Everything from the layout to the very friendly and informed staff is great. I love the work tables/workstations for setting up my computer and working on my graphic arts business. The ambiance, layout, lighting, and traffic makes for a great balance between being able to concentrate and yet have the feeling of being surrounded by a nice buzz of quiet activity. The hours are good, though I miss the good old days when libraries were open late on Friday evenings, and some even open on Sunday afternoons.

There's lots of seating and even some separate rooms to read or do work in. There is a third floor with a coffee shop and book store that both weren't open when I visited. The library itself is beautiful! Murals, art, shells, and history of Fort Myers is all over the library. This is definitely the better library in SWFL, certainly worth taking a drive out for.

He has graduated to a Scout Master and hopes to enlist another Boy Scout who wants to earn his Eagle Scout badge to work on the library. It's a small price to pay IMO if you consider what's in store for you once you cross over the causeway although the charges continue if you visit the many beautiful beaches these lots are also pay by plate and the rates are $5.00 per hour and the charges are per beach so keep this in mind if you plan on visiting multiple beaches there are no roll overs from beach to beach once you scan the QR Code on the first beach and establish an account paying is a breeze as is extending your time.
