I really enjoy using Mathes Pharmacy and am grateful for their friendly and on-time service…read more The great services they provide are: *they will call you at an appointed time each month to automatically refill your medications. *they will deliver partial medication refills when the doctor office doesn't respond quick enough for any remaining medications. *they will deliver by the following day, if not the same day. *they have a store of health related products across the street, while selling such items in their pharmacy store. *I'd say the turn-over rate is relatively low. I've been using Mathes for two years and many of the same employees are still there. A huge plus! *signing for delivered medications is easy and quick. *they're quick to correct any errors, without any inconvenience to the customer. *a couple of times they ran out of a particular medication, which they restocked and delivered within a couple of days. *I think their prices are very competitive, if not better, than their competitors. A couple of times I called to compare prices and Mathes was definitely lower. They also price matched in order to keep my business. I loved that! I HIGHLY recommend Mathes. They're building a new store front. The new store is located in the same location - further back in the large parking lot. They switched our insurance plan, and Mathes was not listed as one of the pharmacies that we could use. We have a large family and couldn't justify paying the extra expenses to use them. So we were forced to use CVS, since that is the company that purchased my vehicle idea company. She was now an employee of the nations largest pharmacy chain. What we found was that this company was out of medications more than once. One time we had to wait a week and a half for a common medication to be refilled because they were out! 10 days without a medication, when there are numerous other pharmacies in the area owned by the same company. So fortunately CVS sold the company after a year, and we are able to go back to Mathes. As soon as my medications run out, I'll be there. Why go to Mathes? Because it's NOT a big box store pharmacy. You may not be wowed this it's customer service, but they are always friendly and very helpful. They will definitely take care of you. Plus they are local, which is a bonus to me. If you need a prescription delivered, they even have a free delivery service. I highly recommend going here. Skip the big guys. You won't be sorry.

This was my first time using CVS Photo. At 11:46 p.m. PST, I placed an online order for prints to be picked up the following day by my mother in Indiana. The CVS website did not allow me to enter payment information, so at approximately 8:30 a.m. EST I called the Jeffersonville store to arrange payment and, more importantly, confirm that the order had been received and would be ready for pickup. The employee who answered identified himself as Asher. What followed was extraordinary--not because I expected special treatment, but because I apparently expected something CVS was unwilling to provide: basic courtesy and customer service. After telling me that the store could not take payment over the phone, Asher said he needed to help another customer and put the phone down without placing me on hold. I waited. And waited. And listened as he helped four additional customers with the self-checkout kiosks. When another employee asked who was on the phone, I heard Asher reply, "Don't worry, I've already answered it," and continued his conversation while I remained on the line. I eventually hung up. And then I did something that made the entire experience even more absurd: I went to Walgreens and placed the exact same order. The comparison was almost comical. CVS: $15.74Walgreens: $4.74 CVS: Payment could not be completed online.Walgreens: Payment completed online immediately. CVS: I couldn't even get basic confirmation from the store.Walgreens: Pickup confirmed in approximately one hour. CVS: Complicated process followed by being effectively ignored.Walgreens: Simple process, payment completed, my mother designated for pickup, done. Walgreens accomplished in minutes what CVS made unnecessarily difficult--and charged me less than one-third of the price. This is not a complaint about a long wait, a technical glitch, or an employee having a bad day. Businesses get busy. Mistakes happen. This was different. A first-time customer encountered an inconvenient ordering process, called for assistance, and was then made to feel like an annoyance rather than a customer. That is a particularly remarkable way to run a business. CVS didn't merely lose this sale. You lost the opportunity to turn a first-time customer into a repeat customer. And you managed to do it before I had even completed my first transaction. I have taken my business to Walgreens, where the experience was faster, easier, dramatically less expensive, and--most importantly--treated me like a customer. CVS has permanently lost my business over a $15.74 photo order. That's not because $15.74 is significant. It's because how you treat people when they're trying to give you their money matters. If CVS Corporate is interested in understanding why customers leave, this would be an excellent place to start.

When I finally caught COVID in 2023 I was able to make an appointment and be seen within 45 minutes of finding they existed in this Walgreens. I use the Walgreens on 10th & Spring only because it's next to my Doctor and can usually just walk out of my doctors appointment over to Walgreens and then I have everything I need and go home. But the Clarksville Walgreens Pharmacy staff are just as friendly. I've seen people get very upset with them, but what needs to be understood is the pharmacist cannot make pills just appear.
