It is a beautiful temple. I find it very peaceful. I go there every week, there is a senior program every Tuesday starting with yoga at 10 AM-1045AM, this is followed by another activity for seniors from 11:00AM to 12:00. read more

We live in Cerritos and go to the temple many times. First time when we visited the temple we got confused whether it was temple or Church. They have converted a church into temple and left the pews in the hall. So instead of us sitting below the deities or Standing in front of them you can actually sit and enjoy the puja. The main deity is Lord Shiva in Linga form and he is majestic, that is the best part of this temple. The temple is peaceful if you ignore what is happening around you. If you shut out all the commotion the association either conducts or lease the premises for inside the temple from your senses then you can have quiet time with the lord, Also sometimes the temple main hall becomes a dining room, so when you worship beware of the smell and leftovers of food distributed in the main place of worship. Unlike other temples I have visited, there is no structure in the pujas, there are no archanas conducted in the temple, do not except any information regarding the pujas or the fees for it, I asked the priest and manager they say that is not followed in the mandir.Still we continue to go there hoping things will improve. read more

Temple is great with greenery around. This temple is right beside the Swami Narayan temple. The templectimings are a bit misleading when checked online. The correct the correct timings are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 8 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8 AM to 8 PM. read more

I called Sanatana dharma temple for Shraddha karya - it is too expensive $151 to temple and $151 to priest. I declined. This is fleecing of Brahmins (who do Shradda karyas without fail) by brahmins (priests)!! Management please note - It is too expensive! It will read two chapters from Garuda purana and one from Sri Devi Bhagavatham with full shraddha and will do a tarpan with full devotion (bhakti) and shraddha. I cannot afford the rates. read more

One has to visit this temple on any festival day during the time there is pooja. You will hear the melodious voice of the chief Priest Pandit Sri Sivaramakrishnan. If you come on a day like Shivarathri or a day when Siva worship is done. Those days Vedas are chanted by the Veda Circle members, and chanted as in no other temple in US. Experience the mystical chanting and every one is treated with respect in this temple. Pick up a monthly Agenda from temple and you can know when to visit the temple. Additionally yoga teaching, performing Surya Namaskarams with the entire vedic chanting, teaching of upanishads including Rudram are being done weekly and many times during weekday evenings. Namaskaram: In reply to Leena's comment, I want to add that the temple is currently going through many modifications externally. And it is looking very beautiful. I personally think that the sign is a perfect sign considering that the nearby temple has none. Never the less, the next door temple is equally as beautiful. The food Leena mentions is what devotees bring in as offerings to the Gods, and our primal God, Shiva. After the Gods and Lord Shiva have finished absorbing the mannas and then blessing the food, it is then distributed to the devotees after service is done. Every dish that is brought in is delicious. The services offered by the temple can be accommodated to the individuals income. All of the priests and staff are very friendly indeed. I want to also add that this temple is one of the few temples in which the milk miracle of Ganesha did occur. Finally every sunday free ayurvedic services are provided. Absolutely beautiful deities and can feel the fantastic and peaceful vibrations coming from them. This and the one priest, Krishnananda, are the only draws. After attending for some months, was told that I was no longer welcome, including to a Janmashtami event, because of my race. And yes, I am Hindu. Many were welcoming, but it seems that the highers ups heard too many concerns about my being there and I was therefore dismissed. The temple is beautiful but the priests are extremely rude. Now I have had quite a few bad experiences in dealing with the priests there. I had some offerings that I got for the temple after a puja at home. When I asked the priest where can I put the offerings, hestarted shouting in front of the entire crowd and told me not to bring these offerings after puja at home.We dont keep it. We just throw it. You should get only money instead. He peeped into the packet and told me that there is no need to put it in the temple - it was all the stuff that we donantde at Makar Sankranti. Even before when I went to light the diya on Saturday, another priest would keep the area closed and not let the public in. I have been going to this temple fo last 6 years, however, the recent experiences have been so condescending that I decided to go to other temple. Temple is very Nice.But very bitter experience with priest.This review is only for Priest. Anybody who goes to temple - knows Sivaramakrishnan.A previous reviewer(Monisha) mentioned that priests were rude - which i truly agree.I had made Prasad On monday for Lord shiva - for which there is abhishekam every day.Another priest was very happy about the prasad and asked us to offer to devotees.here comes sivaramakrishnan yelling at us that we have to clear the place after everyone has taken the prasad(which i completely agree and was happy to oblige). But he made another STATEMENT - YOU HAVE TO INFORM HIM AHEAD OF TIME BEFORE BRINGING PRASAD.I dont think any temple has this rule.Every body who comes to temple bring laddus or sweets from store.I had made the prasad after coming from work, fresh that evening.I spoke to the temple manager - he mentioned that there were no rules(call before getting prasad) like that. So please stay away from that priest.Iam really very sad and disheartened of the fact that temple which is meant to be peaceful , people who are incharge behave rudely and upset somebody. read more
