I couldn't say enough good things about Dr. Aziz and this practice…read more After my move from another state I spent several years off and on seeking help. I even tried online help without success. I finally came across this place after someone recommended it on another site. I feel like this is an answer to prayers. It's just incredible after all of this time to feel like there is finally someone who understands what you are going through and is capable of helping. I drive an hour for my appointments here and it's well worth it.

I have been a patient at this practice for approximately 15 years and, until recently, had never…read morehad any significant issues. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has been extremely disappointing. Over the years my provider has been changed multiple times without any notice, which makes continuity of care difficult. Most recently, when I needed a short bridge refill of medication, the office refused despite my long history as a stable patient with no prior problems. None of my medications are controlled, and the situation occurred during a financial hardship when I was unable to attend the standard three-month visit. The practice does not offer any financial assistance or flexibility in situations like this. I have also been attempting to obtain copies of my medical records. I have called and emailed multiple times and have received no response. Patients have a legal right to access their own medical records, and it should not require repeated attempts or a public review just to receive acknowledgement. I have noticed that this office often responds to negative reviews by arguing with patients or attempting to portray themselves as the victim. I would encourage readers to keep in mind that many patients try to resolve issues privately before leaving reviews like this. At this point I am simply requesting the records I am entitled to under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). If I do not receive them promptly, I will be forced to pursue other avenues to obtain them.

I am a young adult and recently lost my hearing which has been hard. On my initial consult my…read morehearing test was explained to me better than my ENT explained. I was told to look at my insurance policy and verify that I had coverage for hearing aids. Which I do however how my insurance agency and hillcrest explained my benefits was not really the case I was stuck paying the full amount of $5400 for my hearing aids which was a shock. I called the office to disputed charges as nothing was billed the way it was explained. There very rude office manager stated that it is my responsible to pay. I understand this is my responsibility but the information they give to patients was very misleading when it comes to insurance. She then told me I could just return my hearing aids then. Of course this isn't an option as now having hearing aid i truest can. It hear with out them and would have to start the process all over. She then stated when will you be bringing them back in I stated I was. It sure I would need to look into things. 4 days later my left hearing aid completely quit working after only having them for about 6 weeks. I called office to figure out how to get it there for repair and was told they could not do that as I was bringing them back for a return. I told office that was not the case I did not state that I would be for sure bringing them back she Again directed me to call office manager Mary about this. I called her and left her a message she shortly returned my call and stated that I had been released as a patient and I needed to bring my hearing aids in. Again I paid in full $5400 for these and she is taking them back taking my hearing away from me. I stated I did not tell you that I would bring them in I simple was disputing charges and the false information you tell your patients. She told me there wasn't anything to do I had been release they would not fix my hearing that has a 3 year warranty because I'm not a patient anymore. I stated I would need to contact a lawyer and ended call. Mary shortly returned my call leaving a voicemail that stated I could bring my hearing aid in for repair and then be dismissed a patient to call her back I attempted multiple times to reach Mary to bring in my hearing aid she finally returned my called and stated that that was no longer an option after only 1.5 hrs from her voicemail that was option and multiple attempts to get ahold of her. She still stated that they would not be fixed and that I need to have the hearing aids back by a certain date for a full refund well the full refund is nice but when I asked about the claim they made to my insurance so that I could go somewhere else she stated that was between me and my insurance company I would receive my letter in the mail. Make sure you know every detail in what you are paying for make sure you know everything about allowance from insurance company and which products you can use your insurance through. I would truly recommend another company. This is a company that is suppose to help give people their hearing away and when you voice concerns about your bill which is as a patient your right they will order you to return your hearing aids and take away your hearing and not give 2 s&$?a about it. The office staff was nice and helpful but says a lot to who ever is over the office manager that would allow them to treat patients with no empathy or compassion that violates patients rights to disputes medical charges or questions anout their bill. Go somewhere else anywhere else

The clinic is in Troy, Ohio. Customer service of Hillcrest is very POOR... they are just after your money. They don't care to call the customer to check on how they were with the hearing aid, or email you or thank you or appreciate your having business with them. I only used the hearing aid one week because I feel am my hearing is getting worse when using this hearing aid. I will report them to Blue Cross Blue Shield so they will be our of federal health care services.
