It was very important to us to find someone that had the upmost passion for their profession and made sure our children's wellbeing was taken care of. When you first walk in and see the giant giraffe, beautiful hand paintings on the wall and the train that goes on a track just above your head (that's our kids favorite part) you know you are in a very warm and welcoming environment. Each offfice is absolutely blissful as well, there are TVs in each of the corners playing a cartoons, stunning warm paintings on the walls and a plethora of books and toys for the kids to enjoy! Kaye is so pleasant and you can tell she absolutely loves children and only wants the best for them. She is so wonderful to talk to and makes sure to give the kiddos a hug as they leave. My children adore her and even ask when we're going back! If you are looking for the best pediatrician office in town, this, hands down this is where you will want to go.

I have been struggling to find the appropriate words for this review, because I want to be clear…read more Dr. Senar was an excellent Peds for my son. However, that does not negate the many issues we experienced with his office/clinic. The 3 star rating is purely for the doctor whom I would give 5 stars if I could also give 0 stars for his office, so I'll stick with the 3 star average. We started taking my son to Dr. Senar after we met him at the hospital when our son was born. We immediately loved him and decided he would be our choice for our son, but from the beginning we always had trouble getting in to see him. The number of un-returned phone calls and messages would have been enough to upset any parent but tack on the issues we had getting follow-ups scheduled, prescriptions called in, or anything that wasn't a "routine" visit and you get a complete picture of what we have dealt with. And that was all PRE-Covid. Since covid, its been dead silence. No returned phone calls and, no appointments available. We were always forced to go to urgent care with absolutely no follow up with his office despite many calls trying to do so. Now we are being told that they dropped our son as a patient because he hasn't been seen in "over a year" (its been nearly 4 actually) and that their policy is to not retain any patient that isn't seen in over a year. It doesn't matter, apparently, that we have been trying and even refused at times and directed to go to urgent care BY the office. I have never felt like an office cared less. Buyer beware!

After finding it just about impossible to find a Dr that will take new patients, I had to take my oldest back to Dr Okezie's office. All I've been trying to do is get my daughter a referral but it has proven to be extremely difficult with this Dr. I was informed on the phone that they had moved locations so when I pulled up I was excited to see the new place. I really didn't like the Mercy Southwest location at all, so this was refreshing. The front office staff was friendly as were the nurses we'd encountered before seeing the Dr. After we'd left the exam room I got to speak to the referral nurse regarding my daughters needs and she was very helpful. My daughter ended up seeing the nurse practitioner instead of Dr Okezie and she was way friendlier and more attentive to her needs. She actually looked at my daughter and asked her questions whereas Okezie never even touched her or seemed interested much at all. Overall this was a much better experience and if we are given the option I would choose to deal with the FNP over the Dr. We finally got the referral and made an appointment so all is good.

Made appointment to get an X-ray and referral to his surgeon if needed. They stated they'd do an X-ray there. Today's appointment was with Okezie herself. She was more interested in my son having his heel on her velvet seat than actually seeing him. She did nothing and sent out a referral to an X-ray facility which I was unable to have him get an X-ray the same day. So frustrating I ended up having to go to urgent care to get the X-ray. Thank goodness for Accelerated Urgent Care for their care. Better than this place. If she didn't want her seats to get "dirty" why would she have velvet seats at a pediatrics office! Any coherent person would know that. Glad she cares more about the aesthetics of her office than her patients!

I think one of the reasons for poor reviews from others is due to personality differences. I think Dr. Russell was pretty helpful and kind, aside from her assertiveness. The receptionist also came off as dismissive at first, but was kind when me and my child were leaving the office. I'm sure the center was busy this morning, and she could've been very well annoyed with parents bringing in their kids for "every little thing." But it's still an urgent center for sick kids, so a little empathy would've been nice. Overall, this is a decent pediatric urgent care. They are pretty quick, and they are helpful. I also appreciate the fact that since my son had a stomach bug, the physician's assistant gave me a couple barf bags to take with us for the ride home.

That was extremely disappointing and honestly upsetting. I could have taken my son to the ER instead of wasting time driving here, especially in cold and rainy weather. As a parent, that kind of miscommunication really matters. To make things more confusing, another parent that had arrived 10 min after me mentioned they had been seen even later than that on a previous visit. So it feels very inconsistent. If you're not going to accept patients close to closing time, that needs to be clearly communicated when people call or reflected in your hours. Emergencies and health concerns don't always happen on a schedule, thing happen suddenly and people rely on the information they're given. Overall, very frustrating experience and a waste of time.
