We stopped to admire the beautiful facade of a building on Jones Street when the owner of this store took it upon himself to shoo me and my elderly father away. Funny, because right after he happily welcomed in two white women. Then, while taking a picture of my elderly mother on a public sidewalk, the owner continued to stare us down like we were filth under his shoe. Must have been our brown skin. Sorry our Filipino heritage is too much of a nuisance for you. Word of advice to these entitled store owners: Don't block a public pathway with your tacky furniture and then have the audacity to treat out-of-town visitors in such a hateful and demeaning way. When I didn't hear anything from them after several weeks, I called to inquire about the delivery, and they had no record of my order. Lucky I found my receipt. I waited 4 more months and the bench finally arrived, but it was the wrong color. The owner Holly refused to refund us, and screamed at us in the store insisting that was the bench we ordered. She refused to admit they made a mistake. She said she'll "look around" for a bench that will work for us. As of now, 8 months past the order date, we have no bench and no refund.
