Unfortunately, I won't be back. Buyer beware.

I spoke w a guy and was told he couldn't get any beef and he would have it in January, that he could refund my money. I called today and asked for a refund and was told they would "let me know". this is not at all the way you do business. This is poor Customer Service I called another butcher today and they will have a half a beef for me within the month
