Terrible doctor and office. He fails to acknowledge serious complications. I would never recommend his service to anyone.

So, I have 100 reasons not to come here but I'll just summarize for you. 1 - Your first visit they'll require you to change your insurance to Blue Shield and make you stay at the office on hold until the change is complete and confirmed - about 3 hours. 2 - They make you sign a paper saying you'll only go to Palmdale regional hospital for care if you need emergency care or labor and delivery, BECAUSE THEY NO LONGER HAVE PRIVILEGES AT AV HOSPITAL. If that isn't a sign of how shitty of people they are idk what is. 3 - You can't bring your kid/kids , they'll send you home or cancel your appointment. (It's a fucking obgyn - they birth babies and refuse to see you if you bring your children) & you can't bring your husband/man/partner either (post-Covid) 4 - The ultrasound tech will LOSE HER SHIT if you even text your husband/partner during the ultrasound. She kicked me out because I was texting my husband telling him I couldn't call him in there (per her request) and she lost it and kicked me out. 5 - The nurses and doctors park by the doors so you're forced to park all the way towards the back and walk pregnant af to the front door. 6 - They overbook LIKE CRAZY , appointments take 3-4 hours just for a simple check. The doctors are rushed and you barely see them for 3 minutes at most. 7 - the young nurses are beyond rude and disrespectful. They're unkind and judgy. They treat you like shit and barely even say hello when you walk in. 8 - Dr Sammy Farid is never there so if you have him as your doctor, good luck you'll never meet him. He'll make sure he's there to deliver your baby though , he wants the $$$$. read more

Our first appointment was suppose to be for a ultra sound, they completely or purposely fail to mention all of their restrictions as far as what they do on sight. They will just give you a date and time to show up without telling you what to expect for that appointment, they dont forget to mention for you to bring your id and insurance card so they can run your insurance, they really just want to run your insurance so they can get their $60 and refer you to another DR. No service was provided, Weight wasnt checked, blood pressure wasn't checked. tired of seeing places like this pretending about being for the people but nothing from the experience that made us feel like they cared at all. take the time to call around and save yourself a huge waste of time by going here. read more

Be prepared to wait AT LEAST an hour after your appointment time to have vitals done and more than two hours to be seen by any nurse or Dr. COVID-19 guidelines are not being followed, as they pack the waiting rooms and I've never seen anything sanitized. They overbook and are unable to manage the amount of patients they have. They've even mismanaged my blood work twice. The doctors are friendly but rushed and don't expect any of your calls to be answered or returned by the front desk. If you're able to go elsewhere, don't waste your time here. read more

My experience has been similar to many others on this site. The staff is unprofessional, disorganized, and think it's funny to make jokes about denying your insurance coverage. I had to make a separate trip, DURING A PANDEMIC, just to fill out paperwork to get an appointment, and then, I was never called as promised. When I arrived for my appointment, I was given another packet of paperwork which I could have filled out at home had they given it to me on my first visit. After I filled out (most of) the paperwork, I was taken in to have my stats done, and the technician asked me the same questions I had just answered in the packet. Most appalling was this: in over 40 years, I have never had a gynecologist ask me how many sexual partners I have had, but the question was in the medical history forms. Absolutely unnecessary, inappropriate, and degrading. They really should come into the 21st century and remove that question from their medical history forms. read more

If you can find another provider please do so. I was referred to this place by my physician, and what an unprofessional and inefficient place this is. 1st you can't make an appointment by phone. They will tell you you need to come in person to fill out some paperwork in order to request an appointment. 2nd after you do that you have to keep calling them because they never call back 3rd after I called them and finally got my appointment I showed up on the day of my appointment And they tell me I don't have an appointment and don't know anything about it. And on top of that while waiting on their waiting room employees are in the back arguing fighting and making a lot of drama. Extremely unprofessional on every single aspect. read more

