I'm writing this to warn other customers of the inconsistent return policy of Sam's Club. I bought two bottles of Downy fabric softener in November 2025 and they are not open or used at all. I tried to return them today (July 26, 2026) at Clarksville's Sam's Club, IN, but was declined. The reason was I bought them more than 90 days ago. According to the return policy on the screen above the customer service, only electronics can't be returned after 90 days. I pointed this out and asked to talk to the manager. However, the manager declined to see me and sent another person to repeat the same 90 days policy to reject my return. If this is the new return policy, they should have posted it to let all customers know. read more

I have been doing curbside pickup for the last few months and it has been decent until yesterday. The app was not working and it gave me an error when I tried to click "on my way". We are currently experiencing technical difficulties please try again later. I went to another store and picked up my curbside there and went over to Sams and parked in the curb side parking. Still the app doesn't work. So, I called customer service and a robot told me that I had no choice but to enter the store and get my order. The bot then hung up! I physically cannot go in to the store. So, i ask a staff member in the parking lot and I'm told to use the app. I tried to explain that the app was not working on my end but he didn't listen. I lost my money on the order because I couldn't get it. I'll never use Sam's again. I canceled my membership renewal and they won't get my business back. read more

Okay, hear me out. There are some less fortunate parts of this Sam's club, it's bathrooms can be dirty at times, it can be disorganized, but the quality of the food and great prices are worth the grime to me. I have to limit my trips to Sam's club for the sake of my own health- the bakery has some of the best treats to exist, and if you ask the bakers, they'll give you a free cookie! The Chocolate Chip cookies are my favorite, you can get a tray of 24 for just $10, and I could finish them all in just one sitting. If you're wanting to balance out all your sugar with something healthy, they sell a three pound bag of almonds for only $12. If you're wanting to eat healthier but just can't afford it, this is a fantastic option for you- two pounds of broccoli for just $3, all the ingredients to make plenty of salads for a total of just $20 (croutons, romaine lettuce, vinaigrettes and dressing). The cafe is amazing. They have several amazing deals here- I just got a large drink and soft pretzel for only $1.75- and if you're in a pinch for making dinner, you might want to stop by and grab their $14 pizza deal- it comes with a pizza, a two liter of your choice of soft drink, breadsticks, and six chocolate chip cookies (the exact same ones I mentioned earlier). read more

I live in Louisville, but always venture over to Indiana when me or my mom need to go to Sam's. I find this Sam's Club to be cleaner and more organized than the one closest to me in Louisville. Customer Service is pretty much nonexistent except for the greeter as I enter and exit the store since I mainly opt for the self checkout. I sometimes find some good deals and sometimes find the cutes things I don't need but have to have, like a cute designer lunch box or unique storage container. I have both a Costco and Sam's membership and Costco is far more superior when it comes to customer service and samples. But it is always a nice surprise when I earn the $20 off my order. read more

Over many years I've had my problems and criticisms with Sam's. However I must give credit where credit is due. The last couple of weeks I've had two curbside orders with Sam's. On both occasions my orders were ready significantly in advance of my pick up appointment time. Additionally, I received every item I ordered. I should point out neither order included TP or paper towels. I was most impressed with my last order. I placed my order Monday around noon with a pick up appointment of Tuesday between noon and 1 pm. Tuesday morning, approximately 7 am, yes 7 am, I received a text informing me my order was ready for pick up. When I arrived around noon Tuesday for pick up, I only had to wait about 10 minutes before my order was loaded into my car. As previously stated, I ordered 14 items and I received all 14 items. For all my previous criticisms of Sam's, I must admit they have their curbside service operating perfectly, at least for me at this time. Great job Sam's! read more

Self-checkout has really improved the Sam experience over the years, but for me what makes Sam's Club great are the items it carries that you can't find easily at other stores. (I'm looking at you Keebler M&M cookies, oh and and nuggets that taste just like Chic Fil-A!). The service is typically friendly, especially those that hand out the free samples. read more

