Pacheco Ranch Winery was a magical spot to get married in a gorgeous outdoor setting. From the…read morebeginning, Deb and Herb Rowland, the owners, were so thoughtful and gracious; an absolute pleasure to work with. We loved that Deb provided great resources for vendors she has worked with, but that she is also flexible and willing to work with others you want to bring in. They clearly take so much pride in what they do and it absolutely shows in the warm and personal experience you have at Pacheco. The property is adorned with citrus trees and flowering vines, beside the hillside vineyards, waterfall stream and the lovely old farmhouse. It's tucked into a small valley, protected from the wind. In the evening, strings of bistro lights make the dining and dance area twinkly and romantic. Our guests loved the space and kept commenting on how beautiful, relaxing and unique it was. Deb answered all of our questions leading up to the event very helpfully and provided a site plan to help vendors understand where to install things like the tables, dance floor, bar and buffet. We really appreciated how responsive she was and how willing to troubleshoot any unexpected issues. Beyond which, she and Herb and their employee Ann are so sweet and fun to be around. We're very happy we picked Pacheco as our wedding venue. If you're looking for somewhere personal, beautiful and one of a kind to tie the know, you will love it too.

We couldn't describe more ideal hosts for our wedding - Deb and Herb were kind and thoughtful, extremely professional and prompt, super flexible, and an absolute joy to work with. With all our questions and extra visits, we always felt welcome and accommodated at Pacheco Ranch. On the day of the wedding, Herb and Deb were directing traffic, managing vendors, and clearly enjoying every moment of it. They take so much pride and love in caring for their home, and it shows in the natural beauty that flows throughout the ranch.

The San Rafael outpost of Groundfloor is a clean, well-lighted place and then some. I come often…read more Pablo, my dog, sometimes joins. The coffee machine can do many things. Lattes. Cappuccinos. The rest. Black is enough for me. Strong. Simple. It's quiet, but not empty. The hum of others working, softly talking, is a companion--not a distraction. There's a calendar of events: walks, talks, writing nights, yoga, new-member hours, dinners, creative meetups. You can move from work into laughter without leaving the space. The app echoes the calendar. It nudges you into things without pushing. It reminds you there is always a next thing to connect around. Here, you work alone--but not lonely. You sit in quiet--and step into company. You drink coffee--and sometimes wine. You write--and sometimes join a book club, a run, or a gathering of new faces. This is how work was meant to be: rooted, open, full of potential.

I don't think I realized how much I needed Groundfloor until I was here…read more I missed the water-cooler chats, brainstorming, shared lunches & background hum of coworkers in an office when my job went fully remote. I finally realized that those things make a big difference in my energy, engagement and fulfilment in work & everyday life. This is no ordinary co-working space. People are friendly & welcoming: open for a casual chat during Community Lunch, willing to help you think through business or personal challenges, and a blast to hang out with at events both in and outside the club. It's great for work: noise levels are rarely distracting, there are phone booths and a conference room for private calls, a library quiet space, and a gorgeous outdoor patio to shake up the scenery. The socializing is great: book club, hiking club, AI learning sessions. Need a friend to go to a baseball game or music festival with? How about a potluck backyard party with twinkly lights and laughter? Done. When Jermaine, one of the founders, told me that their mission was "to end loneliness" (rather than something like creating just a place for work) it finally clicked for me why this place feels like home. See you at the Club!

The first time my husband and I looked at this venue we loved it. It's nice because it has a…read morebeautiful courtyard, a chapel, and a few other rooms. Our first visit was with Nancy who was the previous coordinator. She was great! Once we decided to book this venue Nancy was no longer with Unity and Heidi had taken over. Heidi is the reason for a one star. We met with Heidi several times before the wedding. She was never there for the appointments saying she put it for the following week. She had no clue who we were when she finally did show up. One of the things that is in the contract is that we would get a coordinator for the rehersal and day of the wedding for the entire wedding. Heidi Assured me that if I labeled everything she would set it up. An hour before the wedding nothing had been set up. The groom had to direct everyone on where to set things up. She also let me know that there would be 3 coordinators throughout the event (Heidi, her daughter, and Aribella). I was really trusting in Heidi to set things up. I went through every single decoration and labeled where it went. The coordinators set nothing up. Nothing. Also the last coordinator left 2 hours before the wedding ended. I am shocked at how poorly everything was handled. The venue alone has many perks but the service was awful.

The outdoor courtyard doesn't have natural shade, thus it is very exposed to the sun. Please make sure that you have enough umbrellas for your guests, as the wedding I attended there were only enough umbrellas for maybe half of the tables, and even the tables that were fortunate to have an umbrella it was not enough shade could not cover everyone at the table, so guests were standing under the archway to get of out of the heat, because people were burning up, especially the men in their full suits. An option would also to be invest in a misting fan. Second observation, at the wedding we attended, the dinner tables were outside while the dance floor was inside a building. This made it rather awkward and separated. I would recommend putting a dance floor outside to make it more welcoming and encompassing as one event.

Updating my review from 4 stars to 5, because this place is really, truly, wonderful…read more We always meet such kind people here. The kind of people that say "hello" in passing, or even stop and talk for a while. And, oh, the flowers! So many beautiful flowers. The roses are in full bloom again, which is delightful! I love that our sweet pup loves to come here to sniff and walk around. She's an older girl now, and as old age issues are coming upon her-each day with her is a gift. So, to see her joy when pitter pattering the grounds just touches my heart and forces me to be completely present in the moment.

Except for my husband, we were all used to walking around the Huntington Gardens and Descandso Gardens in So Cal, which are now much larger and more diverse. Plus, winter is not the best time to visit a garden. That said, we all had a lovely walk. The parking is easy and accessible. The paths are wide and well marked. Dogs are allowed on leash. The gardens are well maintained and the other buildings are well maintained. I realize that there is parking, including handicap parking, by the Barn Theater where Ross Valley Theater has plays. My husband is recovering from extensive open heart surgery with significant complications and he was able to walk all around with us and is encouraged to know that we will be able to go to local live theater. It's a great place to go for ideas, take kids, walk dogs, and unwind. It's free! So you don't have to worry about saving money. Great value.