Worst place ever. Was send here by my primary for some medical issues. This was back in june, made the appointment for july. They called to cancel the week before saying that the dr wont be in and i have to reschedule. Mind you i was send here for a serious issue. Told next appointment wont be until october. Set the appointment and in the mean time try to find another dr but insurance says this is my only option. The day before my appointment they call. I am thinking its to confirm. Nope they called to cancel. Claim the dr has been over booked and i need to be moved to november. Still having issues and now needing a blood transfusion since this is taking too long. Insurance sucks and still stuck waiting. November comes around and they called two days before and called to cancel again. Explained my issues and asked why is it so hard to be seen when my dr keeps pushing my referral as stat. Told pregnant women have priority and did I want the appointment in december or not. They were very rude and so I took it just so I didnt lose out on getting seen since I am still trying to get my insurance to find someone else since they claim there is no other dr. Now we are a week before my appointment and they call me to tell me that the dr wont be seeing me because he has too many patients and that since I have never seen them I am techinically a new patient and they arent excepting new patients. So unprofessional. God help you if you have a real medical issue because this office only takes pregnant patients. Not one of the desk people mentioned that to me when they asked me to come in and fill out paperwork. After turning it in, they promised me a phone call with an appointment. That phone call never happened. Even though my husband and I spent over a month trying to call them. They never picked up. They never returned a call. I instead received this news from my provider when I called them to complain. A well-deserved complaint. All doctors in the AV should know not to refer to this office. Pregnant or not. At 13 weeks pregnant I moved back to the AV from San Diego where I originally established my care. I had all my paper work and tests done and ready to hand over, as soon as I moved back I called this office to schedule an appointment and transfer care. At 15 weeks I was seen for a establishing care visit, after the visit I was placed with a doctor and set a new appointment. I had an appointment at 18 weeks I came to my first appointment which they ask me to reschedule because the doctor wouldn't be in in time, so I rescheduled for 21 weeks! I was super worried about not being seen for so long but they told me it would be fine, then when I show up at 21 weeks they told me they were no longer taking new patients and they had canceled my appointment and I would need to find a new doctor. I have now gone 7 weeks without care, at the fault of this office, they should have told me at 13 weeks that they would not be taking me as a patient. Completely unprofessional and neglectful! My most stressful pregnancy. 1st they take forever to see you 3-4 hour wait. My doctor is great but she's always rushed because she's overbooked. 2nd no one ever answers the phone . Takes me almost an hour just to get through. 3rd they don't let your partner support you in you during any of your visits. "Like they don't matter" So that seriously messes with you emotionally. My husband wants to be involved but he can't. We have to pay for an ultrasound elsewhere so he can see the baby we only done it once because it's expensive and it's something that he should be invited in at the time of scheduled ultrasounds! For starters, the receptionist is EXTREMELY rude. Sitting at the front she should at least act kind and needs a better attitude. Secondly, the wait is a long! But i do believe they see a lot of medi-cal patients, which I don't mind but it just seems like typically places that accept medi-cal always have a long wait. However the Dr is very kind as is the ultrasound technician. The nurses in the back are also very nice and do address your concerns and don't seem to rush through the visit. I feel for all the new and former mamas that come to this office. This office and the manager that runs it are all very unprofessional and rude to the moms that come here for care. I have personally witnessed multiple people tell the front office how inconsiderate they are to patient calls and in office care. They disregarded my needs as a new mom and did whatever they wanted even when I had requested specifics. They will leave you on hold for over 20 minutes and then hang up on you. This has happened multiple times to me personally. I even addressed the issues with the office manager and she didn't take responsibility for how her team operates, instead she hung up on me as well. They do the bare minimum to ensure the practice doesn't get shut down but eventually there will be enough complaints that they will get shut down. STEER CLEAR of this practice if you can. No new mom deserves to feel like she's not being heard or cared for properly ESPECIALLY if it's her first child. This office is an example of people who don't actually appreciate the job they do and the moms they help but are only really in it for the money that's made. They would not be up and running if it wasn't for the moms that have no choice but to be seen at their facility. Truly praying no mom dies while in their care because of the lack of care. read more

First of all Good things are worth the wait! This facility is well worth the wait! Doctor Gendy and staff are absolutely brilliant! Words don't describe the amazing detail and attention they give to each patient, yes you may wait awhile in the office but each patient is treated like a person not a number. Nurse Jasmine stole my heart with her readiness to help going above and beyond plus amazing personality. Star was wonderful and always kind and great sense of humor. Maria's heart is pure gold. Victoria always went above and beyond. The frontline staff is always helpful and kind. I'm not a patient here my wife is and it gets me frustrated seeing people get treated the way they do at this office, Women are supposed to feel comfortable walking into a place like this! As soon as you walk in you get and attitude by the front desk. The Phlebotomist in the office to the left hand corner also gives you a bad attitude and bad vibe because women there are working with her schedule instead of the other way around.. I don't see the point of having an appointment because when that time comes someone is on lunch or they tell you come back or have some other excuse! Don't even bother calling because they don't answer or they put you on hold and give you the run around! All this is making my wife stress out and it make us frustrated seeing her go through this.. For a first pregnancy this place has do nothing but confuse and scare me. They have also given me the run around and refuse to provide any services. After getting mandatory blood work and a glucose test (AT 8 WEEKS?! Glucose test already? Hmmm that's what I thought but again this is my first pregnancy) they had the nerve to call me last week to try and get me to come in earlier. Which I could not accommodate. Where to begin?... the unpleasantness of this place begins with the first step you take in the door. This is where you are basically scowled at by the most unpleasant receptionist that I have ever encountered. Plan ahead and BRING YOUR CHARGER to basically watch a full length feature film on your phone. Once the (not kidding) 2 hour wait is over you will be called so that a fairy nice nurse assistant takes your weight, temp and Blood pressure. You are then sent back to the waiting room purgatory from whence you came. Once you are finally called again you are lead to a exam room where once again you are left stranded, wondering if they have forgotten that you are there. Finally the doctor comes, Dr. Meyers is nice enough, but seems completely overwhelmed by her overpacked daily schedule and amount of case she must manage. She repeats everything she told you last visit as if this is the first time she tells you. As quickly as she came, she disappears again. On the way out, the ladies scheduling your next appointment are nice, and pretty efficient, until they inform you that your "next month" visit will be scheduled for two months out. By far the worst thing there is the terribly unprofessional/RUDE receptionist. DONT GO THERE if you can help it!! read more

