I've Shopped here a few times times. They have all the items we need. It's like Costco, however, some items they carry are not available at Costco. Customer service has been good. Some times, we stop by the deli at to purchase their hotdogs and pizza. It's been awhile since I purchased a hotdog here. Seems like it shrunk or they're using smaller dogs and buns. They still are yummy. The pizza appears to be more tasty than Costco's. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't had it in a while. LOL! read more

The tire department does not have too many experience employees. How is a buggy person now a mechanic in the tire shop? They messing up rims in the shop.This is why Sam's now force the customers into signing off on their form that states Sam's is not responsible for damages to your property. I purchased the for $80.00 the new tires package ( free rotation and balance, etc.). The mechanic told me that I could not get any service without signing off on the form. They jack your truck up on the differential but don't want to pay for damages if it leaks. Bye Sam's and hello Costco. read more

7/20/24 Went into the store to sign up for new membership due to I was unable to online. Paid for membership after extreme confusion from clueless staff. After shopping for 5 items I was still unable to checkout because my brand new account was linked to another account.. took around 2hrs total. Store manager never came after continually asking for "Maddie". Left message for store manager Maddie still has not returned my call. We love Sam's Club and would choose it over and over again over Costco. This location never disappoints. They have a great selection and are always well stocked for holidays. The meat is fresh and so are the deli items. Things can be low in stock/inventory especially on the weekend. The lines can also be extremely long. Checking out on the app is so simple and it makes getting in and out quick! The workers at the door can be a bit grumpy dealing with everyone leaving, but other than that this location is pretty good! read more

I've been to this particular Sam's Club location a couple times. It's clean and well stocked, but rarely has enough checkouts open to handle the crowds. Late morning today, on a Monday less than two weeks before Christmas, only two checkouts open. Seriously? After a long wait, I finally got to the front of the line, to find a disinterested clerk, who rang me up, with only one error. Upon pointing it out to her, she told me that I had to go to "customer service" to get my $3 back. Long lines at customer service, of course, so I decided to just leave. It wasn't worth the $3 to wait another 15-20 minutes, so I tried to leave, only to be sent to the back of the "exit line", behind 8-10 shoppers with full baskets. Every time I shop Sam's, I'm reminded why I love Costco, but this experience really reinforced it! read more

Clean and well stocked store but it's hit or miss with employee interaction and check out is like you are on the 10 ten most notorious thieves. Employees are employees, some are happy to be working and understand customer service, while others feel that you are interrupting their day by shopping at their place of employment. So we all understand that you have to be a member to get in and showing that you are is a requirement. The bigger issue is getting out! Scan your card to purchase, okay no issue. But then to have ALL your items scanned again to get out the door is ridiculous. They'll tell you it's because of the high theft they experience and I have to call BS on that. You have multiple employees walking throughout the store, cameras in all the blind spots and still you have that high of a theft problem? There's a bigger issue there. If your statistical analysis is that you need to harass the paying customers because your security sucks, then that is an issue and if your losses are that huge, I suggest you need to look inside as well. Your corporation advocates "Scan and Go" and self checkout but then locally you alienate the consumer. read more

Tire and auto services specifically have been a poorly organized outfit. My wife's car needed new tires and a fresh set of sensors. on the day of installation the sensors were available but their computer that programs them were not. We we're quoted a ballpark of $34 to install the sensors at which point my wife and father in law wanted them to verify that price because it seemed much lower than normal. The associate assured us that was going to be the rate because we were having to wait longer for the sensors and make a followup appointment. The car had to be brought back in the same day because the back tires were too low on air and the front left was not installed correctly causing it to drop to a dangerously low pressure putting my wife and toddler at risk while on the road. Two days later I return to get the sensor job done and come to find out that $34 rate was meant for each tire. Dont come here to get auto work done unless you're prepared to do multiple followup trips and receive poor communication. read more

