She listens and helps me analyze/clarify/improve different areas of my life without imparting any judgement. I love that she's open-minded, positive and perceptive. Sandra is an excellent instructor. I attended Sandra's sessions through her work at BasicTraining SF so had a group type class. During workouts, Sandra has managed to find the perfect balance between being caring and being firm at the same time. She has an uncanny ability to tell when we are going slow because we are being lazy and should push ourselves more and when we are going slow because we've pushed ourselves as hard as we can go. I think it is nice when instructors can push you to attain your personal best rather than pushing you in reference to other people in the class. Sandra does this well and I think this is a very positive way to motivate people. I think the exercises are diverse and challenging but at the same time Sandra always gives us modifications for our various injuries which I think is exceptional. Sandra has a wonderful personality and has fostered a welcoming and fun environment. I think Sandra has the ability to recognize that fitness is not just about how many push ups you can do, but there are so many reasons for wanting to achieve physical fitness, health, healing, goal setting etc. She is knowledgeable about other health aspects such as physical therapy, good places to get massages etc. which I have found very helpful. It's going to be hard for me to describe how impactful my experience with Sandra has been. I don't think "coach" appropriately captures her essence. Maybe guru? Divine wizardess? When I found her, I was deeply burnt out and lost after grinding for a decade in Big Law. I declared that I will have one of my art pieces in a gallery by the end of the program and that happened. I started taking care of my health and really looked at where I am out of integrity in life. I am so grateful Sandra shot onto my radar, after I heard her speak in a podcast. What she said about previously being a chronic people pleaser and losing herself to that, really resonated with me. I got in touch with her and, after an initial chat during which I felt an immediate connection and was deeply impressed by Sandra's warmth, empathy and intuition, I did her short course 'Radiant'. I was a little nervous about the expense at first. I'd never done anything like this before and wasn't sure how helpful video calls and self-directed reflection homework tasks would be. I was wrong to question it. I got more out of this short course than I could have expected. Life has ramped up in some great ways since I completed the course and I definitely think Radiant played a big role in that. I'm far less afraid to ask for more money, to fill up a room, to speak up and use my voice. And I now have a toolbox of exercises which help me to show up every day as my best self - from journalling tasks, to self-love showers (ask Sandra), to visualisations, thought-switching and body language practices. For all those who are sceptical, I want to stress that I'd always been put off by life-coaching before because I thought it sounded too self-involved and my ultimate aim is to serve others as best I can, but I've realised that to do that I need to be my best, most joyful, most radiant self.
