First class facility available now in the little league baseball capital of the US here in East Cobb. I did not know what to expect as the last time I was here was under a different business name. DBat has transformed the place from the entry way with pro shop to the actual cages that encompass the entire warehouse. I took my son for a lesson over there, and they did an excellent job. It seems they have a lot of quality instructors if you need one. The batting cages with machines are easy to operate and have different zones for either baseball or softball. They even have a group in there providing speed and agility training for a variety of sports. This is a great place for adults and kids and I highly recommend it.

Nice building at a great location in Smyrna. When I attended, there were several events going on…read moresimultaneously, Dollshow, Health and Beauty Show, Basket Ball Game and something else. The building was clean and a lift for a wheelchair was available for the lower event area. The Center is surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. Parking was not bad if you can walk across the street. Also handicap parking was right by the entrance. Actually the building had more than one entrance. This place is worth checking out if you are looking for a event venue.

From the time I made the first call to Lee, who handles the events at the center, I appreciated how friendly and helpful he was. He explained the rates of each room, how pricing works, what is and is not allowed in the event space, and let me know when I could come in for a tour. We stopped by a little after 7 one night to see the room and the guy working the front desk was more than happy to show us the room we were interested in reserving and answered all our questions. The next day, I spoke with Lee and reserved the space. It was a super easy process and I appreciated that he always responded very quickly if I had any questions. There were plenty of room options to host an event and the cost was very budget friendly. On the day of our event, things were flawless. We had no problem getting access to the room when we arrived on the day of our event and the room was already setup just as I discussed with Lee. The rooms are nice and spacious and the center has recently undergone a renovation so the rooms and bathrooms are updated and look much different than they do on their website. There is plenty of parking nearby and it's pretty easy to find the building. A really good experience and if I ever need a space for an event, I'll be sure to check out the community center first!

We called the number on the front door multiple times and no one answered the phone. We waited for almost 20 minutes and no response. We called the enrollment specialist back and rescheduled the appointment for 7/14 at 1:30. We arrived on time and once again no one answered the door or the phone. The classrooms in the front looked deserted but we could see the sign in sheets through the window had a bunch of kids signed in for yesterday and today so I'm confused as to where all the kids and adults were two days in a row. My husband and I were excited to find a daycare near our house with a decent rate but we will not be returning to this location. This was a very unprofessional and alarming visit.

None of the other centers were open, but my husband was asked to help set up some of the classrooms so that families who needed day care could rely on this center. My husband, having served in the military, felt it was his duty to get this program going for those who had to return to work during the pandemic. In addition to opening the center, he has also worked as a bus driver for several years. He put his own health, and possibly his life at risk, for this corporation. He enjoys story telling and sharing his love of art with children. He has also bonded with many of the families. Everything was going well until two ladies from the head office showed up last week and informed the staff that they would no longer have a full time cook or substitutes when teachers are out. The cook, who was a wonderful lady, also filled in so that other staff members could have a lunch break. My husband was told that he is now only the bus driver. He is no longer allowed to sub in Pre-k. This was truly his passion! The appalling thing is that the director and the book keeper were told that they would now have to cook, fill in when teachers are out, order food, serve food and cover rooms when teachers are on break. This ...in addition to their regular duties with no extra pay. I know that the director spends many Saturday mornings at the center just trying to catch up on the work she already has. All of this, just so the corporation can save a few dollars on salaries. If I were a parent, I would be angered to know that my child was getting a sub standard lunch because this cooperation is too cheap to pay a full time cook. Anyone who is thinking about putting their child in this day care, needs to think again. These day care workers, who have put their heart and soul into this establishment do not deserve to be treated in this manner by the ' higher ups" who are only interested in lining their own pockets.

As soon as you step onto the property, you automatically exhale, the body naturally relaxes and a big smile spreads across your face.  My 4 year old recently attended the Sunny Brook Stables Spring Camp and had an absolute blast. Not only is the farm setting, with the 14 horses, clucking ducks and chickens, munching goats and pot bellied pigs incredibly idyllic, but the people working there are also all so wonderfully warm and welcoming! My 4 year old quickly bonded with her camp counselor Trinity who is full of bubbles of laughter, warmth, enthusiasm and joy! My daughter has been constantly talking about her experiences there since and repeatedly asking to return. She attended on the recommendation of an older friend, and we're so happy we listened. You'll find that if you go on our recommendation, you too will soon be highly recommending it to others!

Dr. Holman was very kind and considered and interviewed me. She took time out of her busy schedule to interview me and watch me ride, even though she didn't really need assistance. Small stable, and maybe not the best for birthday parties, but a kind staff and beautiful horses.

For being a place for creative oulets, you'd think they'd pick a more creative name than....The Art…read morePlace. But honestly I don't blame them. I think this place has been around since forever, right behind the Mountain View Library. They offer painting, sketching, clay, theatre, and music classes; I tend to find that it's more theatrics than actual drawing classes offered. I've stayed away from acting and music, but they have productions and dinner&shows every season for the public to go to, at $5-$15 per show. The classes are great- but it really depends on your class, really. I've only taken painting, portraiture, and clay, and clay was the worst of them all. Enjoyable? Yes. Would I do it again? No. I don't even remember the instructor's name. My only quip is that for each class, the fees never seem to end. Registration (late or early), actual class fees, baking fees, and oh, the -supplies-! The supplies list never ends, I swear. For pencil portraiture, I thought you bring a pencil and eraser, and a pad. False, it's like 20 different types of pencils, graphite, special erasers left and right, specially bound pads, tissue paper, paper stubs, special ink pens and tips, and oh my god, these things cost a fortune! I just want to draw! Ahem, anyway, the painting guy was ok, but the star of the show is Kip Rogers- after all these years (it's been like 10), I still remember how well he taught his classes and I want to go back, even if this place is about a solid 45 minute drive from where I live now. His class is 95 for first timers and 70 for returners. At that price, it's a freaking steal! (Well, at least for that class....) The Art Place is a special place to me- back when I still drew all over the place, I had been able to be part of some of the shows there, and I appreciated that. You could always walk in and see art from the locals. After all these years, the many of the artists teaching there are still there. Now on to convincing the boyfriend to take these classes with me....

Firstly, you don't send out an email 33 days before the new year to tell your members you're raising rates when they have 30 days to cancel due to the contract. Doing this during the Thanksgiving holiday season made it worse. An ethical business would let your members know well ahead of time. Secondly, every time you go, something is broken. The steam room was down for over 2.5 months. They fixed it and then it broke again. Then the pool was down twice in less than a month. I have also seen an instructor grab a child by his shirt to lift him out of the shallow end. If you raise the issue with the aquatics director, it's a waste of breath, because nothing will change. If your child takes lessons on the weekend, there is no one above age twenty, even managing the staff. Just because they're physically capable of passing swimming tests doesn't mean they're mature or possess any skills in communicating effectively with children. The wellness center is okay, but don't bother leaving a comment card or making a friendly suggestion. If the Y didn't think it up, it ain't happening. Don't expect the person at the wellness desk to do anything. It's just a young, apathetic person, who thinks he is paid, just to sit there and scroll through his telephone.
