For example; in the entire gym there is but one dip machine...and the treadmills pretty much don't work. They are all walking speed even at 7 and above. Except for the four incline ones at the end for now... The equipment isn't maintained well so you run into a few broken or on the verge of breaking ones. Now it's not on the level of LA Fitness but it's giving LA Fitness energy, not that LA Fitness isn't a decent gym just not my cup of tea (if you know, you know). Lastly please for the love of love, put ESPN on at least 3 of the ten thousand TVs in there, you can watch but some much of the OneLife channel. I'd even settle for the fishing channel. All that said, the energy in the gym is nice, I always see the same trainers putting in work, and again location location ‍.

No one puts any of their equipment away, no one cleans their equipment with the wipes that are provided, and you can't walk from one side of the gym to the other without being in someone's way who is filming! I've never seen any of the staff make any attempt to remedy the situations either. I am always having to unload equipment before I use it and people walk away right in front of you and say "I am done" or It's all yours" and make no attempt to clean their sweat and germs of the equipment. I travel a little bit and frequent other gyms and I've never seen the level of disrespect members have for themselves and others at the Douglasville location. I can't speak for their other locations but come on management, you guys have to have a way to approach this situation right? I am now having to purchase my own equipment ( barbell locks, cable handles, and neck pads, just to save myself the time of wandering around the gym trying to find stuff.

The personal training rates are also very reasonable, and overall, the vibe is exactly what I look for in a gym. You can tell most people are there to actually work out--not just hang around, socialize, or hold up equipment. I really appreciate being in an environment where people are focused, respectful, and using the gym for what it's meant for. Some of the equipment already has cracked pads which is a huge pet peeve of mine. When you have annual membership fees this should never happen. There are several machines here that they don't have at other locations, however it was lacking in abdominal machines. The overall pool area is nice but the hot tub had the weakest jets I have ever experienced. This is the only One Life I've been to that has a steam room. That was nice! The showers were GROSS and showed plenty of mold. There were also three ends of exposed screws by the soap holder that will scratch you. Like I said this experience was a roller coaster! The hydro massage was nice and that area was clean. I will come back.

If you read through the recommendations, most of them are just "Just signed up, seems nice". Wait until you try to leave. They will use every stall and delay tactic possible to get another billing cycle out of you. My wife had a personal trainer through them, which isn't cheap. When she cancelled that, they had her sign a form. A week or two later, we get another bill from them that we thought was a bill because we cancelled in the middle of a billing cycle. A month later, we get another bill from them. We go into the location and they say they dont have the paperwork and act like we should have taken a picture of it since they didn't give us a copy of the paperwork. (I fully believe if we had taken a picture, they would have said "Well that's just a picture, its not official") At this point we both wanted to cancel our memberships because of how they acted. To do this, you have to call some individual in the corporate office. That guy doesn't answer the phone and then you have to send him an email and wait and hope and pray he actually reads and processes it in good faith so this company will quit leaching money from your bank account. Honestly, leaving this gym is like escaping a cult. Instead of joining this gym, just run. Run as far as you can in the other direction and you'll be in a lot better shape both physically and mentally.

The hot tub is about 4 feet to the right when you exit the women's locker room. without a barrier or signage, someone could easily slip into the empty hot tub and fall directly onto the tile. Additionally, there are towels laying in the hot tub that look like they've been there a long time. It's simply gross. So in addition to the safety hazard, it's a real eye sore as well.

I am not referring to the common practice of recording short clips on a personal phone. I am referring to multi-camera setups, including what appeared to be a live stream today. Many members value privacy and do not consent to being recorded, particularly in a space where people are focused on training and may feel vulnerable. A gym should remain a respectful, safe environment for everyone. Front-desk staff appear constrained by OneLife's current corporate policy permitting this type of filming. I would appreciate it if management would reconsider or clarify the guidelines around tripod and multi-camera use to better protect members' privacy and access to equipment. When I visit my family, it is normally for a week per trip, so I pop in here and purchase a week pass. Sadly they have recently gone up 60% in price from $25 to $40 for the week. Seems like a huge jump, so if I am unable to commit to every day of my visit, I no longer purchase. The gym is a great size with a great layout and mix of equipment and clearly defined areas. It is two levels with the upstairs being fully reserved for cardio equipment. There is a small space on the first floor that has cardio if stairs are on issue. Machines are in the front part of the main space, while free weights line the back mirrored walls with all varieties of benches, racks, medicine balls, ropes and circuit style accessories. Majority of the equipment and free weights are in rough shape, no pun intended. For the cable machine, most of the accessories are missing all or a portion of the grips, numbers on the weights have rubbed off and seating is worn. This continues through the gym and is noticeable on several machines and free weights/benches. Outside of weights, they do offer tanning, water massage beds, a pool, classes and a juice/protein shake bar. Service is okay. Front desk staff are never really engaging or welcoming, which is odd for a new person walking in to pay for one week what others pay for a month. Overall, I may be spoiled by my home gym, but Onelife Fitness leaves a bit to be desired.

There's plenty of equipment, and it's easy to maneuver through the facility even when it's busy. Busiest times from my experience: Weekdays after 5pm, and Saturdays before 1pm. Least busy times: Weekdays between 10am and 5pm. I like using the Cinema room for cardio because it's not crowded most of the time. It gets a little chilly in there so wearing a hoodie and waist trainer helps with staying warm and working up a good sweat. Downside: They don't offer a lot of classes and the times could be set up better to accommodate more members.