I wish I would've just gone through the trouble of changing my issues than come to this place . The first couple of times I had no issues but I have not been seen by my OB in 4 weeks. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and have yet to do a NST or my bi weekly check up. The last time I was there I had an 1130am appointment and was told it's a 2 hour wait before I might be seen so I can leave and come back. It was 3pm and I still wasn't seen and just asked to be rescheduled again. I show up to my appointment 15 minutes early and once I was finally called 30 minutes after my appointment time I was told I have 10 patients ahead and once again they are short staffed and over scheduled. This is an ongoing issue that has truly become inconvenient and a huge headache. I understand issues occur but for every appointment to hear "over scheduled and understaffed" is just ridiculous! If that's the case cancel appointments. I've never been to any practice and had to play phone tag to see when can I come in to be seen on an appointment date. The office manager called me back in regards to my review. Issue has been resolved and I was refunded in full of what I was owed. I was told during the conversation that someone should of explained to me that when my explanation of benefits come in from my insurance company and it shows a different amount of what I owed than what I paid I was supposed to call them and tell them and they would look into it. I would think, as a professional business, that would be reviewed and taken care of by the accountant. They monitor what comes in and what comes out, right? So if there is a surplus, what do they do? Hold onto it until claimed? Spend it at the end of the year? I don't need a savings account with the Drs office, I have my own. Because of this is why I am not removing my review. It should never be the patients responsibility to ensure they get money back, and a patient should never have to fight for someone at that office to call them back either. read more

I was referred here by Dr. Helen Okoh who is amazing, she is so thorough and gets to the bottom of things. I expected a referred doctor would be just as great. I was mistaken. Let's start off with the staff. They're as incompetent as they are unprofessional. None of them gave ANYONE an actual amount of time they'd still have to wait to be seen. One woman actually left before being seen as I walked into the clinic. I thought she was just being fussy, but I had a rude awakening that lasted an hour and a half. There was another woman who waited 3 and a half hours until being seen, and only after she nearly yelled and called the staff incompetent and unprofessional. Now, I suffer from chronic pain along with my mother, and we were both aching as we sat there only for them to take my vitals. I decided, along with the first woman, this is ridiculous and asked to reschedule. I was told they didnt have any openings until October. I told them not to bother and told them I'd find a different, much better doctor, and left. Everyone there that I talked with was aggravated and stressed, most of these women pregnant and showing, and still waited likely because they had no other choice. Before you come here, call your insurance company to find a competent doctor with competent staff. Dont waste half your day here. read more

This office does not even deserve 1 star but it's the lowest rating possible. When I called to make an appointment back in late November I was told they have to verify my insurance before they would give one. This is a process that takes about a week. When they called to let me know I was cleared to be seen we set up an office visit on January 15, 2021 at 2pm. I'm not happy about this date but what can I do? The day before I get a call from the office asking health questions. At the end of the call I'm told my appointment is now a phone appt that I need to be available from 11am to 3pm. I was told it was an office visit when I made the appointment. Phone visits are not scheduled almost 2 months in advance. So Friday I'm waiting for my call about 3:20ish I call the office given some watered down excuse which I responded by turning in a Karen demanding to speak to a manager. Of course she's busy but will call me back in a few minutes. I confirmed that it'll be for same day was told yes. I give it 30 minutes and call back. Still not available but will call me back. I call again because 5:00 is coming soon. This time I get the mgr. Who gives an all together different watered down excuse which is unacceptable. Why didn't I get a call? I've called 3 times but have NEVER gotten a call from you. So now she needs to check on something's and will call me back. Will you be calling me back today? It's about 4:45-4:50, yes I will call you back today. No call back. Monday no call. Tuesday morning/afternoon still no call. I call them back again. I ask for mgr by name. Oh she's gone for the day but she's not the mgr this person is. Can I speak to her? She gets on the line I ask have you been updated on my situation she said yes. Then I ask why I was given a call back? Says she needs to talk to other person who's gone for the day to find out what's going on. So you just lied to me? At this point I can no longer contain my patience and let her have it! I told her that I had better get a call by noon tomorrow or I'm coming into the office. For the first time I get a call from this office to tell me the doctor is not taking any new patients at this time. I am livid!!!! This office is full of unprofessionals whose priority is to waste your time! read more