I usually don't like to complain but today's experience was not too pleasant. The Gentle at the door was polite and me and my wife only purchased a whole chicken and mouthwash. When we got to the register the gentlemen told us we have to transfer goods from one cart to the cart at the register. We also had 4 empty boxes. I don't mind being told what to do but the guy seemed condescending by telling us that anytime you check out that you had to put the items in another cart by the register. I am not a 10 years and do not need a lecture. When we got to the exit door, the lady was the same lady that stared us down when we came in to separate occasions for picking up empty boxes and not purchasing anything. If we have to make a purchase to get empty boxes, just tell us and not stare at us. Today, as soon as she seen us she made a face, she was polite with the customer ahead of us but here mood changed when it was our time to check out. Either she is still upset that we got boxes without purchases or she does not like Asians. People like these two need to be stocking shelves with no customer contact. Thank you read more

I am a Sam's Club member just because there is not a Costco in Columbus. They have recently built a Costco in Peachtree City and I am going to join that one and cancel my Sam's Club membership. The staff in the Columbus Sam's are rude and most act like they don't want to be there. If you don't want to work dealing with the public then don't. Find something else to do. i order stuff online every once and a while to avoid having to go there in person but Costco offers the same service. My advice is to drive to Costco in Peachtree City or order the stuff from Costco online and avoid Sam's at all cost. read more

My husband worked at another Sam's location for 3 years, was their best forklift driver, regularly doing 15-25 aisles a day, complaining when he got home bc nobody else cared that he was working his ass off while other forklift drivers did maybe 2-5 aisles in that same time (he stays in touch w friends there - they now have to regularly stay over their shift for hours to catch up). According to Sam's corporate, their policy is that after being fired, you can reapply after 30 days. Which he did; he was unfortunately fired for having too many points bc of mental health issues while we were in the process of trying to buy/sell our house to move 4 hours away. This club and another location both immediately called him for interviews in a panic, the AU location offered him the job and then rescinded their offer, which we can only figure is bc of talking to the Columbus location where the hiring manager said she would have to immediately fire him bc of the points. It seems like in this work shortage, a quality, experienced forklift driver would be desirable. To offer and then rescind a position is gauche and absurd in this economy. We are all struggling, Sam's clubs included as is evident by all the open positions, so a little mercy in hard times would be appreciated. We will not shop in a Sam's club ever again. The warehouse is always clean, the selection is fantastic & the customer service is the best I've ever experienced at a Walmart-owned business. I purchased a full set of tires at the tire center & had a wonderful experience. The member discounts are amazing, the work was done quickly but well and the tire center staff is so helpful & friendly. read more

If you happen to get one of the nice customer services people here they are exceptional, but sadly few and far between. My daughter and husband went to Sams today and decided to get a snack. They were out of churro's (it always seems to be one thing or another that they don't have, or maybe they didn't feel like heating up that day), so they asked for frozen yogurt. The picture shown is what was handed to my daughter. She watched as the lady started to pour it correctly, then seemed to lose interest and wanted to hurry, thus the finished product! There was no attempt to clean it up, no apology, and no explanation as to why she would hand someone not only a half empty ice cream, but one so obviously messy. I'm really not sure if you could try any harder to deliver such poor service. read more

My family has used sams club for years, and never had a problem. At this location Tre in the tire department was nothing but rude to my wife upon arrival. Then when the vehicle was done, Tre and his crew didn't call for another hour and 40 minutes leaving my wife stuck in the store the entire time. The difference between Sam's Club and Costco is quality. Costco quality is far superior in terms of products and service. At Costco, they take back returned items without asking you any questions. The folks behind the desks address you as "sir" and "ma'am." At Sam's Club, they ask you all kinds of questions when you return items and address you as "sweetie" or "sugar." Price difference is nearly negligible. Products at Sam's club often appear cheap or the box that they come in are ripped and worn. Costco isn't perfect either but they usually do a better job at presentation. Unfortunately there is no Costco in Columbus, but if you are a member you can still buy everything from them online with free shipping. Everything else, I'm getting from Walmart. The $100 annual charge from Sam's Club just isn't worth it. read more

