We tried the patatas bravas, meatballs, garlic prawns, paella and fried chicken wings and they were all cooked well and were delicious with good flavours. I thought the serving size was fine for the 4 of us. They have a choice of banquets but I have never seen a banquet that wasn't overpriced anywhere, so I steer away from them. Order from the menu and ask for double serves if you are a large group. You can always order more! Their wine list contains a lot of wines from Spain but they are not overpriced and you can try to relive that last holiday in Barcelona, sitting in the sun by the sea with a glass of the rose!

I went to Bocados with my younger brother and we're both known to be quite big eaters. We ordered paella (however the waitress informed us it would be green), chicken wings and bread. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal. With a good serving of seared salmon on the paella and fresh seafood, this matched the strong lime flavour of the paella delightfully. The wings had a good amount of spicyness, but were definitely over-priced for the small serving size. To conclude our meal, the only sensible option was to order churros. I wasn't overly impressed with this desert. The chocolate could have been sweeter, and the churros could have been slightly more crispy on the outside. However, I'm willing to give bocados the benefit of the doubt that if I were to return, the desert would be on par with the main meal. Overall, Bocados is a great Spanish restaurant. My advice would be to get your fair share of wings, maybe this would be a fantastic first date location, especially if your partner is hesitant to pig-out on food..

I didn't say anything cause I just wanted to spend a good time with my family. We ordered several things that weren't anything special: bravas, torrades (5$ for two pieces of bread!?!?!?!?), croquetas and Pinchos Morunos , the last ones came basically raw to our table. We asked them to please cook them through cause we couldn't eat raw meat, they came back 10 mins later with the meat in the exact same condition. I've eaten pinchos morunos a 100 times... Maybe? Never nearly raw. Not only that, but we all felt quite sick and heavy after dinner. So, after all this, I can definitely say I'm not going back, not recommending it to anyone. I'm Spanish and I've been asked like a 100 times for a good Spanish restaurant, I thought this was going to be it...!! But no... One positive thing I have to say: both our waiters were nice.

The old garage site near the station at Turrumurra is now a very neat bar and small plate food joint. Service is per young people who have somehow been imbued with a sense of service, pride, and fun. How does a lawyer do THAT ? Food - absolutely fantastic ! Crab on toast, quail lolipops, octopus, prawns, mushroom and truffle tarts, the food is brought out fast and it is very very good, and this is the first night! I think the younger north shore people will find the cost acceptable if not areyouserious cheap. At tonight's setting there was an even mix, perhaps 60:40 oldies : youngies. The space has been done brilliantly, I only wish they had left the outside looking like a garage but that might have been pushing it a bit. There's a long way to go for the UNS but this is a huge step in the right direction. Finally.

The restaurant decor is beautiful and the crowd is a real mix, I saw couples having a romantic dinner, families and big groups all enjoying their meal. The menu is concise but everything is done well. We had the crab felafel, chicken and leek croquettes, lamb kofta, halumi and rocket salad, paella, beef cheeks and he dessert tasting platter and could not find any fault. The food is authentic, fresh and delicious and the staff help pace the meal well. The beef was especially good, it cut like butter and featured a wine glaze, the rose water rice pudding was also a highlight. Let's start with the owner: he is the most wonderful, gracious and hospitable host I've ever met. His opening line is "welcome to my home" and it's all good from there. Each time I've been here (3 times in all), I have just asked him to choose the dishes and keep them coming until we say "enough". Given this is a Moroccan tapas kind of place (whatever that is?), it's more "ca suffit" or "hallas" with my best French or Arabic accents, respectively. Food is varied and delicious and small enough so you can try many things. BYO and bring your good stuff to go with the meal. No corkage fee, and they will keep whatever you want chilled until you're ready to go. For example, one time we dropped off our wine and beer before heading out on a boat. They happily held it in their fridge for us until dinner. Last good thing is that A Fous is really not that expensive, especially if you bring your own beverages. All you can eat (see above!) was about $170 for 2 couples. That's first rate for an elite eat here in Mosman.
