I see Dr. Osowo. I've been in this city 4 years and it took me this long to find a provider I like...that listens. I had literally been going back home to Georgia for GYN visits yearly. The year I'm preparing to depart this city, I find an Ophthalmologist, a Dentist & GYN I like (still working on that PCP). Anyway, Dr. Osowo listened. She believes in Body Autonomy, so you're informed & involved in your decisions instead of just being told what you should do. I felt that if I needed something and was unreasonable she would be clear & direct protecting her license and helping you help yourself. Now...I won't say it's a fast in and out. The long waiting period was in the waiting room the 1st time I went but it was also a mid afternoon appointment. I immediately called to see what was required in order for me to become a transfer patient. A referral was submitted to try and start pregnancy care with this office and I was told I'd receive a call after it was reviewed. I walked in at 3:45, checked in, and as I sat down I overheard two women both complaining also about the constant wait times here. My appointment today was at 4pm, I was brought back for vitals at 4:05 not told about anyone running behind, and at this moment of writing this review it is currently 5:35 and I am still waiting to be taken back to a room to be seen. I was told about five minutes ago I was next to be taken back and it shouldn't be more than 15 min... we will see I'm understanding of people running behind, life happens- but for it to literally be EVERY single time I come for my annual, no matter the appointment time or day of week etc- where and how do we fix the problem?? The parking fees are MINOR in the grand scheme of things, but it is annoying to end up paying more for those when they're the ones always behind. The wait times every single appointment are extremely excessive and they do not care because they charge you in advance. In the past, I had seen Dr. Suber several times and had to wait up to an hour in the waiting room and then up to 40 minutes in the patient room. Today when I walked in after taking a couple years off from this practice, I was shocked at the sheer volume of people in the waiting room. Looking at these reviews it worried me. Honestly I had a great experience. The front desk was nice. They looked busy each time I can(which I believe they really are). My first appointment I waited about 30-45 mins after my appointment time to be called back. My second appointment I was called back fairly quickly. Each time I saw Dr Cerny-Leacock she was great. She answered my questions without making me feel dumb or like my questions weren't valid. I did have to have a small procedure with her during it she talked me through my nervousness and even made sure I was comfortable throughout. Dr. Leecock was my doctor. As a younger patient who needed more gyno stuff (birth control options) she made me feel very comfortable and was incredibly knowledgeable about options and what was safest for me. Each time I've gone, all of the staff is professional and helpful, and I've never felt nervous or uncomfortable throughout the visits. I will also mention that I believe the office is only women, which isn't a requirement for OBGYN offices, but definitely made me feel much more comfortable for the entire experience. I ended up getting the Mirena IUD, although I didn't have kids yet, and truly it has been a great experience, and I am so glad I chose this OBGYN office. read more

I'm leaving the one star as a reflection on any clinic that would keep Dr. Vanaja Kethireddy hired. She's a terrible OBGYN. She's rude and arrogant: she'll interrupt you while you're talking, and she gets visibly angry with you if you have questions. Probably the most horrifying is that during routine pelvic exams, she'll just start inserting her fingers and instruments into your vagina without informing you first. So she'll have her fingers in your body and just be chit-chatting away with whatever other healthcare person is in the room. It's not assault, but it makes you feel like she really doesn't care about you at all. Please, if you decide to go with Lonestar OBGYN, do not pick Dr. Kethireddy. She's terrible. OH! Yes! Fun thing about this office. When you get called back to provide your intimate medical details to the nurses, you're in an open area right behind reception. So you have an audience---both staff and any patients that wander up---while you're describing your menstrual cycles, miscarriages, etc. Other interesting thing about this office: the windows with open blinds in the exam rooms. Fun feature when you're about to disrobe and have someone peer into your most Intimates of Intimates. read more

I have now seen Dr. Cerny-Leecock for 10 years! She has delivered 2 of my 3 children and I am just beyond grateful I found her! She is always kind and compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and efficient. She always has remembered me, and my family, and makes small talk, aside from doing whatever exam I need, she never rushes me out the door. Once she even explained something that an ER doctor failed to explain once (and that left me very anxious) and that eased my mind tremendously. She has always made me feel reassured and comforted, I have never left her office with questions. I do have to admit, her wait times sometimes can be quite long, but it hasn't ever bothered me too much. I know she gets called into emergency C sections and has plenty of other patients to see. Knowing I have a doctor so sought after is a good feeling! Staff is hit or miss, but I haven't ever had a bad experience with any of the nurses. Especially Grace, I think she has been there as long (if not longer) than I have been going there and she has always been a great help. She will call me back with results or to answer my questions, in a timely manner. Overall, I recommend this office/my OBGYN to EVERYONE I can! read more

