They also ripped out a fence and removed all the backyard weeds. I only asked for the part around the turf area, but they cleaned up the whole backyard without me asking for it. They also sprayed the backyard for weeds. I asked for a shutoff valve to be replaced because it was dripping and they changed not only the shutoff-valve but also the three irrigation valves because they looked old. There's a reason why these folks have five stars: Service. I phoned in to several services looking for someone who could transplant a pair of 12-foot cypress trees from my front yard to my backyard. For some reason, there are several companies that say on their Yelp profiles that they perform tree transplanting. However, when you call them, they tell you that they don't do it. I wasn't expecting much, let me tell you, but Krystal texted back only minutes after I left a message to Stone Family Services this morning. Turns out that they DO actually perform transplanting. Jake was able to come out several hours later and talk with my wife directly. Turns out that moving these cypress has about a 99% chance of killing them, so we decided to leave them as is. He was able to straighten one of the trees out (at no charge) and give my wife some very useful information she had been trying to figure out for several years about our yard. The short story is that if I could give them six stars, I would. Their workmanship is first rate and they are very professional. More importantly, they stand behind their work. Half of my yard came in beautifully, and half had some issues. When I called to ask them if anything could be done, Jake came out, looked it over and schedule a time to make further repairs. And this was after I had already paid in full, and this was without any additional charge. He showed up as scheduled, augmented the grass that was struggling and now my yard looks absolutely amazing!!! If you need landscaping or sprinkler work, I truly believe that they are a good choice. Here's the details if interested... They have a saying that the grass is always greener over the septic tank. Not in my yard. When they put in a new septic tank a few years ago, I think they backfilled with clay and caliche. Half my yard was just dirt and half was just having a hard time growing. Jake came in, rototilled the dirt area, mixing in nutrients (Not sure what), and put down new sod. It's been a few weeks now and that whole area is just perfect. Green, thick and soft (Dogs love it). He also treated the rest of the yard to help it grow better. Most of it responded, but some of that area was still uneven and not growing well. That was the area that I asked if anything could be done, and that is the area that he came back and worked on. I needed someone to replace the control manifold of 5 sprinkler valves since they were over 40 years old and you can no longer get parts for them. I am getting to old to get down there and fix something like that and really couldn't figure out how to get the new valves connected to the supply and the 5 different lines in such a tight space. Jake Stone gave me a reasonable quote after asking me to send him a picture of the existing manifold. I really like Yelp's contractor request system and got several similar quotes and I appreciate all of them for their response.
