This Sam's Club seems to be a little on the smaller side, but was still well stocked. They seem to be embracing AI as there was a robot wandering throughout the store cleaning the floors. It was a bit odd though as the store was quite busy and it did interfere in the shopping experience as it would stop and start, often in the way of customers. There was only one checkout with a cashier open that had an extremely long line. While not a fan of self checkout, there were many registers open for that. Exiting the store appears to be AI enhanced as no human asked for a receipt when exiting. Just an average shopping experience lacking the human touch. read more

Drove 50 minutes to pick up an online order. Your app was down (again), so I had to call the store THREE times before someone answered. I was assured they would let pick up know we were there. 30 minutes later, after all the other cars that came after us left, the woman bringing out orders tapped in the window to find out what was going on. After 40 minutes we were on our way home. When we arrived home 6 of our 13 items were missing. I tried calling the store again and again and again. No answer (which is very typical at the Rib Mountain location). I called the 800 number where the AI assistant told me I did not have a membership under my zip code and the website told me I don't have an account under my email. So after nearly an hour I finally managed to get a human via the 800 number who helped process a refund for the items that we now have to go out and buy at a higher cost. We have to drive a little over an hr to get to this Sam's Club. We would rather go to a Costco but the closest one is 2.5 hrs away. This Sam's has limited organic fruits and vegetables and doesn't have a lot of the products I would normally get at Costco all the time like Kerry Gold butter, dark sugar free chocolate chips, Fire roasted diced tomatoes, hard boiled peeled eggs etc. The one thing they do have is delicious fresh squeezed orange juice. This trip there was only one register open with a cashier and there were 16 full carts in line! There were self serve check outs but nobody wants to check themselves out with a cart full. I went out to the car to wait for my husband to check out. I noticed other couples did the same thing. No sense for both to stand in line for 30 minutes to get checked out. My husband asked an employee who was walking by if he could please open another lane and he said he was on his way to do just that. The employee apologized and told my husband they are short staffed and can't find enough people to hire. My husband complimented the clerk who checked him out as the line was non stop for her. read more

usually i have a good experience at Sam's Club Wausau, WI. Last night I chose to pay cash for my purchases (10 items) and Amanda did the checkout. TO MY SURPRISE, ONE ITEM WAS NOT ON THE RECEIPT. So i was stoped at the exit and questioned whether i did self checkout- AS IF I AM A SHOPLIFTER. It was very embarrassing while others were in line behind me waiting longer. I have been a member of Sam's Club for many years & although not the best shopping experience every time, they did fill the need. In the last year or so, they have changed so much & become so very rude. when I walked in the last time, a young girl was standing just inside the door & looked at me & said, "either plan to pay digitally or we don't need your business". I was so shocked, I couldn't believe that anyone would speak to someone that way. No, I didn't receive a welcome or a hello, just a plan how to pay. I asked her if she would get me a copy of Sam's Club bylaws as being a business member, I know that when I originally signed up or each year when I renew, there has never been any mention of having to be digital. She just told me to get them myself. Then when I got to the checkout, there was a very unprofessional 8 1/2 x 11 paper taped to the post that said "check or cash only". I mentioned that I have a business membership & that I have always paid with a credit card for tax purposes. She said I need to go to self checkout. I told her that I didn't care for self checkout as it makes me feel like they want my money but not have to deal with me. She just looked at me & wouldn't start checking me out so i said "I will pay with cash". when she had me all checked out, I just shoved my credit card into the terminal & it was accepted. she never said another word to me but had a very red face, she was upset!!!. To think of all the money I have spent there only to be treated like an animal, I will never go back. the road trip to Appleton to Cosco & Woodman's will be a relaxing trip knowing that I do not have to go back to Sam's Club. I usually love shopping at Sams club. But lately I've been avoiding it. The location is clean and well staffed. They have many options for seasonal items. However there is one employee there that I dread having to deal with. She normally runs self check out. I understand they need to push the advanced membership (which I have) and the credit card, but she is overly pushy. The last few times I went she sat by me and my kids for over 5 minutes trying to get me to get the card. Even after I told her no many times. When my husband was there she had him apply without fully explaining what she was doing. When he realized he was filling out the application it was already to late and his credit took a hit. We have on MANY occasions informed her no, but she doesn't seem to like that answer. I've even gone as far as explaining to her that my credit is to low for a card right now, and I'll be auto denied. She will ignore customers who actually need assistants with checking out and continue to try to harass others into signing up. The last time I was there I needed an age check for alcohol and waited over 10 minutes for help. Me and another couple both tried to get her attention with no success. We ended up having to find another person. I've made complaints but the management hasn't done anything. She honestly just makes me extremely uncomfortable and makes me dread going to the store anymore. May end up skipping the self check out from now on if I have to go to Sams. So just beware. Don't fill out any information she asks you to, unless you want a new credit card or a ding to your credit. And be ready to be continuously harassed. read more

Talk about a waste of time. Dont offer pick up between 7pm-8pm if you're not going to allow customers to pick up. Got there at 730pm and was informed they were closed. I am a huge fan of Sam's Club. They have lots of food in bulk, electronics, and occasionally free samples. You need a membership card to get in, but the deals you find are worth it. This store is meant for families to buy everything in bulk. There is anything and everything from shampoo and conditioner to meat and seafood. It's comparable to Costco. They have a mini food court with frozen yogurt, Icees, sundaes, soda, pizza, hot dogs, etc. They have bathrooms tucked away in the back, and the employees are always pretty friendly. read more
