You are waiting in the lobby for about 30 minutes to an hour, then another hour when they take you to the back. Let's not get started when you need urgent care, they basically say "oh sorry, I can't do anything unless you come into the office" ....wow great see ya in 2 months despite me needing URGENT care!!! THE WORST OFFICE EXPERIENCE!!!! So safe to say my 4 daughters and I will be transferring to another doctor!

The year I'm preparing to depart this city, I find an Ophthalmologist, a Dentist & GYN I like (still working on that PCP). Anyway, Dr. Osowo listened. She believes in Body Autonomy, so you're informed & involved in your decisions instead of just being told what you should do. I felt that if I needed something and was unreasonable she would be clear & direct protecting her license and helping you help yourself. Now...I won't say it's a fast in and out. The long waiting period was in the waiting room the 1st time I went but it was also a mid afternoon appointment. My follow up appointment, I scheduled the 1st appointment of the day and I was in and out. If you're looking for a great GYN, look no more.

Robin, Julie and Stephanie were an absolute pleasure to work with. They answered any and all questions we threw at them. They helped us feel at ease when there was anything we were unsure about. We started care at a regular obgyn office and transferred to Westover Hills Birth Center around 4 months as I didn't want to deliver in a hospital (unless necessary). The prenatal care was subpar at the hospital compared to the extensive care we received at Westover Hills Birth Center. Our visits were pleasant and we didn't feel rushed like in the hospital. We looked forward to our appointments and were bummed when our postpartum visits were over! Robin and Julie are very passionate midwives and were very knowledgeable. Both of them coming from different backgrounds in midwifery helped create a fantastic dynamic between the two of them. I had a 26-hour labor and a few setbacks during delivery but alas, because of our badass team, we had the birth we had planned for and they respected our birth wishes. I couldn't be more thankful and appreciative of the love and care we received from West Over Hills Birth Center. We will be recommending them to any families in the future looking to go this route. Every time we pass the Birth center, we look for their vehicles just to stop in and say "hi". They really did become part of our family!

Growing up in rural Texas, all I knew when it came to childbirth was that when it's time to give…read morebirth, you drove your wife to the hospital (and if you were lucky, you got to drive fast with a police escort). So, when my wife suggested we use a midwife to deliver our first child at a birth center, I was initially (and quietly) opposed. It just seemed......"weird"......and a little too hippy-dippy. But, I'm not the one giving birth, so I went along. To say my eyes have been opened is an understatement. Over the last 4 years, Robin has delivered 4 of our children; 2 at a birth center & twins at home. She is flat out amazing, smart, caring, brilliant, full of knowledge, dedicated to protecting the health & well-being of both mother & baby. When our first daughter was transverse after labor started, it was Robin's expertise & training in Germany, along with 4+ hours of hard work that got her turned. Any other midwife would have cashed their check & sent us to the hospital for a c-section. But, Robin is unflappable & dedicated to delivering (pun intended). There are so many things I love about Robin.......her calm under pressure, her tenderness, her desire to be flawless in everything she does, her love of teaching & sharing wisdom. But one trait that has won my heart is her ability & resolve to properly balance the health & well-being of the mother & baby against the mother's desire to deliver naturally & at home or the birth center. She won't take risks. But, she also won't take the easy road when sending a client to the hospital is easier. She delivered our first two babies when she was a partner at Stone Oak Birthing Center. While her partner, Joy, was the "personality", Robin was the rock, the fountain of knowledge, the "can do", the know-how. She had 5% of the personality, but 95% of the knowledge of that partnership. And when she left to start her own birthing center, there was no doubt where we were going. We're beyond pleased to have made that decision, especially with the horror stories we've heard from others who've hired Stone Oak since she left. Robin & her team are flawless in their execution, preparation and communication. Robin isn't going to wow you with personality. She's reserved & stayed. But, there is no one I'd more want in my corner than her when it comes to child birth. 5-star woman. 5-star business. 5-star expertise. Thank you Robin (and your team) for the remarkable experiences we've been privileged to have shared with you these last 4 years. And thank you for safely delivering our 4 precious babies.

