I had to call the Sheriff's Dept. because of a dispute with my neighbor in which I felt threatened because of her current actions and due to her history of mental issues. Officer Bonner came to my home. He refused to let me tell him my concerns fully and explain why I felt as I did. He spoke dismissively, condescendingly, rudely, and disrespectfully to both me & my husband. He asserted the situation was "ridiculous" without taking the time to fully understand the situation. A subsequent phone conversation with his superior (Sgt.) was somewhat better but it became clear that anything that Officer Bonner said or did would be deemed "professionalism" when I know there is a huge difference between professionalism and disrespect. So my advice to anyone is that if you feel you are in danger and need assistance from law enforcement you would be well-advised to request that Officer Bonner not be allowed to be dispatched but rather a more qualified and fit deputy to help you. read more