Lone Star Ob-Gyn Associates is not only a beautiful office, but they have a VERY KIND and VERY ATTENTIVE staff. From reception to nurses/nursing assistants I can say I am extremely impressed and thankful that I chose this office to assist me with pre-and post natal care. My appointments were never rushed, and I was always spoken to and treated with respect by the receptionists - who always found an available appointment and worked with my schedule. I would highly recommend Dr. Jacobs, she is the best OB-GYN in San Antonio. She is a no-frills type of doctor who was always on time and informative during our appointments. I had two appointments last year. One for my annual and another for a biopsy. For both appointments I had to wait a while before being seen. An emergency at the hospital next door always seems to come up. Fine. But Dr. Michele Cerny-Leecock's office is very poorly run. Last week I had an appointment for my annual and waited almost two hours and got so tired of waiting that I rescheduled for the following week first appointment in the morning. I waited for an hour before I was seen for the morning appointment. Again, an emergency supposedly. When I was trying to express my frustrations with the doctor she seemed to not want to hear it, rushed through my exam. I know that doctors tend to not respect patient's time but this is beyond ridiculous. People need to be warned ahead of time that the doctor might be awhile. On top of all that they don't validate parking so you pay at least $2-$3 each time you go up there. And each appointment they ask me about my insurance at least three times. They really need to get more organized. If you see this doctor, expect to wait an hour at the very least. Don't bother showing up early to fill out paperwork like they want you to do because you're going to be waiting forever regardless and will have plenty of time to fill it out. The doctors are nice when you see them. I switched drs seeing as mine always had me waiting 1hr or more past appointment time to be seen, in hopes that another physician wouldn't have this problem but that wasn't the case. At my last appointment I waited over 2 hours to see the dr, and was at the office for a total of 3 hours. I'm left so exhausted from waiting my mind is blank and I forget to ask my questions I just want to leave so badly. She told me my negative experience with my previous birth control "was not a side effect" when clearly I was the one who endured it and read many similar stories. I wanted to talk about a new birth control option in IUD form and instead of informing me about them, she was questioning me and testing my knowledge about what I've read. I had a question about a cyst like lump I felt on my pelvis and she was bothered that I asked her about it "after [she] washed her hands." Dr. Cerney Leecock is great, but the way the office is run is upsetting. I just had an annual scheduled and I was called to be informed that the Dr. had to reschedule. That was not a problem because I had to reschedule once before. When I arrived in the rescheduled date, I was waiting for over an hour and was told, while in the exam room, the doctor should be back in the office very soon. She did not come and I had to leave as I was only able to get half day off from work. I was upset but rescheduled once again because Dr. Cerney is an amazing doctor. I arrived at my scheduled 9:45 appointment and was not called until 10:15 and waited in the examining room until 11:00 am. At that point, I truly felt disregarded as a patient and a human being. Trying not to break down in anger, I got dressed and began to leave. The Dr. saw me telling the receptionist that I have been waiting over an hour and I need to leave. She tried to apologize, but at that point, I was livid and hurt because I really needed to make sure that my health was not in jeopardy. A person can only take so much and I felt that anyone who decides to go here for this doctor really understands that the wait time is ridiculous. Unfortunately, as a single mother, my schedule is really tight so I do not have the luxury to wait and wait and wait. The doctor, as I stated before, is amazing. So if you do have the luxury of time, this would be a great doctor for you. However if you are a busy mother and professional as I am, you should know what to expect. read more

I have seen Dr. Schwope for years. She is wonderful, highly educated and very personal. I would highly recommend her. She's a good listener. But, Clinical Pathology Laboratories is unacceptable. They do the blood draws on for Lone Star OB/GYN in an adjoining room. Following was my experience today. I have had over 50 blood draws in my life, due to cancer, etc. Therefore, because my veins have been damaged in the past, I requested the phlebotomist use a butterfly for the draw, but Claudia would not. In fact, both phlebotomist in the room argued with me. Juan, the other phlebotomist in the room didn't even turn around to talk to me and had his back to me the entire time as he made excuses for not using a butterfly for the draw saying that the A1c draw would not work with a butterfly. This is not true--I verified this fact when I called to complain to their management. Claudia proceeded as I argued with her, saying that the needle is small. She started the draw against my wishes, my vein collapsed, and she began shifting my skin back and forth and moving my arm. She had to stick me again, using a butterfly, which went better, but she did bruise that vein. I was left with one badly damaged vein, a second bruised vein (where the butterfly was inserted and a reaction from the latex bandage. I am latex sensitive. I wish I could post a picture that shows the abuse from the unqualified and insensitive phlebotomist. A good stick leaves a tiny make over the vein. I have 1/2 inch dark black and blue mark over the collapsed vein, a smaller light black and blue mark over the smaller vein and a swollen red imprint of the entire outline of the latex band aid. All of this was covered with a pressure wrap, so I didn't realize how bad it was until I arrived home and took off the pressure wrap, band aid and cotton. read more