I am not his patient but I am a woman who is absolutely terrified to be in Texas right now. Knowing that there is a doctor out there willing to take personal risks to simply do his job is a light at the end of this sad tunnel. Dr. Braid, I hope there are more of you. I would like to remind people to this is NOT "baby killing". By helping his patient, Dr. Braid is clearly pro life and not ANTI CHOICE. This option, I am sure, was not easy for his patient but it was the best decision for whatever reason. What if she could have died? What if her partner is abusive? What if she can't afford a child? What if she were raped? What if she was 13? What if the condom broke? The reasons why this is HER choice are infinite. And her life should be infinitely respected and honored and valued. Dr. Braid, you respected her, you honored her and I am certain you do this for all your patients. Thank you for doing your job. I support you and thank you. This time has been hard. I feel like as a woman, I've been slapped in the face and kicked to the ground. There is not a woman out there who hasn't been cat-called, felt uncomfortable in the presence of some men, or more than likely, had to push some male off of them. As I replay all the things that I've endured in my lifetime, I want to scream at the top of my lungs, " how dare you make me an object. How dare you think I'm yours for the taking. How dare you f**ing take my rights away after you've allowed me to be treated this way." And I'm a lucky woman. White, middleclass, never been raped, but I pushed, shoved and kicked several men off of me. I remember being 6 and uncomfortable around a family friend. All the cat calls.... I want to scream, "How dare you say I can't control my body. Shame on every single one of you" And bless you Dr. Braid for standing up and performing your job. Thank you.

She…read moreis horrible with patients and our babies, was so cold and mean not only to me but to my newborn baby and I truly don't understand why she is a midwife. If you look at her other reviews on Elm Midwifery's profile you can see other moms have had similar experiences. She is surprisingly uneducated for a nurse midwife and told me incorrect info multiple times throughout my labor. First when I expressed a concern about getting induced she got angry and told me pitocin doesn't cause stronger contractions and is just like natural oxytocin, which is absolutely false and it says in the insert that there is a list of side effects. She went off about how "she hates that myth" multiple times... and it's not even a myth lol Her and my nurse SA'd me many times throughout the first 3 hours of pushing to "check you're pushing correctly" despite me refusing consent and they would mock me when I said to stop. She claimed she had to check my pushing by violating me with her hand when I pushed despite me telling them multiple times to stop, and there is no evidence at all that we need our providers to do this to us! After the first time I told her no she stood there talking bad about me to my nurse as though I weren't 2 feet away listening to them. They immediately continued doing this my next contraction despite me having just said no! It took 3 hours of pushing and both me and my husband asking her to stop she finally agrees to stop but lectures me one last time about it. She also seems to have zero knowledge of physiological birth despite being a midwife. When I tried multiple times to move to a different position(kneeling, on all fours) after an hour and then 3 hours of pushing on my back with no progress she told me I needed to stay there and that laboring in a kneeling position could cause baby to get stuck in my pelvis which isn't true at all and doesn't even make sense. The whole time she was with me she's looking at me as though she's irritated that she's there attending my birth. She just sat there looking bored or irritated and glared at me any time I cried out in pain. My baby went into fetal distress and she chose not to tell me anything that was going on. When the NICU crash team came in I kept asking what was wrong with my baby and she flat out ignored me and kept it a secret. When baby was born she plopped him on my belly unsupported where he could have just slid off me and off the bed instead of handing him to me. I was so weak I couldn't lift him off my belly and it took 5 minutes for another nurse to notice and hand him to me. We stated we wanted to wait to cut the cord but Megan kept telling us "it's done" and there's no need to wait and pressured my husband into cutting it right then. She got so angry when I tried to tell her twice I want to wait and started to raise her voice at us that we needed to cut it. She then pulled my placenta out of me which was completely unnecessary(it had been less than 10 minutes since baby was born) and can even be dangerous! Women have died from having the placenta pulled out of them prematurely because it can cause a hemorrhage! And despite my wishes that we communicated to everyone there and in our birth plan to keep it for burial she threw it away in a waste bin instead of the cooler we provided. Somebody else had to dig it out and save it for us. If you ever have the opportunity to have her present at your birth, please decline and ask for someone else. She is a disgusting sorry excuse for a midwife and everyone deserves better care than what she does to us.

My wife had Megan as midwife last year and Megan treated her horribly while giving birth. She was…read moreso rude and angry the whole time and kept violating my wife to "check her pushing." There were no complications or anything at all. Even after we asked her to stop violating her multiple times she refused saying my wife won't push correctly unless she puts her hand up inside her every time which no other provider has done and looked annoyed every time my wife yelled in pain. This is our 3rd baby and no OB or midwife has ever treated us like this or done these push checks. My gf is traumatized from her birth for the first time after 2 other babies thanks to Megan. Not only that but she gave us incorrect info multiple times regarding prenatal care and birth, such as saying giving birth on her back is the only way and any natural position will cause baby to get stuck which is just stupid. Look at Elm Midwifery reviews, apparently we're not the only ones to have this experience with her.
