I meant to post this review a week ago…read more Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth and Bilal, who both were behind the front counter. Both employees were extremely friendly, courteous and informative. I had some questions regarding Libby and Ruth, (Clearly a Libby Veteran) informed me I should physically go to Oakland and San Francisco to obtain library cards and add them to the Libby app. She also recommended if I was in the Los Angeles area to obtain a library card there. She didn't have to tell me this but she went out of her way to help me out and that was appreciated. Yesterday I went to Oakland and got a library card and added that to my Libby app so that it would expand my library and it did. Library's are so important and I can appreciate Marin County keeping the Fairfax location open as well as all of the other locations. Thank you both, Ruth and Bilal.

Ok I get it children's section. I took her upstairs to the adult section and honestly quite a few of the seats, tables were taken by the homeless. I saw one changing socks, picking sores on her feet. I was able to find a table on the other side of that mayhem and the pic posted should be enough to convince anyone how unsanitary this place is. San Rafael deals with enough homeless issues I'm not going to subject myself to more than I already am. I'll go to another library in a different town/city because San Rafael is too woke to care about those of us that apparently have little rights when it comes to dealing with this.

Loved visiting this library as part of my Frank Lloyd Wright (FLW) tour of the Marin County Civic…read moreCenter. It is in one of the stunning domes of the large building. There's an area for FLW books and info, but the rest of the library is like any other public library and offers lots of services and products. I really enjoyed the back room which had a small exhibit about the history of Chilean people in the area. The librarians were all so welcoming and helpful! As I walked around, many greeted me warmly and also were masked -- both gestures were much appreciated!

She is very old, can't speak clearly, and had no control/direction of her class. Waste of time. Refund policy requires requests to process 3 days PRIOR to start of class. Hmmm...wonder why. Who knew…read more SFTS is set as the castle on the hill (really - built in the early 1900's) in San Anselmo, CA (yeah who'd thought San Francisco Theological Seminary isn't actually in San Francisco). It's a small mostly PCUSA (Presbyterian) seminary that offers a lot of historical critical biblical study, classes in spirituality (mostly contemplative styles), and other such pastoral training classes. You will want to take Professor Love's theology classes and Sister Beth Liebert's spirituality classes (if your ever enrolled here). If you ever get a chance you should come by and check it out.

Just bring some headphones, and you'll get so much work done! As another reviewer mentioned, you can't check out any books, but copies are just 10 cents a page. That seems pretty reasonable. I entered the parking lot from N San Pedro, so the entrance to building 20 was the first door on my right, and opens right into the Law Library. The parking lot is huge, but definitely gets full during certain times of the day. There's a smaller lot up on a small incline too if the larger lot is full. Bathrooms are on the left in another office, and the hallway down to the bathrooms is lined with artwork from local residents. Free WiFi too! Just ask the staff for the password.

There was a charge to drive into the area and cars then processed by giant spiders etc. to a drive-up option for hot dogs, and beyond. It looked fun but since there is a charge it does not seem equitable for those who could not pay over $10 per car.

I want to share an honest review of my recent experience with the Marin History Museum. While my…read moreexperience initially became frustrating surrounding the San Quentin tour, I am grateful for how the situation was ultimately addressed. When I signed up for the tour, my ticket was somehow cancelled. After further review, I learned that this was the result of a clerical error. Unfortunately, it created a difficult situation for me, especially because it took several days to determine what had happened. My only intention was to feel confident that I could participate in an opportunity I had signed up for based on the stated requirements. I was recently offered the opportunity to join the San Quentin tour after everything was reviewed, and I truly appreciate the effort that was made to make things right. A special thank-you to Jennifer and Heather for taking the time to help resolve the situation and for attempting to make a difficult experience better. I also want to sincerely apologize to Lori if my concerns caused any unnecessary commotion. That was never my intention. I simply cared deeply about being able to participate and wanted to understand why my registration had changed. Ultimately, I appreciate the Marin History Museum for hearing me out and working toward a positive resolution. Downtown San Rafael has a main street with shops and restaurants...like old times...fun...anytime really...it's not hard to visit some parts of outer Bay Area counties...this area has access with the transit center buses that go out of the bridge area...nice adventure...some people are ignorant of buses...sometimes buses are a better to way to transport...house museums are in all directions NWSE...etc...this one is different...it says that the daughter was a polar photographer, geographer, and went on expeditions...related to Canada etc...really wonderful time to visit the history house...quiet community...scholarly...athletic...
