I am also aware there are other cricket clubs that use this ground. I have to say I have never been disappointed playing here and the sports facilities are pretty good. This place does hold some good cricketing memories for me and I do enjoy playing at this ground. The kitchen facilities that is situated near the sports ground at King Edward is pretty good. The room next to the kitchen is where my team and the opposition have our tea and it is of decent size. My friends who also play for Indian Sports say they enjoy playing their cricket here. The changing rooms are clean and so are the toilets. Showers can be hit and miss at times. Sometimes the water can be cold or sometimes it can be warm. Which is why I tend to have a shower at home. One annoying thing is the fact there are deep bushes on one side of the ground. So if a ball does get hit for six and goes in the direction of the bushes, you could be searching for that ball for quite some time.

A great school!!…read more Pupils are happy and articulate. Current pupils and alumni alike are definitely proud of their school. Teachers and supporting staff are happy and conscientious and do whatever is possible for each pupil to achieve their best (in exams but also as a well rounded person). Exam results are amongst the best in the country. It's a school for boys from Yr7 to Yr11 and mixed in the Sixth Form. Exciting developments ahead: A brand new Sixth Form Centre is being built at the moment and will be in use by the new year A brand new house system is in place since September with a number of competitions and clearly the kids are delighted and motivated

Phoenix Collegiate (South Campus) is a School/College for 11-19 year olds and the College itself offers a broad curriculum of subjects for students. The Collegiate aims to be a high performing local school and serve the community. The school has been developed in recent years but improvements can still be made in my view. But one plus is the new Learning Resource Centre building. Having been given a tour of the building when I was looking for a Sixth Form to join, I have to say it was impressive. The facilities are improving and at least 45% of pupils achieved 5 or more A*-C grades last year so things are on the up for Phoenix Collegiate.

Split into two separate sites, one for infants and one for junior children this school is the heart of the Selly Park community and really provides a rounded education which prepares children for the secondary school experience. It is a quaint and intimate school with wonderful greenery and a fantastic set of staff that liaise sensationally with parents and do everything within their power to ensure the happiness of pupils. This school has a reputation for excellence with a swimming team which has won the local gala on countless occasions and they continue to strive for high levels of attainment. I feel extremely privileged to have attended this centre of educational excellence and would urge any parents in the area to consider this school as an option for their young children.
