It went on for uncomfortable minutes and I just started shouting him down to stop yelling at her. He was such a jerk. Then he started yelling at me that he would do whatever he wanted in his store and to see what happened if I kept telling him what to do in his own store. I am happy to buy my liquor from any of his 25 local competitors, and hope he loses more customers every time someone reads this review and every time he opens his mouth to berate his employees like an unprofessional bully.

We wanted to try a bottle of wine, and he ordered a case for us. We said we just wanted to have one bottle and he got it for us anyway. Several years ago we ordered mini bottles of wine from him for our wedding. He gave us a great price and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. Aside from all that, Jay knows just about every customer by name! He greets everyone when they come in, and treats them like gold. He is a very kind individual. They also remove the prices off their wine bottles so the bottle has a nice look if you are bringing it out or giving it as a gift. If I had one negative thing to say it would be that the prices are slightly higher than the surrounding liquor stores, but not by much.

This is a great little local liquor store with great customer service. I love that I can walk…read morearound and check out the available stock of wines and such without being bothered, they do of course ask if they can assist in finding something in particular. During the summer time I was super happy that they carried the "Not Your Fathers Root Beer and Vanilla Creme Ale" which are DELICIOUS. So many other places run out of stock but not Farmingdale Liquor- plenty of stock. Stop in and check it out.