These people are great. They try hard to please. I have been a member since the mayor wore diapers. The cashiers and all others that work there are as sweet as can be. The store is pleasant to shop in. I ask that they be very careful about letting people in who wear racial hateful t-shirts. It seems to be a big thing here in Columbus, GA against whites. I see the nasty hateful writings in restaurants, stores, hospitals, CT Scan and labs in Columbus. They are offensive to whites if you care anything about your customers. I have been a customer for Sam's club for long time. Never had an issue before than today. I bought some water and the smell/taste is inconsistent with previous water. I have been drinking the same brand of water for ever, so i do know that something is not right. i feel that the quality of water has changed. So I purchased my tires here and they mounted them and everything minus alignment because they said they didn't do that. Took my car to delearship for service only to find out that Sams mounted one of my tires facing the wrong direction‍ who knew. Well needless to say I came twice in one day for them to fix it however they are to busy to fix what they did incorrectly the first time so I should make an appointment (figure that one out looking dumb founded). But the entire time I'm keeping my cool. I go home and come back bright and early the next day and finally someone helps to correct their mistake. Had to replace one of my tires due to a nail in the side wall. Took it to Sams in the back of my van with the donut on. They got me in fast which I appreciated but watched as he stuck the donut in the rear of the van instead of dropping the pan underneath the van. Kinda tricky to find it and I guess they just didn't know where it was. Kinda fun to watch through the window. Anyway they did a good job and I greatly appreciate it. My wife and I had a Sams Club membership over a year ago, but only went once during that time. Since I'm in that area more these days we got another membership. Only to be told they were out of cards. I went back a second time and they gave me a temp card and I can only assume that the one with my pic is in the mail; since they didn't actually say that. But, the biggest disappointment is with what we thought was a perk, at first. The scan and pay with you phone app so you don't have wait in the cashier lane. But, you still have to wait in the receipt checker lane. They scan your q-code, count your things and your out the door. However, after purchasing $800 worth of flooring the scanner was out. So, we had to wait for about 15 mins with all the others that used the same app. Just to be told that they couldn't get it to work we would have to go back and scan everything or leave. We chose to leave. That was three days ago and the amount is still pending. I'm not happy. They need a backup system. They only get the two stars because at least you really get a good deal on gas. read more

When it comes to tires, GO ELSEWHERE. After one lug nut had to be Broken off because they "did not have the ability to remove it" I called Pep Boys to have them fix the one that was broken and after taking my car there, I found out that Sam's Club had stripped three additional Lug nuts that didn't even tell me of, making my car extremely unsafe to drive. Also my tires that were less than 24 hours on my car and were very unbalanced and shaking on the interstate. Not an issue that was there before they put tires on the car. I am giving this a two star review instead of one because after I went into Sam's Club, a manager did not question me just asked for my work orders and the price I paid and refunded me for it. I was very glad that I did not have to argue over this, I am Assuming this has happened more than once before. Once I left there, I went to go get gas. The fuel attendant was short with me because I said I was having a bad day and I blamed it all on Sam's, he then cut me short and walked away and then proceeded to repeat what I stated to another member and laugh about it as if I could not hear him or like I had driven away already. I will NEVER RETURN TO Sam's club for tire service or anything else. I cannot believe how unsafe they returned my car to me and the amount of rudeness from the fuel attendant. read more

I have never been a big fan of Sam's but it is all we have in the area. Prior to today it has been a great experience-good variety of items and good prices for bulk. I decided that I wanted to try the pick up, so I placed my order online yesterday at 11am. Using the app was very easy. It was advertised that if an order was placed before 3pm that day it would be eligible for same day pickup. When I went to choose my pickup time only the following day (today) was available starting at 3-4pm. I chose this time so I could get home in enough time to get my daughter started with school work and get dinner started. I arrived here at 3:30 and was told they were very behind and that my order had not been started yet. I was offered to sit in the food court and they would come get me when it was completed. It is now 4:30 and my order is still not completed. I could have gone and gotten the items myself and left by now. Very unsatisfied. Definitely won't be doing this again. read more
