My favorite thing was the quiet mornings drinking coffee on the back porch watching the sunrise! I was thankful for the amenities that were provided (coffee pot, cable tv, WiFi, hot griddle pan, grill, and big nice walk in shower). Our kids cried and begged to stay on our last morning lol. Clean, comfortable, quiet and a very rustic feel the owners have done a great job on the place. Gary and Paula, the managers, did a great job of making us feel at home. There isn't much around. We brought dinner with us (micro wave in room) and enjoyed dinner with a view after a nice swim in the pool. It's set off of the owner's residence but still feels very private. We used the hot tub each day and night and it was so relaxing. It felt like you were in the middle of the woods. I sat in the hot tub with a book and a glass of wine each night. The breakfasts were amazing! The owners were kind and personable without hovering. Breakfast was personally delivered each morning to our cottage. I preferred this over having to get dressed and hang out with other guests as we've experienced in other bed and breakfasts. The local area is cute with restaurants and a lovely bookshop called Intermission. You must check it out!

I think they were truly concerned about me as a person, because I'm not a troublemaker or doing drugs and all that. Just another human trying to get things in life straightened out. The man in the office just told me that if I need anything, come on down or call me. I've worked hospitality since my early 20's as a Night Auditor mostly, and this is the way a Motel or Hotel should be run. With kindness and knowing that the guests aren't just numbers. We are all humans. I'm on day 3 now and I'm not sure what's going to happen tomorrow, but I do know that I do not regret coming here. I'm very thankful that I was lead here.