I will combine a couple visits in one review since they were so close in dates of visiting. First visit I bought a freezer my wife wanted and the store help was happy to locate it and bring it to the front of the store for me while I waited. Everything went fine and the freezer works great. My wife saw the freezer go on sale better than it was when I bought it so I took the receipt to the Customer Service Desk and spoke with Blond Debbie, aka Puddin Tane. She was so cordial, understanding what my issue was and refunded me the difference. I really appreciate service like that and makes me continue to shop at Sam's gratefully. Most of the time the selection is good. Customer service desk is a complete mess. No coordination at all. Checkout lines are impossible. I come for certain things here that are relatively cheaper. I have found some good deals here, but was agitated on my last visit. I went to the service counter first so I could get a temporary card since I forgot my larger wallet with my membership card. I then spent a couple hours and had over $400 worth of purchases in my cart. When I checked out the clerk brought to my attention that my membership had expired. Why wouldn't they have told me that when they were looking up my membership to issue me my temporary card before I shopped? Yes, I renewed since I had already went through the time and trouble of picking all of that out but I just think it would've been better customer service to let me know that beforehand. read more

This time, I ordered gift cards and still needed to activate but didn't know how. So I called the store then the lady on the phone didn't even know you can order online gift cards also where to call about activation. She just told me they can activate gift cards but I need to pay again. It didn't really make sense to me. So I went to online chat and solved the problem... --One more thing I think they can improve is that I think they should have pick up window in the separate area from customer service. The little lady in the picture was trying as hard as she could, she was very sweet when you got up there, but she just couldn't handle it by herself. This one is the same as others, meh service, some inexpensive goods, and some goods that are cheaper on Amazon. The cashiers are efficient and friendly, customer service acts like they are burnt out sometimes and helpful on other days. They have a few receipt checkers that are fast and one that holds up lines while he talks to people leaving the store. Yes Bob I'm talking about how you held everyone up while I was trying to leave your store so you could have a ten minute conversation with the family in front of me. Bad: This location is in a very congested area and is usually difficult navigating in and out. The congestion continues inside with crowds of people. I don't mind crows at places like flea markets. I think it is the combination of over-sized shopping carts and the crowds that stress me out. Good: I noticed an employee working the long lines at the checkout. This may already be commonplace, but it was the first time I saw it. The employee pre-scanned the items in my cart and loaded it on my card. When it was time for me to checkout, and many others as well, I was done and paid in two swipes. Good deal. One of the stars in my rating is for this alone. read more

So not impressed with this location! We came in to print off some pictures, however the photo area was not manned. We had someone called over and they were helpful, however they walked away. Once we had completed the order, we had to have someone called back over 4 different times to complete our purchase. We wasted 45 minutes in this store. I have ordered cakes from the bakery three separate times over the past year (their cakes are AMAZING, I'll give them that) and every single time I've gotten a rude employee. Don't wanna take a cake order? Don't work in a bakery then. The people who are third party sellers or whatever need to go. I normally love sams club, as I keep a membership and shop weekly there. But this past November we made a mistake of ordering a mattress online from sams club. We ordered on nov 30 th. It was set to be delivered by dec 17 th which was a wait but we dealt. It cost 640 dollars to be charged to my card when it shipped. Now mind you I expect unless a big ordeal things to be somewhat on time. On dec 10 th they charged my card which meant it shipped. Now not to me, as I found out , but to xpo logistics. Well dec 17 came and went and when I called sams who I paid, they informed me they hadn't a clue where my mattress was. Said I had to call Serta. Yes. So we called Serta who said they def shipped the California king mattress to xpo, xPo claimed of course they never received it. So I had to beg sams club to deal with this as I was getting the run around. They finally after me harassing them said that the mattress would ship Jan 7 th from Serta, because they were still making it. Good gosh. Really. Okay so it shipped to xpo on the seventh and we were tO set an apt. Talked to xpo and agreed on Jan 11, 7 am - 1130 am delivery. Well they were a no show no call. Called and they said oh well the driver must have not went out. On our scheduled white glove delivery day?!?! So we drove to xpo, door was wide open, inside the building were everyone's purchased and paid for items. With children playing in the warehouse bouncing around and climbing on every thing. I had to walk through the building to find an adult who shockingly asked how I got in. I told her through the wide open door. I waited for her to find me someone to talk to. Found her and she confirmed my item was there. I had to tell her I would come back with my truck to get it. Just absolutely ridiculous. Point being sams collected my 640 dollars and washed their hands of the issue. I had to chase down the mattress. Never ever would I again buy something online like this again.
