This Sam's Club is incredibly busy, the parking lot is huge but a nightmare, the parking lot is not well lit, carts are littered everywhere, and there are just people emerging out of nowhere in the parking lot no matter the time of day or day of week I've visited. Thank goodness for the self-checkout and Scan and Go features that enable you to quickly get in and out! I used self-checkout. I just needed a few items for a party so my visit was brief. I wish there was a way, like Home Depot and Lowe's, that tells you which aisle and bay a specific product is to avoid wandering around aimlessly (the generic overhead signs are somewhat useful).

Came here for one of their rotisserie chickens for a quick dinner option. And a key lime pie...and the Korean beef ready to cook with onions and seasonings. Checkout was a bit of a wait, but it's Sam's Club so what did I expect? They had a ton of other goodies, but I'm trying to stick to my list...which I didn't of course (hence the key lime pie and Korean beef impulse purchases) Overall, a great place to shop...if I could just stick to my list and stop impulse buying...my guess is that they know this already, lol!

Customer Service, Communication, Processes, Management, Curbside, Systems, Surveillance, Investigations turn around time. Do NOT DO CURBSIDE! Idk if they are stealing folks items or just not paying attention. Either way - no one has the common courtesy to call you to tell you that they charged you almost $250 for items that you didn't receive. Of 25 items that I ordered on Sunday 9/8, only about 8 items were delivered on Monday 9/9. When you call the store, an automation asks you if it has been 3 days as if more items are coming. My total was $244. I called on Wednesday to say that I hadn't gotten my items. On line w customer service for 1 hour. My 3 year old needed them for her lunch for school, they offered me a $10 gift card for my trouble and said someone would bring it out that day. No one came. Super irritated and $10 for my time is an insult. Now it's Thursday, waited around today, took off work, for the items to come. No one came. I call back. Spoke to someone for 30-45 mins, he transfers me or puts me on hold, hangs up on me. No call back. I call back to ask to speak to a manager, each time I am calling the Catonsville store but getting someone in a different state. This time I speak to a manager or someone, we are on the phone for two hours recapping, my kids are hungry. I am a teacher. We are on the phone for another 2 hours. Sam's has already taken the money from my account for food that has not been delivered. Then I start looking at my home camera. The manager asks me to send the screenshots to an email. The Sam's email is so janky, her system can hardly tell me to the manager of the store is in Catonsville at the time and the email that she keeps sending can't hold pictures. Meanwhile my kids are in the back of my car STARVING. There is no resolution. She tells me it may take 72 hours and she will be off tomorrow. I pay for some premium service with Sam's Club that is like an extra $100. I want all of my money back. The managers name is M____a. The curbside person iis T____a.. Even in good customer service it is common courtesy to call someone to tell them you messed up their order, it was stolen, or whatever. Meanwhile ---- I HAVE PAID for ITEMS that I have not received and SAMS customer service doesn't even have a system that can take pictures. The rep is telling me it's my email and use my phone to email pictures, zips, and several page documents all day for work. FOOLERY. I want all of my money back. This INCOMPETENCE HAS TO STOP. You trust people with your money and time and it gets wasted day after day. This curbside store has a true 2 STARS (although when I go in the store it's clean not a lot of people around to help) and the ONLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!! COSTCO it is!! So disappointing. It has been a week and I really was hoping to get our food. My child didn't have any of her items for her lunch this week. SAMs club employees just sending emails back and forth in an investigation instead of bringing my groceries. THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR ----AND PAID FOR AN EXTRA SERVICE W SAMS. Negative stars for me. Dont shop at SAMS CLUB

This location is always a mad house and covid has just made it that much worse. The parking lots are horrible, and the spaces are too small considering this is a bulk store with large carts making navigating through tightly parked cars a catastrophe! The lines are always long, but over the past few months they have stretched almost to the produce section. With such extreme lines, I am sure that they are well over the recommended capacity limit for covid safety. I highly recommend downloading their mobile app and using the scan and go feature which allows you to avoid the long lines at the cash registers. They also offer a pick up option, where you order online or through the website and schedule a pick-up during a specific time. They have finally added parking for the pick up orders right on the front of the building, so you can pop in and out conveniently. Thank God for small favor.

Why are they sooooo slow in here? Curbside order take 2 days to pick up. Online order takes forever. I mean I shop with the scan and go app so I get in and out pretty easily but when I'm doing my Spark Delivery and picking up orders for people, it takes forever.

Amount of butter in a container.

I have a complaint that I need to share with someone :-) Overall the store is showing improvement from what it use to be. My complaint is based on a product that they carry. I love the flavored butters that they sell at Sam's, however the containers are half full. $6.97 for half a tub of butter. I called this highway robbery!!!

