If the rest of the district was only half as good as Vineyard, then it's no wonder why many parents from Atascadero and Paso Robles wanted to send their kids to this district! VES has been such a wonderful school for me when I was a child. Me, my mother, and my sibling moved to North County temporarily in the early 2000's and me and my sibling were assigned to this school. My sibling also went to TMS and was told that he had just as much of a wonderful experience as VES. Coming from a terrible school where the students tormented us and the staff being of no help, this school was a complete 180! I made more friends on my first week at that school than I did the 4 years I was at my old school (my old school was a K-6 school). I also remembered having very few days where I encountered deep depression and then it got to the point where I wasn't having any. I also remembered being pulled out of speech therapy after 3 sessions as they questioned why my old school still kept me on the program as I was able to comprehend much better than most students! The teachers were AMAZING! Very top notch and always took the extra mile to make sure that students thrived on their education! I don't ever recall any of the teachers playing favorites at all (a HUGE PROBLEM at an elementary school I attended before VES) and the teachers always made sure to help those who struggled as well as the ones that got the material down. When VES says that there's zero tolerance on bullying, they MEANT IT! If you had any problems, you let them know and they sorted it out whereas at my old school, they would "look into it" and never did. I have only made one report the entire time I was at that school and it got resolved. All in all, VES has been the BEST thing that has ever happened to me in my grade school years! In fact, it was the ONLY school where I was actually sad to leave and couldn't wait to go back to school the next day! I hope that school still takes care of their students like they did with me because I knew what it's like to constantly be bullied and have to suck it up because no one was willing to help you. It's a scar that still haunts me to this day when I think about it and I'm glad that this school took care of me because this school taught me at such a young age not to give up on life because life does get better. And it has. Thank you Templeton Unified School District and thank you Vineyard Elementary School!

The bathrooms are ALWAYS trashed and dirty, and there is LOTS of bullying. Also this school gave me depression and social anxiety stay safe

My 2 oldest have even chosen to continue the Spanish program in middle school and plan to earn the state biliteracy seal by the end of high school! The teachers are great and communicate very well when you need them. My kids have always loved every teacher they've had there. The office staff treats you you with respect and helps you with whatever you need. There are many opportunities for parents to help out and volunteer, to become involved with the kids and the school. We are glad we chose to place all 4 of our kids at Georgia Brown for their early education.

My daughter had amazing teachers, and I really wanted her to embrace the Spanish language. However, I decided to transfer her to Pat Butler where I was going to send my son who had speech issues because I wanted him to just learn English. What I discovered in changing schools is how dirty Georgia Brown is. Litter is everywhere spilled lunch not cleaned up. How is the school so dirty compared to other schools like Pat Butler?-- and it's not just because it's older, it's the people that attend the school. I discovered that they don't do background checks on everyone who volunteers. Sure there's a volunteer packet, but they don't hold responsible and they don't lay down the rule if those are not filled out. People volunteer and are able to volunteer with or without the back ground check/ Tb shot. They are not that organized to openly discuss where the children will be during certain drastic weather conditions, like Pat Butler does. Probably because they just make them all go outside even if it's freezing cold. As far as the PTA, they don't really know how to organize events or make money for the school like I have seen at Pat Butler. They don't know how to reach out to resources for donations for the raffle's. They just asked the kids and the parents to bring knickknacks. Georgia Brown is right across from some apartments and upon picking the children up from school I have seen gross full dirty diapers along the curb side, like the people that live in those apartments live just as dirty. I went to the office and ask them if they were going to call the city to come clean up the streets and they told me, "why don't you call".... so they obviously do not care about their perimeters being kept clean. I will just say I am super glad that I've switched my children to a better school. Of course I love the language of Spanish and I had wished that so much for my family, but not at the expense of the conditions at Georgia Brown.
