I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with this office. I went in for a callus and…read morecorn removal, the procedure itself was quick and fairly easy. The doctor put a bandaid on it and said there was blood bc of a sweat gland. I was in a bit of pain still after leaving, but thought nothing of it bc of the cut. The next day I still had pain which led me to believe the callus had not been fully removed. After contacting the office, I was told to wait until the bleeding healed to verify where the pain was coming from. I patiently waited and then scheduled a follow-up appointment to address the continued pain, after three days. The earliest appointment that worked for me that they had available was approximately 7 days later (there was a weekend in those days). When I arrived, however, I was told I would have to pay either my copay or another $50 callus removal fee before the doctor would even look at me to correct the issue. This is when I learned that corns apparently can't be removed, only calluses can be shaved off (apparently I needed to read the fine print before signing and would have known that). This was incredibly frustrating as the first time I had a callus/corn taken care of (from a foot doctor in Florida) I had no issue, no pain and confidence that I wouldnt have to worry about the problem for another good longtime (5 years to be exact). Again I am flabbergasted by the staffs dismissive behavior and the nurses down right rude and disgruntled attitude. They made it clear that I would not be seen unless I paid the additional fees, along with an overdue fee that until that day I had never seen or been aware of. An overdue fee that was 3 years old! A overdue fee that had never been communicated to me before that day (not even at my appointment 7 days earlier)--no overdue notices, no phone calls, nothing! This lack of transparency and poor communication is unacceptable. Clearly I am not a subject matter expert on feet, and am an average joe when it comes to "reading the fine print," but I truly do not believe I deserved to be treated the way I was! I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I went to Duke Medical Center and had my prostate removed robotically. My recovery was successful. Dr. Chamberlain told me I could not be seen by any other urologist in Pinehurst Surgical Clinic because I went to Duke. I must now find a urologist out of town due to no other ones practicing locally. I find this to be very unfair.

He made me feel comfortable & hopeful during my shocking diagnosis of breast cancer. Moreover, from my initial visit thru several surgeries, procedures and the radiation treatments, he was thorough about the process and I was, my husband and sister who accompanied me at each visit were put at ease! The front desk personnel, his nurse, his secretary to include all the Health Professionals at First Health and Pinehurst Surgical were always friendly, courteous and attentive to my needs and concerns! After my last radiation treatment, I was able to ring the bell on Veteran's Day 11 November! my father had his hernia surgery some time ago with the doctor but went back in this past july with…read morea small bulge and complaining of pain. doctor blithely told him he did not have a hernia and proceeded to roughly and painfully examine him, including his sensitive parts. my father, a former pilot, has had this type of exam for years without problem. is this anyway to treat an 80 year old??? turns out that he in fact DOES have another hernia after his GP ordered an ultrasound. this doctor should be avoided.