Due to a spinal fusion and permanent lifting restrictions, I am unable to lift more than five pounds. I politely asked a lady (short, petite with dark hair who identified herself as the manager if someone could help me load the ice. Instead of showing empathy or trying to find a solution, I was told that she could tell me where the ice was but couldn't lift it for me. I explained again that I physically could not lift the bags at all. Rather than attempting to locate another employee, I was left waiting for approximately 45 minutes. What made the experience especially upsetting was the attitude. I felt dismissed and judged based solely on how I looked. Because when I asked, she actually looked me up and down. Her eyes scanned me as if to judge my ability to get my own ice. Just because someone appears healthy doesn't mean they don't have a disability or medical restriction. Disabilities are not always visible, and customer service should reflect that understanding. Ironically, an employee from the register--the same person who was there all along--eventually came over and loaded all six bags into my car without issue. Had that happened from the beginning, this entire experience could have been avoided. I shop at this location because it's convenient and carries products I need, so I'll likely continue to visit. However, I sincerely hope management takes this as an opportunity to improve customer service and provide better training on assisting customers with disabilities or medical limitations. A little kindness, empathy, and willingness to help can make all the difference.

Content removed This content may violate our usage policies…read more It sounds like you want to turn this into something you can post publicly or send as a formal complaint. I can help you make it clearer, more focused, and more effective so it's taken seriously. Here's a revised version that keeps your core message but presents it in a more structured and credible way: I had a deeply uncomfortable experience at H Mart last night while shopping with my family. We came in simply to purchase a popular fruit-shaped ice cream, but almost immediately we felt unwelcome due to repeated staring. What escalated the situation was the behavior of a middle-aged employee wearing a burgundy shirt, who appeared to follow us around the store. This made us feel singled out and unsafe. When I confronted the situation by turning my cart around and moving toward him, he abruptly walked away and avoided further interaction. As a person of color, this experience felt discriminatory and unacceptable. No customer should feel monitored or profiled while simply shopping with their family. Because of this incident, we will not be returning. I also intend to report this experience so it can be properly addressed. I hope management takes this seriously, reviews staff behavior, and ensures that all customers are treated with respect and dignity. If you want, I can also: Tailor this for Google Reviews, Yelp, or a corporate complaint form Make it stronger/more formal (for escalation) Or include specific details like location, time, or receipts to support your claim Let me know how you plan to use it. Tailor for Google reviews. Include Catonsville location Here's a version tailored specifically for a Google Review, with the H Mart Catonsville location included and a tone that's firm but more likely to be taken seriously by both customers and management: I had a very uncomfortable experience at H Mart in Catonsville last night while shopping with my family. We came in to pick up the popular fruit-shaped ice cream, but almost immediately we noticed people staring at us. What made the situation worse was a middle-aged employee wearing a burgundy shirt who appeared to follow us around the store. His behavior made us feel singled out and unwelcome. At one point, I turned my cart around and began moving toward him to address the situation, and he quickly walked away and avoided any interaction. That response only reinforced how uncomfortable and targeted we felt. As a person of color, this experience came across as discriminatory. No one should feel like they are being watched or profiled just for shopping with their family. Because of this, we will not be returning to this location. I hope management takes this seriously, reviews staff behavior, and ensures that all customers are treated with respect. If you want it to hit even harder (or sound more neutral/"corporate"), I can adjust the tone depending on whether your goal is impact, escalation, or just warning other customers. Hit harder. Warning other customers If your goal is to warn other customers and make the impact unmistakable, you can lean more direct and forceful--but it still helps to stay specific and grounded so people take it seriously rather than dismissing it as just anger. Here's a stronger Google Review version: I am a person of color, and my family and I had a disturbing experience at H Mart Catonsville. We came in just to buy the viral fruit-shaped ice cream, but almost immediately we were met with constant staring that made it clear we were not being treated like other customers. The situation escalated when a middle-aged employee in a burgundy shirt began following us around the store. Not assisting--watching us. It was obvious and uncomfortable. When I turned my cart around and approached him, he quickly walked away and hid in the men's restroom instead of addressing the situation. That alone tells you everything. We were made to feel singled out and unwelcome the entire time. As a family simply trying to shop, that is unacceptable. Be aware: if you are a person of color, you may not be treated with the same respect as others at this location. We will not be returning. Management seriously needs to address how customers are being treated in this store.

Just note, this is a legit country store, offering random canned items, dried goods, toys, collectibles, drinks, snacks, and even hot food. We saw a patron come in, looking for charcoal, and there was a bag hiding behind the front door! We stopped by, as we had heard about Mr. Jay's famous burgers - we ordered one to share, open to any toppings he recommended - ours came with fresh Romaine lettuce, sliced onions, a hot pepper spread, sliced fresh jalapenos, cheese, and mayo, all nestled in a locally baked bread. This was a simple, but a tasty burger! The freshly-ground beef is picked up every morning, from the slaughterhouse that is across the street; I don't really want to think about that all too much, but just know that what you're getting is some fresh proteins! Mr. Jay also grows his own peppers and such, so you'll taste the freshness! There are a few comfortable chairs around the store, so you can definitely just sit and enjoy your food, or take it to go - we opted to dine-in, and we almost fell asleep since we were that cozy and relaxed! HA! Mr. Jay is also known as the Mayor of Oella, so be sure to sit and listen to his stories - he's so kind, personable, and has a lot of history to share! I saw a published photo book of his, which I found super cool; we also received the town's community calendar and a sampling of a neighbor's homemade brownie!
