The path around the lake is stunning sand truly added a peaceful state of mind and soul after a busy day of business meetings. There was a nice children's playground and someone was grilling here, which added a wonderful aroma to the air. San Luis Mission Park is an amazing park and if you are in Tallahassee, Florida, you owe it to yourself to check this park out. We do not currently have a dog, but we both love dogs and enjoy petting them and watching them play. The parking lot was full so we parked across the street where some other cars were parked. Its quite a small parking lot. There is a very nice double gate so that dogs cannot escape easily. We got to pet a few dogs, but they were mostly running around and playing which is why they were there! We followed a path around the lake and were impressed with the size of the park. A few dogs were playing in the water as well. We saw some neighbors and stopped to chat a bit. Other people were getting to know each other because their dogs were playing together. What a great way for neighbors and their dogs to connect with each other! We really enjoyed ourselves and will return soon for sure.

And the small dog park would make a very nice large dog park in most cities. The large dog park it's actually a lot bigger than it looks from the entrance. It unfolds in the back and opens up into a very nice big area for your dogs to run amongst the trees. Did I mention there are a multitude of old groceries as well as places to sit and benches and picnic tables. There are multiple poop bag dispensers as well as trash cans placed all around the park. Dual gated entry areas for both the large and the small dog park. The only two questionable items are they have a place where the fence makes a v in the back which can sometimes trap dogs that are trying to escape being attacked and the only water is actually outside the delegated entry? Oh and you have to park about a half a block away.

This is a small little playground located just off of the Cascades Park trail. It seems relatively…read morenew and has a very nice restroom facility and water fountains. There is street parking available to park visitors. The playground is laid on a rubbery, mud-free surface. The playground's equipment is modern and includes a supernova merry go round, saucer swing, a bank of traditional swings, a bank of toddler swings, teeter tooters, a spiral pole slide, a corkscrew climber, and a massive net climber. There is seating on low retaining walls for caregivers to watch their littles play and a little open space for littles to play catch. I really like this playground and would put it slightly in the category of being a destination playground. It is well maintained, has some modern equipment, and offers water and a restroom. I highly recommend checking this playground out if you are in the area.
