Kenny did respond several times saying he had not forgotten about me and would be there but never showed. I had to hire another company to grind the stump that I paid Gloriosso to do and emailed Gerry for a refund for the stump grinding, still no response.

The second time in April 2024, Kenny quoted us for tree removal and stump grinding. They worked with us on scheduling around rain and had great communication for tree removal part of the job. But the day before tree removal Kenny said their stump grinder was broken and they couldn't do stump grinding. After removing the tree, he asked if I was comfortable paying for the tree removal part of the job they completed, which I agreed. Kenny said they would follow-up with stump grinding "tomorrow," but it was no-call/no-show. Then it was "next week," then again it was "we're busy with storm damage, first thing next week." I was pushed off for "next week" until after many weeks Kenny no longer responded via text. Glorioso Tree Service completed the work I paid them for, but I was led on for weeks on stump grinding that never happened. I had to hire another contractor to finish the job.

Always keep that in mind as you maintain your landscaping. Living an a 30 year old subdivision, our trees are definitely mature and prominent when viewing our house. Along with shading the house during the hot summer, they also provide some level of protection from high winds and ice storms. They can also increase the resale value of the property by adding stand out curb appeal. The majestic oak dominating the front yard, and the fragile Bradford pear near the curb, are like welcoming old friends as we enter the driveway. All the more reason to take care of them. When we first moved in over 12 years ago I called a guy whose business card was posted on the bulletin board at a local supermarket. His price seemed affordable, and he showed up pretty much on time. But when he left the tree looked like a bad barber college haircut! We also noticed the leaves dropping in groups and taking longer than other oaks in the neighborhood. We also experienced more broken limbs in the yard through out the winter. After a bit of research, I found that most tree trimmers were not certified Arborists (full trained professionals), and even fewer had the proper equipment to do the job safely and properly. The cost was bout the same as the guy with the F-150 pickup truck and chainsaw, but the analysis was more detailed and comforting. So the deal was struck! They showed up on time, with the proper equipment, and once again took me through all the proposed work for approval before starting. Needless to say, over the past few years (and many times I have called them back), we have been more than satisfied with continued attractiveness of our landscape and still consider it a true long term investment. Recommended? Without question! NEXT DAY UPDATE Opening up Facebook this morning I was overwhelmed by the number of photos of downed trees and fences. Since we had our mature trees trimmed yesterday, I wanted to see how they stood up to the 60 mph winds last night! To my amazement there wahs not a single broken limb in the yard! Even our 30 year old Bradford Pear tree near the driveway was standing proudly intact. Others in the neighborhood were not so fortunate, so I guess we have been doing something right! So yes, quality maintenance by true professionals can be critical to protecting your investment in landscaping. Kudo's to the folks at Arbor Mastes!

I've been following Colonial Gardens on social media for a while and they have some fun events . I…read morefinally made it to one, plant bingo. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was so fun, that I attended a second time in the same month. The event is held in their greenhouse, which makes the perfect backdrop for this event. You play three rounds of bingo with three cards each round, and each game has one plant prize, so one winner. There's a Plant Bar serving cocktails and popcorn, plus a coffee shop on site with small bites available during the event. Jessica, the events coordinator, is friendly and fun. After all games are played you have time to shop. I went during January and there wasn't an abundance of plants and flowers, but I'm looking forward to spring to check out the greenhouse when it is blooming.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the job took a couple of days longer than expected. The crew was easy to work with and kept me informed if there might be an issue in certain spots. Fence looks great and matches our neighbors fence which Rhodes also put in a few years back. Value was good for the materials and the time spent to install.
