It's an…read moreair-conditioned mini-mall right across the street from the Columbia Heights metro stop, including Washington Sports Club, Target, Best Buy, Marshalls, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Perfumania. The Target also has a Starbucks inside it. (Payless recently closed down, and Staples closed a while ago.) It also has a big enclosed parking garage, with elevator access to the stores. Detractions include a bizarre lack of cell phone service in patches, especially in the stores farthest from the street (lookin' at you, Marshalls). The place can also get crowded, most of all on weekends. And sometimes the escalators are broken, but the tend to get fixed within a day or two. Overall, right in the middle for shopping centers, but there are few like it in such a central area of the district, so it'll probably survive for a long time coming.

I did not get her name because I could care less, however, if you do read this and you visit this store, you will pick up quick who I am talking about. It's not hard to be nice and polite. However, in this store you do not get this kind of RESPECTFUL treatment. No one will greet or ask if you need assistance. When I walked into the store, I knew what I was going to buy, but when I did ask for something guess what happen, the manager caught an attitude and rolled her eyes. I was still polite and said thank you and she did not reply. Instead she walked away with her chin so high and looked very bothered. The pros of this is store is the cleanliness, and everything is organized. The cons is the employee customer service is negative and just lost a customer.

She is grounded and helpful and makes the tasks of finding a perfect bra for you her goal! From a customer/employee standpoint she can "read the room" and really gives you whatever services style you desire. The first time i met her I wanted to be in/out and didn't even wanna explore and she was helpful and made it fast, then this time i had more time and i loved that she listened to how I wanted the bra to feel/fit and she had me try on a few to see what i was working with and then said Ill be back and had 4 perfect options for me! She wasn't pushy or overbearing , she asked permission to help me adjust into my bra properly (i have a very full bust) and as some who dreads bra shopping with a large chest she made me feel seen and comfortable. And again aside from this experience i always find this store very chill and helpful when i do pop in. This is exactly the customer service I expect when shopping at luxury department stores! Thank you for the consistency in customer service.

This review is not specifically for a Bloomingdale's store, it's more about Bloomingdale's overall…read more I ordered three pairs of men's hokas running shoes online, but they only shipped two pairs. I have called their customer service number multiple times and filed multiple claims. However, Bloomingdale's will not issue a refund or a replacement because they say that since the package arrived, there's nothing they can do. The other thing they can't do is provide proof that all three pairs of shoes ended up being shipped. Their system is horrible because you can't actually talk to the people who review the claims. If I could give them zero stars, I would. p. s. If you want an actual person to review your claim with Bloomingdale's and not a bot, you have to call their number. If you submit it online, it will just be auto reviewed by a bot.

This Target definitely serves its purpose in this area. With that, this store is almost always…read moreextremely packed. You have to go with the hustle and bustle and hope that you don't forget anything. On top of that, you really have to pay attention to see where departments are in this store. I had several items I knew I needed to get and I didn't want to make anymore stops than I needed to on my way home. Plus, I had a plan to stay in all weekend and this would fulfill that plan as well. I came in and darted to areas that I knew I needed to go to. I was amazed by the fact that everything I needed was stocked and available. I made it a point to not get a cart or basket because I didn't need to buy anything just because I saw. Using only my hands to grab the items helped in this train of thought. You can only carry so many items and this limited me to impulse buying. Then I got to the registers and this is where it kind of turns into the hunger games. You can either take your chances and stand in one of the two long lines at registers that are manned. Or you can stand in line at the self checkouts and hope that the people in front of you know how to use them and use them fast. I chose the latter and almost regretted this as the people in front of me were slower than I expected. I did end up getting through my own checkout quickly and since I had my own bag ready, I was out of that area and on my way back out. Why the freight elevator is at the entrance of this place, I don't know, as it is a big obstacle to go around when entering and exiting. And the exit side is almost always littered with people that you have to sidestep with the best of them.

I proceeded to exit and tried to scan my receipt. When it didn't take, I called on the help button for assistance. Explaining I shopped at the store and was trying to validate my parking. I was informed they don't validate and I had to pay. I would not be using their parking facility if I wasn't shopping at target. I paid but I will not return, that's terrible service!
