I stopped in and worked with Shelly who seems to take care of nearly everything at the store. She was helpful, providing me with a lot of information and encouraging me to take samples home with me to see how they'd look in the rooms. I came back a few days later and placed my order. Shelly was not in at the time but called me the very next morning to process the order. When I wasn't able to speak because I was in a meeting, she texted with me to ensure that the order was placed ASAP. I ordered the carpet on a Friday and it was installed the following Wednesday. The installer was professional and patient, answering my millions of questions. I would definitely recommend Permanent Floors Carpet One and would purchase from them again without hesitation!

All was well at first. They came out right away and quoted me at $2500 and ensured that if I placed the order now they would have plenty of time to receive and install the carpet before our big visit. Once I agreed and they charged my card the down payment, I get a phone call almost a week later telling me that their distributor mis-quoted and that the new price is $3300. I was upset because I felt like this was a bait and switch since they knew I was in a bind, plus I didn't see how it was our fault that they didn't get their numbers correct. If our business misquoted our clients you better believe we would be eating that cost. However, we eventually negotiated to split the increase and he ensured me that all was well with our deadline. Two days before they are scheduled to install, four days before my deadline, they tell me that they can't get the carpet in time even though UPS offers NDA and Saturday delivery. They threw their distributor under the bus yet refused to let me contact them to see if I could get the carpet shipped direct through our UPS account. They were completely unwilling to work with me on installing another day and gave me no other options. I could tell that they didn't want to do the work due to their previous mistakes making the job less profitable for them. I understand that to a point, but as a I now have to explain to my boss why the carpet is not being replaced it's my ass on the line. Bottom Line: Shady business practices that will leave you in the lurch.

We did receive a call from their quality control manager. He was patient in listening to our concerns throughout our experience with the install and follow-ups. He came out a couple days later to inspect the installation. His conclusion was the seams were in spec. He said ideally, someone would have given us awareness of the difficulty of making the seams look good for this color and material combination. No additional discussion or follow-up was done based on this visit. From our perspective. At the end of the day, specs do not matter to someone purchasing high end carpet and paying a premium for installation. The only thing that matters is how it looks in the end. The seams are inconsistent with half being not noticeable, while major common area seams being very noticeable in many lighting conditions. Saying they are within specification can vary greatly and creeping up on the bare minimum of acceptable. I can guarantee you the majority of home owners paying $16,000 for carpet & installation are going to determine Floorz simply does not have high standards and is fine with providing the bare minimum to their customers. Original Review It is difficult for us to recommend Floorz based on our experience. TLDR Unprofessional installers, lack of oversight during installation, required additional fixes and corrections post install (many seams still show), no follow up once paid in full. Overview We spent $16000 with Floorz last December to get all of our carpet replaced. We paid 50% down and 50% upon completion of the core issues. 4 bedrooms, upstairs hallway, living room, and family room. All rooms were completely unfurnished. Pros We like the carpet we chose, padding, and color. The material was good quality and we would choose it again. When we communicated our concerns with how everything was left the first day, they came and picked up the carpet left on our front lawn. They came back to fix multiple areas of the carpet, stairs, closets that would no longer stay on or close properly, doors that were not put back on well, and vents that were popping out. These were not the original installers and made everything look a lot better than the initial install. Cons The installers left the house a complete mess the first day. They did not complete any room, left all the closet and upstairs doors in both bathrooms with our only showers. Constant cursing in Spanish until I called it out the next day. It was obvious we were actively living in the house. There looked to be no one overseeing or planning how a 2 day job would be done while we were living in the house. They left all of our old carpet on our front lawn on day 1 when we were told it would be hauled away. We would have never agreed to this since we have a HOA. When they were done on day 2, there were many issues all around. Required 2 follow-ups for carpet to fix a poor install on the stairs, multiple improper transitions to the hardwood floors, stretching of multiple areas of the carpet, many poor seams that are still showing after 4 months. 1 follow-up to repair closets and doors that were removed and no longer closed properly and all vents in carpeted areas that were popping out. While we were waiting for these fixes to happen, I received an unprofessional email stating to pay by the next day or it will be sent to collections. This was while we were already scheduled for the crew fixing the carpet on the stairs to come back with additional carpet since the first installers took all the extra with them. Conclusion They seriously need better quality control with who they are contracting out the installation. As a homeowner, I want a company that checks the work is done right. I shouldn't have to check the work, call all the discrepancies out, and ask for them to be fixed. If I was the owner, I would follow-up proactively around this experience to make sure it never happens again. No follow-up occurred after the final payment and I'm still bothered how these seams look after 4 months. I'm concerned about what level of warranty I actually have if this is how the initial install went.

When we did decide to go with them, they measured incorrectly and didn't have enough materials which delayed the finishing of the floor. We did the tear out ourselves but they added on to the price for leveling materials which we felt should have been accounted for in the original bid. We really like the look of the luxury vinyl tile that we got but there are areas that squeak terribly.

Holding them side by side they feel different in your hands and are different shades as well (although both considered "elliptical oak"). Best Laminate insists this is not an error on their part and it is just made in different places. I was trying to match the "Pro" flooring I have. Nowhere on the online listing does it say the word "Original", but it does say "Pro". I feel this was an error on their part. I did not order a swatch because it said "Pro" and the number/color matched. They are allowing me to return it, but I do have to pay shipping both ways which will come out to be about $300-400. This was a huge hit for me being a single mom of 3 already having to pay for the floor restoration after a water leak. PLEASE order a sample before buying from them to be sure that it matches. I would honestly check your local stores rather than order from Best Laminate. They charged me 630+ the shipping for what my local Carpet Exchange gave me for $350 total and shipping wasn't necessary.

I hired Garage Finisher before the whole COVID thing really took off. He actually approached me and…read morealerted me to the issues with the masks which I had no idea was going on. He said the masks were bulk-purchased the year prior as part of his standard equipment for his employees before COVID-19 was even known and he was selling them due to the slowdown in business. I personally didn't see a problem with this as lots of people on eBay are selling gloves, masks, and toilet paper at exorbitant costs and are not being sued. He has since refunded all the money and donated all but 80 masks to the medical centers. Regardless of how you feel about the mask issue I can at least comment on the work he did for me. Mario remodeled my 4 car garage which had crumbling dry wall, water damage, cracked floors, a lead-covered door, etc. He met my wife and I in the evening due to work constraints. He stayed 2.5 hours to complete our consultation and had a virtual draft of the plan within 2 days. We flip-flopped on how we wanted things laid out a few times and he was very flexible adjusting things and updating the draft. He was always easy to reach and responded within a few hours even if it was not during business hours. Once the work began, things moved very quickly and his crew did good work. Mario frequently came by to inspect the work being done but wasn't on site all the time. When we brought up cosmetic issues with a few plaster drips or areas we though needed more patching, his crew took care of it immediately. Our whole garage was done in about 1.5 wks with a slight delay due to some lights being damaged in shipping. This was impressive since we had major electrical and plumbing work done in addition to the floor, cabinets, painting, lighting, slat wall, installing a gas heater, and replacing our attic stairs. The flooring material is strong, durable, easy to clean, and guaranteed for life which is amazing. Overall we found working with Garage Finisher to be a very easy process and are extremely happy with our garage.