I called to schedule a consultation, unfortunately the receptionist was less than helpful and only told me to go online to schedule. So I did.... 3 times over 4 weeks. Never getting a phone call. So today after seeing my fertility doctor and him suggesting I call again, I did. I was put on hold for 13 minutes then told my only options for appointments were 11:45 or 2pm on select days. And the days I am off didn't have availability. Unfortunately I was really excited about this provider but getting in to see them has proven to be impossible for a working mother. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Haun's for 2 years. I was incorrectly diagnosed with PCOS and told I would struggle to conceive. She told me I would need a history of failed attempts to become pregnant in order for my insurance to pay for treatment. When I became pregnant 3 months later, I immediately called their office to schedule an appointment. The secretary blew me off and refused to schedule me an appointment until I was 12 weeks along, regardless of the fact that I wanted a confirmed pregnancy test. As a result of this, I went elsewhere and never looked back. The staff is incompetent, rude and judgmental. Not to mention, I don't approve of an hour wait beyond my scheduled appointment time. I had an appointment with Dr. Haun. To say that she was amazing is a complete understatement. As a doctor, she is one of the most intellectual, thorough, and well educated people I have ever met. She addressed my concerns from every angle, really touching on every single possibility, and educating me as well on the lesser known topics. As a human being, she is intuitive, sensitive, and has a great sense of humor. Appointments with your Gyno usually aren't the highlight of events going on in your week, and she really does a fantastic job of being personable and getting to know all sides of your story and history to give you the best options. I started seeing Dr. Ora Schwope a little over two years ago and have no regrets from switching ob/gyns! Dr. Schwope is really personable, when you're talking to her - you feel like you're talking to a close friend, so you can talk to her about ANYTHING. Plus she is just really open about everything, no shame, which is great. She just recently had a baby (not recently, probably a year ago now) so she can definitely relate to issues you may have post-birth. I feel really comfortable with her and have no complaints. I really really enjoy her as my ob/gyn. With that being said, I have had a handful of issues with the office staff (hence the 4 stars). I really really dislike the office staff. I understand Dr. Schwope delivers babies, that's her number one priority in her job. But when I come for an appointment, the last thing I want to do is wait three hours to be seen. The office staff kept reassuring "she's on her way" "she'll be here in 30 minutes" etc etc.. and she never showed, not for three hours anyways. I ended up just rescheduling my appoiintment which was fine, but had I been pregnant, I would've been extremely frustrated/annoyed with the office staff for messing me around and wasting three hours of my life sitting around the office.... (end of rant!) All-in-all, a great doctor and the whole place is full of great doctors. I've always had to wait to see her which is fine, it's never more than 20-30 minutes usually. Such an incredibly FRUSTRATING and DISAPPOINTING experience! I have been a patient of Dr. Haun's for YEARS. I've struggled with PCOS for years and with a prescribed medication she provided I was able to conceive and give birth to my daughter. Now that I am in a place to try and grow my family again, we've tried w/o medication, changing diets, exercise (you name it) she told me to call back in January and she'd be happy to prescribe it. Tell me WHY after months of looking forward to this appointment she not only reschedules our appointment TWICE at the last minute on the same day, she has her assistant Amber call me and inform me that if I want the medication I now need to go to a fertility specialist. WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THAT TO SOMEONE THAT HAS CONFIDED IN THEM DURING THEIR MOST FRAGILE MOMENTS?! All of the miscarriages and heartbreak we've went through and finding something that works, promising a follow up and another opportunity to grow my family, you take that away with no explanation?! How dare you! I am so hurt and beyond disappointed. That message could've been provided to me MONTHS ago when this initial appointment was made vs countless months of looking forward to the possibility of growing my family to only be shut down with no explanation. I could've already had that other appointment scheduled!
